While I share your disgust for Don the Con, and also admit that I'd cheer his demise, calling for actively killing him is in poor taste (and something Trumplethinskin might do)--as is T&T's tacky wedding. You have every right to criticize the Gaslighter-in-Chief, since he's a public figure. When it comes to being a hypocrite, look at yourself. I have the same right to criticize Swift's grandstanding as you (and I) have to criticize the similar behavior by Don-anne the Vulgarian. And I wasn't bragging about my wedding, but rather musing that I was able to find three caterers offering better food at a lower price than the one recommended by our wedding planners.

Because I lack Luigi Mangioni's courage or insanity, maybe both. But I do hope somebody steps up. And I don't feel the least bit tacky for saying so, given the number of deaths he has caused.

WHOA, there you go again, stirring the pots and putting words in my mouth.   Where in my comment did I ever advocate "killing him"

My comment WAS "why wait for a fire" ?   But YOU choose to twist and reinterpret that....just so you could once again "judge and blame"

I should report YOU to the admins for defamation.

And I also never denied your right to criticize Taylor, or anyone...   All I said was people have the right to spend their money as they choose, not the way YOU want.

And, on top of that, you  reinterpret bragging into "musing"....   "GIRL, you a BRAGGER".. !     You believe it makes you superior to everyone else.

So Trumpian,  EVERYTHING is fine as long as YOU do it !

Your desperation to always be RIGHT and defend your abhorrent behavior makes you look like a fool.....    (See, I've evolved, I DIDNT actually call you a FOOL)  :yahoo:

The only thing that remains tacky and in poor taste here is your stagnant behavior of judgement.    :thumbsu:

I wonder if the ceremony was taped for future streaming?  There might be a revenue angle involved.

I'm assuming they've sold the publicity rights.

Musk was responsible for the shuttering of USAID. Estimates are that it has caused 500,000 deaths or more so far with the number climbing into the millions by 2030.

Trump is also responsible for that as well as the enormous death toll from Covid last time around.

Both men are murders on an almost unprecedented scale. If anything calls for the death penalty, this does. I am not going to wring my hands about 2 deaths while ignoring millions of others.

While I agree that Trump and Musk (who was merely following orders and therefore not quite so guilty) are essentially murderers, when you are a country the size of the USA with an elected leader, the electorate surely have to accept some of the blame? Under your hypothesis, Nixon and Kissinger should have been before the World Court and then executed (even though the maximum penalty the Court can hand down is life imprisonment). But it is only leaders of quite small countries like Milosovic and Duterte who end up in that Court. Chiang Kai Shek, Mao, Stalin, Yahya Khan, Pol Pot, Netanyahu and a host of others are as guilty as Trump but their coterie of willing participants and in many cases death has ensured none were called to account.

Oh yes, I absolutely hold everyone who voted for Trump responsible for the disaster that is unfolding.

And as an American, whether I supported any of my countries actions or not, I bear part of the stain of them too. Every US citizen does.

This type of sentiment breeds stereotyping, hatred of groups, and genocide. It refuses to acknowledge that while we may have a certain nationality, we are not all the same as our leaders. Just because Hamas members engage in terrorism, doesn't mean all Palestinians are bad, much less that they all bear responsibility and/or should be exterminated. When I travel abroad, I don't want to be branded for Trump's actions, especially since I never voted for him, and despise almost everything for which he stands. Let's respect individuality. I don't hate all Russians just because I hate Putin, nor all Iranians just because I hate their leaders. I treat people as individuals.

Highly immature thinking. Luckily, when we travel, most people treat us like the individuals we are. Hopefully we don't run into any numskulls during our travels.

Yeah right, its the reality.....   You continue to live in your delusional self-centered world.....  where everyone in need of a GoFundMe acct is a SCAMMER..... You are treating well in your travels because you present as the typical " ugly rich American" most likley flaunting your wealth and throwing your dollars around.   Now, I have no proof of that, but based on your behavior HERE, that behavior THERE is predictable.

Your thinking is dated, narrow and SAD.     I'll refrain from commenting on your "maturity", so I dont upset Mavica..... :lolu:

@Mavica, you LOVE those "down arrows",  dont you ?.....   Regardless, you are so predicable.   I always know HOW to get a down arrow out of you....

it will be hard sell to all those 7 billion of people on our planet. Unfortunately whether we like or not we may be hated here and there just because country we are from . But there's bright side - we may be applauded and feted for our compatriots achievements , even if we don't get any part of those- see line below.

I just  congratulated my neighbour, who was born in England ,  England win over Mexico in FIFA cup and his answer was " thank you but I don't care about football"

Expressing support for England over Mexico could get you killed here in Los Angeles.

I get treated well because I respect the locals, most often even speaking the local language to some extent. You don't have the slightest idea of who I am. I try to dress and act inconspicuously. I never wear expensive designer clothes, and am often clad in "Amazon Basics" apparel. My only splurges are business class air travel. Generally, I am respected for my modest and kind behavior when I travel. Most importantly, I don't act like a know-it-all who really has no idea what he's talking about.

I don't bring up football, period.  I made that mistake in the past.  Let sleeping dogs lie.  😖

But back to Taylor and Travis.  He must have a big, big heart to win her love.

A lot of NFL stars get divorced.  Can Travis ride the Swiftie wave?

Until the novelty of it, and the public interest wears off......   All their publicity translates to "dollars" for many people in their circle....  As long as people continue to make money off their "fairy tale romance",  all will be good .
