Gay weekly D.C. Agenda sets a memorable date: The return of The Washington Blade By Dan Zak Washington Post Staff Writer Tuesday, April 27, 2010 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/26/AR2010042602653.html The District's long-running gay weekly will resume publishing under its original name, the Washington Blade, at the end of this week, after the acquisition of the Blade's assets in bankruptcy court in Atlanta. In late February, staffers bought the newspaper's name, copyright, trademark, archives, computers and office furniture for $15,000. Twenty-five thousand copies of the first edition of a redesigned Blade will hit the streets Friday.…

So, anybody buying that Jason Pfeiffer was the secret love of Michael Jackson's life? Assuming Mr. Pfeiffer was tired of waiting for his 15 minutes of fame, surely he could have manufactured a better story line.

The weekend of April 17-18 is our Pride Celebration here in Phoenix, and for the 3rd year in a row, I would like to invite fellow posters from here and "the other site" to come to town and share in the festivities. In years past, we have met up on Friday nites at Dicks Cabaret, our local total nude strip club.. Then on Saturday, we meet up and attend the parade and pride festival.. Saturday night, we get together for a nice informal dinner at a local restaurant. I will try my best to get some of the "local talent" to join us for the dinner.. On Sunday, we met up for brunch and then another afternoon of people watching at the festival, followed by another trip to Dick's ca…

How about it guys? When the Pope visits Britain in a few months, let's mark it with the launch a new brand of condoms - Benedict condoms. Or how about his blessing a gay marriage? No? Well, maybe his opening an abortion clinic could be appropriate? Or sacking some "dodgy bishops" and launching a child abuse helpline? Come on! What else can we get him to do? Oh, I know. A formal apology for the Spanish Armada (sent to invade Elizabeth I's Britain in 1588), or perhaps a nice little sing-song with the Queen to raise money for charity. This may sound like something out of a late night satirical show. In fact, the brainstorming suggestions for an "ideal" visit by the P…

For some years, I have wanted to spend a month 'doing' South America. FInally, towards the end of last year I had sufficient air miles in my account to get 14 of the 16 flights I need. Knowing that unless you book popular routes virtually on the day booking opens (in my case, about 350 days ahead), I spent many days working out the routes and schedules. It then took me hours with the main carrier getting seats on as many as possible. I had to compromise a bit, including one internal overnight flight which I did not want, but nothing else was available (on the day booking opened??). FInally I had my trip for October/November 2010 settled. The problem which has arisen i…

I was trawling through some Asian gay dating websites and I noticed how many men from my own country seemed to lie about their actual ages, even though the deception was easy enough to spot because they almost invariably chose to deduct an unbelievable number of years from the truth. That doesn't seem to happen too often with the Thai guys' profiles I looked at, so I was wondering if many farang also shaved a few years off when filling in their profiles. Quite frankly, I suspect that isn't so since most of the farang profiles at which I peeked had photos that seemed reasonable enough - and believable. Same for the Thai ones. Before anyone accuses me of being racist, l…

This entire article fascinated me. Am I the only one that this worries? Google and an alliance of privacy groups have come to Yahoo's aid by helping the Web portal fend off broad requests from the U.S. Department of Justice for e-mail messages, CNET has learned. In a brief filed Tuesday afternoon, the coalition says a search warrant signed by a judge is necessary before the FBI or other police agencies can read the contents of Yahoo Mail messages--a position that puts those companies directly at odds with the Obama administration. Yahoo has been quietly fighting prosecutors' requests in front of a federal judge in Colorado, with many documents filed under seal. Tuesday…

(AP) Mike Huckabee, a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2012, says the effort to allow gays and lesbians to marry is comparable to legalizing incest, polygamy and drug use. Huckabee also told college journalists last week that gay couples should not be permitted to adopt. "Children are not puppies," he said. Huckabee visited The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J., last Wednesday to speak to the Student Government Association. He also was interviewed by a campus news magazine, The Perspective, which published an article on Friday. Huckabee told the interviewer that not every group's interests deserve to be accommodated, if their lifestyle is out…

This cool video tracks air travel traffic over a 24-hour period. While there are regions, like North America and Europe, that are particularly crisscrossed with flights, the overall impression is this is one busy planet.

Prosecutors Say Harlow Cuadra Has ‘No Merit’ In His Appeal http://gayporngossip.com/?p=663 Prosecutors in a case in which a Virginia man was recently convicted and sentenced for killing a Dallas Township man in 2007 filed court papers stating his reasons for appealing his life sentence have no merit. Luzerne County District Attorney Jackie Musto Carroll and Assistant District Attorney Frank Barletta said in court papers that Harlow Cuadra’s complaints do not entitle him to relief. Cuadra, of Virginia, was convicted in March in the death of Dallas Township resident Bryan Kocis, who prosecutors say was his rival in the gay pornography industry. Cuadra and Joseph Kere…

This story has been making the rounds for some time, but it certainly bears repeating in the current situation. On her radio show, Dr. Laura Schlesinger said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22, and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following response is an open letter to Dr. Laura, penned by a US resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative: Dear Dr. Laura: Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try t…
