that would be me, in comparison to Bangkok I consider Pattaya waste of time and money and yet gladly waste both on Pattaya every trip, few days at the time. Don't treat less then thrilling comments about Bali, Kuta and gay scene as discouraging you from going, always best to go and see by yourself. Advantage of Bali over Pattaya is they if you find yourself bored or not happy with gay scene there are are tons of attractions to visit and keep you occupied. It's obvious that not everybody will like everything, there are Pattaya lovers who are spending all their time in the Sunee and those who never bother to go there. The same goes with Bali, it's more to the island than just BaliJoe in Seminyak.

I second what was said above - just go and see in person, most of massage boys can be offed for a cost of 1-1.1/2 he massage fee. If you park yourself in one of the Boyztown hotels you will have 3 massage places literally steps from your door, well stocked with hunky studs. Minimum tips are lower than in Bkk , in 700-800 range for 1 hr course. My favourite places are Narcissus in Pattayaland soi 1 and Royal House beside TukCom but it means nothing as quality of the encounter depends of the boy , not the place and you may find your gem everywhere. Classiest place is Magnolia and quality of the massages was always superb but I had a with bad luck with an attitude from boys so can't swear by the place anymore but it can be me - I like afters to be afters, not a main course when massaged. Offed long time guys from both Magnolia and Scandic in the Boyztown after having great massages with them, in the room both disappointing big time unfortunately but again it could be me, easy prey. Bali no, but Kuta and environs absolutely yes - in my opinion both Pattaya natives and farangs are behaving in comparizon. Hence my advise - go to Ubud inland. Bali is absolutely enchanting place but even most beautiful man needs to take shit from time to time - that's Kuta IMHO Bali was my side trip from Thailand and I decided to be just a tourist leaving whoring part to return. I think I just like Thai scene better. Most gay life is in Kuta / Seminyak area which I positively was not impressed with and was looking to leave ASAP and in Ubud I was occupied with sightseeing. I'm not horny , I just like company of well built men, specially when they are showing they like my company too. LOL
