Good length for an inner city hotel pool but very overlooked by surrounding buildings.  Better for swimming for exercise than relaxing poolside

You likely saw the Navaratri festival which the temple is famous for. Many aspects of Thai Buddhism are closer to Hinduism than orthodox Buddhism.

An interesting twist is that Ganesha in Thailand is specifically associated with praying for $$$ and lottery luck. In orthodox Hinduism he is known as the remover of obstacles, while there is a prosperity element, it pertains to smooth starts to new businesses, the repayment of debts, receiving a promotion at work etc. Only the Thais blissfully show up with sugarcane and pineapples asking for magic lottery numbers.

Have a look out the window of Meridien lounge when you are next there. It overlooks the Voco pool. I believe best view is from the lounge toilet….
