The ad I showed you was on Amazon. I'd be surprised if TH allows Amazon, of all places, to sell fakes of their products. I don't know where my husband gets discount luxury label stuff. I suspect it may not be at their standalone boutiques, but I do get the impression that some (not all) of the luxury brands do heavily discount their merchandise when their new stuff comes out.

I can go on with sexy photos of him (and have some in the the Photos forum), as I'm a major fan. The most famous high-end working model who came to one of my parties was one of the +1's of one of my husband's best friends. The model's name was Scott Gardner, someone whose photos got a lot of jizz out of me. Both he and the friend are kind of "messy" people, and it didn't end up working out between them. Scott is also going through a messy divorce from his apparently extremely rich husband. Despite not having a pre-nup, Scott seems to think he's not going to get anything. I wanted to ask him if he could stay at our place in the few days before his flight to NYC, but my husband put his foot down (especially due to the breakup with his friend). Had he shown up to either meeting and opened up to me about his life, I would have outright given him the ticket (with points).

Thanks for the update.....  we were all on the edge of our seats waiting to see if it would happen....

Firstly, your crush looks much better with his clothes OFF,   dressed, he looks like just any average dude....

And there you go doing that Unicorn thing,    throwing in details to enhance your story and make yourself look like a privileged, affluent "better than you" guy.....   The story would have worked without the "twin lobster tails" detail,  but it wouldnt give YOU the perceived STATUS you were seeking by adding it.....    It takes self-awareness, and for years of you telling your stories,  thats the thing you have lacked.

The meal wasn't over at the time the photo was taken. Part of one lobster tail was uneaten, and was given to one of our actual doggies. We didn't serve gravy with the lobster, but there were dipping bowls with seasoned melted butter. There were flowers behind the table (behind myself, who took that photo). As you can see, the meal was casual (albeit extra tasty). No one (but my hubbie) was dressed to impress. I'd rather impress my friends with how I take care of them than with external appearances. They said they looked forward to getting together again.

FYI a gravy boat isnt only for gravy,  its also for certain condiments, like salad dressing...    While I love Ken's salad dressing (Sweet Vidalia Onion),  I would NEVER put the bottle on my table if I were entertaining guests....Gauche'.....

Yes, they sent a thank-you text. I was trying to impress with fancy food (and wine), not with fancy place settings. Casual but caring is how I like to think of it (after all, they were wearing T-shirts and shorts). They seemed pleased, and my husband and I certainly were pleased, with how the evening went. I was also worried that the conversation would be more one-sided, but it was a genuine, caring give and take. There's another famous person that I've had over (not with lobster), and my husband isn't interested in seeing him again because he spent the whole evening talking about himself. 

He did come to one of our recent parties (June), and I tried to help him along by advising him "Ask my husband how our Danube trip last month went." Unfortunately, this socially awkward man actually went up to my husband later and said "Unicorn asked me to ask you about your latest trip"! Oh, well. 🫠

In Japan you wouldn't dream of visiting someone's house without taking a gift - usually food. It is commonplace not to open the gift until the guests leave.

In Australia, we often take alcohol.

In America, bringing a "hostess gift" when you are invited to someones home, whether it be for a meal or just social banter, is just politeness and ettiquette, NOT to arrive empty handed......   It is not considered "payment" for your meal, just a sign that you were raised "correctly"...... and you are showing your appreciation.....

Damn Vinapu, I would rather live in your culture....Do you know how much money I spent on hostess gifts in my time ?
