I could never understand how it was that moderate senators like John McCain and Joe Lieberman formed a regular trio with a hawk like Graham. They frequently talked about their bromance. Graham was a loud-mouthed right-wing idiot who first trashed Trump in no uncertain terms and then became his best pal. That says it all.

Graham was probably all of those, and certainly the last two, since he hired my husband a good decade ago.
