I’ve now heard from 2 boys that Boyztown will probably close down in two weeks. I’m referring to Boyzboyzboyz, Ambiance Hotel and restaurant, Ambiance massage, Panorama, and Castro. Boyzboyzboyz renews it’s lease and pays 6 months rent in advance twice a year. This agreement ends this month and speculation favors the probability of lease not being renewed. Without Chinese Female and male tourists, Boyztown (Pattayaland soi 3) is comatose. This info doesn’t include Scandic Massage or A-Bomb Boys club or the two remaining boy bars on Pattayaland soi 1 ( Dream Boys and Xboys). The Chinese tourists favored Boyztown, Pattayaland soi 3 and it was standing room only at Boyzboyzboyz nightly . As it’s very unlikely tourists will return before mid 2021 or later, it’s looking like the ‘fat lady will sing’.

Oops! I got it wrong about the 4 day weekend. There is a music festival in Pattaya, on Friday (tomorrow) and Saturday.

The government has instituted a 4 day weekend to help struggling hotels and other tourist destinations for the domestic market. In Pattaya, many closed hotels will reopen and the beaches will fill up with Thai families. It will be a temporary reprieve but welcome none the less. In years past December was the start of high season, which now seems like a distant memory. There’s a strong possibility that this will be the last month for the bars and hotels in Boyztown. Resurrection possible starting mid 2021..

Some of us forget that pre-Covid, the boy bars were mostly empty unless they had a Chinese following like Boyzboyzboyz and Toy Boys. For many reasons, the older gay farangs have dwindled in Pattaya except in Jomtien Complex..

Last night several of us attended the opening night of Adonis beer bar. It’s managed by the guys from Euro Boys beer bar in Sunee Plaza. They offed free hamburgers which were tasty as well as tasty French fries. Close to Big Kiss boy beer bar. Also opening in the last few days was JoJo boys bar beer. A generous farang was buying drinks and they offer Blue Hawaii cocktails among other exotic drinks. Close to Soda boy massage.

Toys Boys will only open on the weekends.

There are two sexy show boy bars left in Pattaya. Boyzboyzboyz and Xboys are the place for what you seek. Everything variable depending on if there are customers. You can see boys in varying states of undress and rigidity at Nice Boys (not a show bar). Just takes tips! Friday and Saturday nights are most dependable.

Literally half of the USA citizens only care that white men keep the power and keep people of colour disadvantaged. I was recently discussing Columbus on Columbus Day with another farang. When I pointed out what a curse Columbus was, bringing disease, stealing land, enslaving native people, my acquaintance said, what’s the problem, we’re white aren’t we. We have a reprieve now but it’s only temporary and tenuous at best. The struggle continues!

Toy Boys reopened yesterday, Friday November 7th. Only a few clothed boys but nice ambiance and great a/c. The boys were friendly and eager, maybe desparate more accurate and attractive, even clothed.

There was a street party tonight in Boyztown. A couple of singers and some sexy male dancers entertained the mostly Thai audience. There was free Thai food and the entertainment was sponsored by a sex workers right organization. It was loud and most of the audience were employees of the Boyztown bars and clubs. One surprise was the reopening of Toy Boys. I went in and it was delightfully air conditioned. Only a few boys but all were energetic. They were clothed but I remembered several and their gorgeous bodies. I tipped all including the doorman who, I’ve known for years and is a favorite of a good farang friend of mine. It was the a good night in Boyztown. I also ventured over to Pattayaland soi 1. Xboys was fun and had a sexy show. One veteran named Art has returned and has a great body and is in the bigcock show. The boys swarm me as I’m appreciative of their assets and tip. My last stop was Dream Boys with three boys on stage. Each was tipped and they showed their appreciation. It’s hard times for the boys and tips are appreciated.

Back on the topic. Power Boys never reopened and one friend saw the furniture being removed recently.

It’s been reported on another forum that the pool table has been put back. Boy 69 has confused the old Corner Bar, which became Double Shot with Green Bar just a few meters away. Its being reported that Green bar will continue and not close down.

Tonight, Joe, the Thai boss at boyzboyzboyz announced that Boyzboyzboyz would be open every night and at 9pm, there will be a parade of bar boys. The boys were energetic tonight and there was a couple of ladyboys leading the lineup. Serene beer bar reopened tonight and will be open weekends only. Where the customers will come from is unknown and it seems very optimistic. Dream Boys and Xboys had no customers at about 10pm. Spay, a waiter at Panorama said zero customers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Boyztown area has been in severe decline for years before COVID-19. The Chinese tourists kept boyztown afloat, especially Boyzboyzboyz which was filled to capacity most nights. Many older farangs bitched about Chinese women in ‘their’ bars. They are and have always been Boy bars not Gay bars. Without the Chinese women, Boyztown is fading away. Only the return of the Chinese tourists will revive the Boy bar scene. Sunee Plaza is comatose and only Jomtien Complex has a pulse.

I saw a truck loading up some of the furniture the other night. Many referred to Green Bar as Plastic Chairs bar. It featured a large fish in a tank and a pool table.

Euro boys has NOT been a gogo bar for many many years. It’s a beer bar and if it’s feminine gay boys for you, then go to nearby Winner Boys gogo bar. Cheap drinks and comfortable seating. Don’t be surprised to see boys in high heels!

It’s already quite cool in northern Thailand most nights. Still no need for parkas or long johns.

I’ve encountered many older farangs with personality disorders. I’m certain Thais also have personality disorders. There are always signs but some ignore them. I used to say that I trusted first impressions when I met new people. I have ignored negative first impressions and regretted that decision several times in my life. Experience has taught me to trust my first impressions with new farangs as well as new boys. It’s possible the South African farang was an abusive asshole. Not easy to judge without knowing him. Another knife story I heard firsthand from the farang. His bf put a knife to the farangs neck and told him to leave and that he hated the farang. The farang was extremely obnoxious and couldn’t believe his bf hated him and tried to reconcile. This farang was later deported from Thailand for the usual reason, which is not a allowable topic.

Interesting article. Statistically China with a population over one billion people would have about 50 million gay people, assuming 5% is accurate estimation. With many more males than females, there are probably lots of sexually repressed young men and women. With mostly one child families, pressure must be intense..

A couple of nights ago in Sunee Plaza there was a report by several boys about a younger South African gay man. His very hunky bf , 30ish nicknamed Chin, stabbed him in his leg with a knife. The Thai guy is hyper masculine and used to work at New Queens bar beer in Sunee. The Thai guy was frequently on Grindr or hornet, sometimes as a top only and sometimes as versatile. Very indifferent to older farangs (me anyway)and moody but was a regular of the 40ish South African, who took him to South Africa for a while. Now the police are looking for the boy and he has fled Pattaya. I had previously pursued the boy, buying him drinks but his indifference led me to believe he’d been useless in the room. Very unusual for Sunee and he would fit in Moonlight easily. He worked briefly at Boyzboyzboyz and his body was incredible .
