  1. Hello Travellerdave, I stayed at the Babylon in December in their Bulgari Suites - very nice - big queen size bed with a very nice bathroom and shower. I did not stay in the Barracks - and the expert on the Barracks is Bucknaway over on SGT - as one of the main positives that he likes are the communal showers/bathrooms where he has had some fun encounters. I don't think that I would stay at Babylon again -- as the main negatives for me were: - too far from Silom and Soi Twilight - breakfast is well finished by 11am and often I could not make it from having too much fun the night before. I found this fact VERY annoying that they stopped serving breakfast so early when they are a gay hotel. The things that I liked were: - access to the sauna and pool - I only went 2 times in a 9 day stay - but it was very nice and fun - the gardens around the Bulgari Suites are very lush and pleasant - the staff was nice and helpful - it is an easy way to meet other farangs - if that is your thing - meeting Thai guys was not so easy - as there were not that many around when I was there for Christmas ok Dave enjoy, M.
  2. wow...he is hot and SO sexy.... I am VERY happy for you and thanks for sharing your adventures with us
  3. Hey guys, A friend of mine from France just sent me this link. It is very sexy and entertaining http://www.flixxy.com/towel-comedy-act-by-les-beaux-freres.htm#.UxZQTJ-4jP8.gmbiail It made me think of the more erotic "towel show" at Jupiter in Bangkok. Now if only we can get our lovely Thai boys to create a Thailand version of this show - I am sure that it would be hot!! enjoy, M.
  4. oops, correction required here in Europe - a 2 hand 2 hour massage costs 400 euros - 50 euro per hour for each hand..... which is approximately $550 US dollars so, $90 USD in BKK is a B A R G A I N !!!
  5. here in Europe - a 2 hand 2 hour massage costs 400 euros - 50 euro per hour for each person which is approximately $550 US dollars so, $90 USD in BKK is a B A R G A I N !!!
  6. I was in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and Pattaya for 25 days by myself in December/January and I had one of the best vacations in my entire life and I met MANY wonderful Thai and Falang people in those 25 days. So, don't be afraid to travel alone - it is VERY liberating and fun and you will do more exciting things because you are NOT with your friends who might tend to "cramp your style" - as we say in English - in other words - put a limit on what you might be willing to do if you were alone so, go and enjoy....
  7. Limiting this response to LOS - they were: - a 6 hand massage in Phuket - very difficult to keep control and not cum too quick - but very exciting - often having to choose one of the 3 guys to help me get the selected one off... - bringing back to my room 2 straight guys and getting them off in a slow and sensual way - knowing that they wanted to be in control with me - but I did not let them and I took control of them and I decided when they could cum - I decided that it would be at the same exact time - when one was ready I would slow down to get the other one to be caught up to be held at the same level - they could not stand being synchronized by me - but I managed to do it and it was a VERY hot scene - something to remember forever...
  8. I liked Moses response format - so I will use it for mine (thanks Moses) My turn-off for bars from hi to low: - empty stage (leave immediately) - pushy staff (leave after 5 to 10 minutes) if I cannot get them to stop their undesired behaviour - drink and or service is bad (leave within 2 minutes after the drink arrives) - no cute guys (leave after finishing 1st drink - 15 minutes) - not being able to get the guy that I want down off of the stage sitting next to me (leave in 16-17 minutes) - guy is not into what I am searching for (leave in 18 minutes) - guy does not want to help me select the 2nd guy for us to play together with (leave in 20 minutes) - only applies if I want to off more than 1 guy
  9. Christian's quote got me to check some medical web sites to see if men's cocks do actually shrink with age and I was shocked to discover: http://www.webmd.com/men/guide/life-cycle-of-a-penis --> Partial excerpt - check the web link out to see the entire article <-- "In addition to this apparent shrinkage (which is reversible) the penis tends to undergo an actual (and irreversible) reduction in size. The reduction -- in both length and thickness -- typically isn't dramatic but may be noticeable. "If a man's erect penis is 6 inches long when he is in his 30s, it might be 5 or 5-and-a-half inches when he reaches his 60s or 70s," Goldstein says. What causes the penis to shrink? At least two mechanisms are involved. One is the slow deposit of fatty substances (plaques) inside tiny arteries in the penis, which impairs blood flow to the organ. This process, known as atherosclerosis, is the same one that contributes to blockages inside the coronary arteries -- a leading cause of heart attack."
