  1. always have some extra cash at the end of my vacation in case Visa denies paying my hotel bill,

and this extra money was earmarked for my friends safety/security/happiness.

he has to return to chiang mai in april for his birthday army lottery.

It's cheaper for me to send him the money (even with all the hassle) than to worry about him all year.

damn I wanted to see his face when he was tipped with american $100 bills

  2. Just before opening all their dancers assemble outside for a flag waving.

It's quite a spectacle and I'll admit it drew me inside for a drink.

The turnover was quite slow, and no one was to my particular tastes

came into view (was watching one in the dark on the side).

Bringing back memories of 1998, I was ready to vote it's status as

    most improved bar in Pattaya.

  3. Hopefully not. No rumpy-pumpy was involved. :shok:

And thankfully as distance and time has lengthened,

his powers over me are dwindling.

He was to report to the army lottery in one month

and I certainly will want to hear he is safe.

Might have to drop some "stuff" pictures off Facebook- lest he think I am rich. :good:

  4. Probably saves me lots of money.

What was extra money at the end of vacation would have been

just handed over to make him smile, would now have to send back from my account/withdrawn.

Each day away leaves me time to recoup my senses away from his powers.

He had just taken me looking at a motorbike in the basement of TukCom.

Gee- my first motorbike. No way I would have bought him a motorbike.

Anyway it was silly looking for a little kid. But I would have been happy to

help him out on his down payment on a bigger (or used) one.

If he has my contact info I can happily await the

'mother sick - need operation'  messages.

  5. "Pattaya Sai 2 Soi 17, Na Kluea, Banglamung Chonburi 20150 THAILAND

    address is approximate"

Not sure if this is enough address

    to get a postcard there.

Pattaya Sai 2 Soi 17, Na Kluea, Banglamung Chonburi 20150 THAILAND

"now I understand  what my grandmother used to say ' one who gives fast , gives twice '

    only twice?

  6. Just spent couple weeks in Pattaya. Arrived on a Sunday night with only 3 boys onstage.

It seemed other guys were called in to dance from the outside and soon a small "contest" ensued.

I kind of liked the music and many of the guys here seemed to have fun most nights.

Unfortunately I made a mistake on my ticket to leave Thailand. Friday 2 am I finally was able to log into my phone app for the airline and found my flight was not taking off Saturday @ 5:30am but

    in 3 1/2 hours!

Was going to give a friend a big tip and my contact information but had to leave immediately

and go to the airport. Bet he was a little disappointed when I did not show up on my final night

as promised. If anyone has a more accurate address for the bar could you post so I could mail to him?

Or if you are in the area and could give him a message?

Actually wondering if they coach their guys on being nice to customers. :)

  7. from the cold to bangkok I find I can only stay maximum 2-3 days there

before the lure of the warm sun and beach towns.

the add the cheaper costs at night in Pattaya with less traffic...

make certain you have plenty of vacation time to adjust (jet lag, etc.) and have fun.

my first trip there was three weeks and crying at the end because I

    didn't want to leave.

I like a day or two to decompress when you do come back home before returning to work.

expect to want to return soon as possible.

  8.  .

I've heard a few complaints from others regarding treatment by the US border service but I've never experienced any of that.  After checking my paperwork, 9 out of 10 times I get a "welcome home."  Once, about 2003 or so, I was treated rather discourteously by some old dude in Detroit but, other than that, I've had no complaints.

I have traveled 12 to TH and only gotten rousted by border service one time,

also in Detroit. I will not purchase another ticket routed through that airport again.

After 28 hours of airplanes and airports,  I don't feel like smiling as they ask

    stupid nosey leading questions.

  9. I might agree only because yesterday I was looking at the GR section, and couldn't find a single one I would have called.

Maybe some look better in person than their pics. One had a couple stunning pics, then a couple later pics. Maybe I can't see what others see through the net and pictures and am most impressed on how he carries himself and interacts.

I search and search to find the "one" I can overpay gladly even in person from bars, and can easily wait until I find him.

  10. Actually Bangkok reminds me lots of Chicago in summertime. But being from the midwest that is the only huge city I really have to compare it to.

I found my first time in TH to be exciting more because I went there alone. Go anywhere, do anything any moment I felt like it.

I think you will have a great time, and the time spent alone is good also for you. Dunno about your phone plan/roaming, but I have a Thai GPS for my iPhone I would like to try out myself this year.

Coming from the cold area of the USA, I would also recommend Pattaya for the sun/beach as well as the bars/boys. Reminds me of Florida weather.

Heck with negotiating, just have fun + fork over a little cash. Budgeting I usually allow ~$150/day with a little exception for the first day or two in BKK, but i get companionship a little infrequently. You should find Pattaya easier to budget as tips/beers are a little less expensive, depending on where you are partying. This is spending money- hotels go on credit card to deal with when I get home. If saunas guys are your thing you will save lots.

With all the hassle of traveling, you would want to plan for more like two weeks there to justify the plane trips. Hotels are really inexpensive and really makes the most of the cost of a plane ticket if you stay longer. Warning- you may be really sad  the days before you have to go back home as your vacation ends. (Read: desperate to change your return date to way later)

Plane ticket prices rise after January for the spring break crowd. I always shoot for departing in mid- February and try to come back when the worst of the winter has passed.

Wish I was closer(3 hours away) to Chicago so you could have a go at interior designing my home :)

(or stage it for sale so I can move).

  11. haha painless. got a quote from place halfway between Big C and Boystown on second road - one laser treatment.

went with usa 1 year ~5 visits - ~3x price but effective. also as many retreatments after 1 year as you can stand.

but if they haven't got it by 5x, give it up.

laser works best  dark coarse hair.

did I mention you will be red and sore for a few days?

    no beach for you.

probably would have tried it but it was the end of my vacation and leaving soon.

they had to bring the laser in from bangkok and it wasn't available untill he next day.

maybe someone has electrolysis experience. laser can treat 1/2" square in a few seconds.
