I ask because many of you on here have never been there and I guess are comfortable with just going back to Thailand and maybe side trips to Cambodia. Can I ask what is stopping you? From the Thaiger Philippine Airlines (PAL) today announced it will reintroduce direct flights between Cebu City and Thailand’s capital city Bangkok in December. The Philippine flag carrier made public it is to introduce a twice-weekly service, operating on Monday and Friday, which will depart from Cebu in the morning of December 9 and depart from Bangkok in the early afternoon. General Santos City,or Gensan for short is a city in the southern part of the Philippines,it's more a country type city . It even has its own international airport although you can't fly there directly from other countries,you have to change at Manila airport. Gensan is known as the "tuna capital" of the Philippines and will hold the tuna festival in September for those interested. I found General Santos City the best out of all the cities I visited.