  10. Hello Xelon, I wrote about an interesting experience that I had at Jupiter in my December 2013 BKK trip report that you might find interesting; www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/9370-trip-report-in-progress-21-dec-bkk/ Below is the quoted section in case you don't want to read the trip report. Have fun - I did!!!! Also, let us hear about your adventure - since we cannot be in Bangkok now - it is great to hear about other peoples adventures. Cheers, M.
  11. Thanks Michael for sharing this great work of art by Justin Heaney. I truly enjoyed it as it brought me right back to LOS as I am already missing it. I copied the below from a quick Google search as I wanted to know other than Bangkok - where were the other places that were shown in the video. As Nirish already stated - I also need to venture out more on my next trip to LOS. Last thing - this type of video brings a NEW standard to preparing "Trip Reports". Mine were hard enough - I could not immagine also trying to prepare a professional type of video like Heaney's in one of my Trip Reports. ================== return results shown below from a quick Google search ============================ THAILAND - "In the Garden of the Dragon" - SHORT Justin Heaney Plus 1 week ago Filmed in and around Bangkok, Pai, Mae Hong Son and the Thailand / Myanmar border region in late July 2013. This edit is an attempt at re-creating the visceral nature of my experience there. vimeo.com/84844989 Justin
  12. Hello Moses, Thanks for sharing this with us. I find it very informative and useful. Plus its nice to know that we don't only have to see the city from our respective local TV stations and that we have another means to see Sochi... Cheers, M.
  13. Hello Vinapu, as you know, I procratinated on writing my the final leg of my trip reports - report #4. As you see I had 2 great romantic moments in Pattaya - that I did not have in BKK, CM, and Samui - so it was hard to close my trip report series - because in a way I am putting closure on these wonderful moments. now to answer your question. If you are looking for sex and the go-go boy scene then I would chose BKK. If you want sex and the go-go boy scene and a great beach - then I would forget BKK and go directly to Pattaya If you are in love and traveling with your partner - I would only go to Samui If you don't care about the go-go boy scene and the beach - then I would go to CM - as it has a nice balanced mix of culture, adventure and nature. Now Vinapu - I have a question for you - where are you going to go when you retire?
  14. thanks for the compliment I agree - two rainbow flags marking the upper and lower limits would be a great help - especially for newbies like me
  15. This is the last segment of my 25 wonderful days in Thailand. 09 January – 14 January 2014 Trip Report to Pattaya Thursday 09 January – Arrive in Pattaya - went to BoyzTown Flew to UTP - Pattaya – Utapao from USM - Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways departing at 11:10am and arriving at 12:25pm, costing 5,210 bahts – not bad for a 1hour 15 minute flight. Arriving at the U-Tapao-Pattaya International Airport was a strange feeling as it has the look and feel of a military airport. In fact, it is a joint civil-military airport housing the Royal Thai Navy Airfield. Interestingly, U-Tapao was an ex-military base for the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War years. The airport is about 45 minutes away from BoyzTown in downtown Pattaya. Taxis were scarce so I had to share a van with 8 other single guys that looked like they were from Russia and/or some Arab countries. As they were very heterosexual, it was good that I was the last stop, as I would not have been able to imagine the look on their faces had we entered BoyzTown as the first stop. Hehehehe. Checked into The Ambiance hotel (at the recommendation of Anonone and many others from this forum). It was recommended for me since I am a “first timer” in Pattaya and the hotel is right in the middle of BoyzTown right next to Boyz, Boyz, Boyz. Well after unpacking and then going to the nearby Family Mart to stock up the room fridge, I headed out to check the BoyzTown street and right away I was swooped up by the sexy Alex barman from Boyz, Boyz, Boyz. He asked me to sit for a drink outside the go-go boy bar and then he asked me if I wanted to off him. Of course I said yes and within 20 minutes from exiting the hotel to hitting the street, we were back in the hotel having great sex. Simply amazing, as this is an all-time record for me – in quickness in getting someone in my bed. Alex left after given the white envelope and then I took a shower and dressed for the night out and ate at the Boat Bakery just around the corner on Pattaya Second Road, for some quick, cheap and fairly good Thai food, where I watched all of the Russians on the busy street – quite entertaining. I had never seen such a huge concentration of Russians before. Went back to Boyz, Boyz, Boyz and I was again greeted by Alex who then took me inside the go-go bar to get a good close seat to see the show. The show was very good and I was impressed. The best scene was when the breakdance group of young Thai college students performed some amazing feats on the stage. They had an incredible amount of talent and were very sexy to watch. I asked my designated bar man if any were off-able and he said no. The rest of the show was similar to the ones that I saw in the BKK go-go boy bars. Show ended and I decided to call it a night. Friday 10 January – Went to Jomtien Dongtan beach, Boyz Gym massage, and Vassa Bar. I wanted to check out the famous Dongtan beach so I took the 15 minute trip there by mocy. Being the first time I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised because I liked the proximity to Boyztown and the fact that it is much less urban in Jomtien. You really feel that you have left the congested Pattaya as you are surrounded by a nice beach on the waterfront with lounge chairs and umbrellas and behind them are giant palm and coconut trees which create a big refuge where people are laying down on blankets getting massages or just relaxing in the shade. In the shaded area are bars that offer refreshments and lunch. In addition, there are vendors selling their wares as well as massage guys circulating around offering massages and guys offering pedicures/manicures. All of the conveniences are brought to you. The bar guys at the gay beach are very sexy and competitive (in the sense that they would say, “stay here with us” or “come here”) – which made it difficult to know where to stay. Obviously the gay rainbow flag helped – but they were already soliciting way before I reached the gay flag. There were pockets of Russian families around interspersed with small groups of gays – some Russian, some European and some Asian. Also, later in the afternoon, some Thai guys started milling around trying to find company – but always more in the shaded area. I took a swim and I can say that the water was mostly clean and definitely cleaner then the Roman beach where I go in the summer back in Italy. The hardest dilemma is to decide to keep the umbrella open or closed – as the sun would be too intense and then it would be time to open the umbrella again. I was making the bar guys crazy with my constant requests to open and close. In Koh Samui, since there was so much free space you could always keep your umbrella open and sit in the lounge chair underneath protected from the sun or put your beach towel out on the free space in the sand to get the sun when you wanted without having to disturb the bar guys. Dongtan is too crowded – as there is NO free space to do this so instead you need to constantly open and close the umbrella. I met a great guy from Israel (who formerly lived in Russia) who was sitting near me who was quite sexy and very talkative. Several sexy massage guys would stop by and sit on his lounge chair and try to convince him to order their services and when he would say no, they would try to caress his ever growing package in his swimsuit. It was very erotic and he was slightly embarrassed (because I was there) but at the same time I believe that he liked all of the attention and I think that he wanted to show off his tool in a discrete way. He helped me to understand how things work at Dongtan – as it is quite discreet and you need to figure out their subtleties. The Israeli guy left for the Sansuk Sauna – http://www.sansukpattaya.com/ - as he told me that he was now horny and wanted some Russian cock. He said that Sansuk was a great place to meet and fuck with horny Russians. I wished him luck and told him that I had Thai meat on my menu instead of Russian meat. On leaving the Dongtan beach I decided to take a walk away from Jomtien and instead towards Pattaya on the sidewalk that is between the coconut tree shade and the beautiful View Talay Condo complex. It was beautiful, as the sun was starting to set. As you might remember from my prior Trip Reports, one of the scopes of this trip was to see where I would want to live in Thailand when I will eventually retire and I can say that I believe that it will perhaps be here. I liked the access to the gay beach, which is surrounded by other gay establishments, the proximity to both the nearby Jomtien complex with many more gay businesses, the proximity to South Pattaya (Boyz Town and Sunee). But most important to me was the feeling of nature and the greenness of the surrounding area. Too much concrete and urban congestion gets on my nerves – so, Dongtan seems to be a nice compromise. è It you live here in Jomtien – please comment on what it’s like to live here as opposed to living in Pattaya, or Bangkok or anywhere else in Thailand. It will help me to plan for the future. <-- At the end of the sidewalk, I took a mocy back to BoyzTown for an after beach nap in my hotel room. Woke up somewhat horny and looked on Jack’d and I saw one of the massage boys (Krit – 27 years old) who was sitting outside from The Boyz Sauna Gym http://www.boyzgym.com/ which is connected to The Alliance massage shop was writing to me to see if I wanted a massage. I said yes and within 5 minutes he was up in my hotel room. How convenient. He gave me a great 1.5 hour massage – ok, that part was only 45 minutes and the rest was hot sexual pleasure. We both came and appeared to be satisfied. I was. Paid the 1,000 baht tip to him and the rest went on the hotel bill – another convenience. Showered, off to dinner, and after dinner, off to The Vassa Bar to see their famous towel night (since so many from this forum have written about Vassa I had to check it out). It was 10pm when I arrived and it was packed – which isn’t saying much, as the bar is tiny and there are only 2 rows of seats for the customers, where the first row is perhaps only 1 meter from the stage. The only seat available was right in the front row and I took it. I was immediately uncomfortable as the boys were so young and right in my face. Now being in my 21st day of my 25 day trip in Thailand I had never seen such young and emaciated boys in the other go-go bars. I never had this kind of reaction. I tried to calm myself down with a stiff drink and watched the boys in their towels. There was only one boy I liked and I took an immediate liking to him – he was shy and dancing in the back row on the stage. He also had the longest towel on and was the oldest boy there and least emaciated – he had some meat on his bones. I asked the mamasaan if he could sit with me and he was SO happy to get off the stage. The mamasaan told me that his name is Khong and he is from Laos. Unfortunately he could not speak English so the lovely mamasaan was kind enough to sit with me when she could to help me to have a conversation with Khong. After a while the bar emptied out and I noticed an immediate transformation in the bar. The mamasaan asked me to move in the back row to be more comfortable with Khong and immediately I was much more relaxed. At this point it was only me with the boys. So, still being a little uncomfortable, I decided to have my second Anonone moment and I ordered drinks and a bottle of whiskey for everyone, including the mamasaan, the barker guy outside and even the person working in the back who was fully dressed but perhaps doing some bookkeeping. Most of the boys came off the stage (as I was the only customer) and they surrounded me and we drank together and they began to play a game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” Thai style, where the loser had to drink a shot of whiskey. The guy with the name, “Boy” was losing the most and kept saying to me, “please drink for me” and I said NO – I need to perform tonight for Khong. Every once and a while a customer would come in and the boys had to stop partying with me and run back up on the stage until they were either offed or the customer left. These transformational moments were like scenes from “The Simpsons” – I truly had a blast once I got over my adverse reaction when I first arrived. Reflecting on why I had that reaction – I think it was because I had reached my limit on the youth thing in a go-go boy bar and I felt like I was in an orphanage and I wanted to save all of the boys from their fate. Alcohol, Khong, and the “Rock, Paper, Scissors” game with the boys got my mind off those bad thoughts that I had. Around 1am, I took Khong back to The Ambiance for a short off. I think that I paid, 800 to the mamasaan? Back at the hotel 27 year old Khong was great. I found out that he had only started at Vassa 2 days prior and that I was the first customer to off him. When we weren’t kissing and cuddling, we were using my iPad to communicate from Thai/Laos to English once we found the right digital keyboard. We had great sex and after a great shower together, I asked him to leave, as I don’t sleep well with someone that I do not know well. I gave him a 1,500 tip – as he was so much my type physically and sexually. Saturday 11 January – Went to Tukcom IT Center, Magnolia Spa, Walking Street and Sunee Plaza Tukcom is located at 8 Moo 10, Pattaya Tai (South Road) – which is a smaller version of the big electronics mall MBK in Bangkok. It is about a 15 to 20 minute leisurely walk from BoyzTown. As you may have remembered from my Koh Samui trip report, my smartphone fell in the salt water and I was desperate to buy a new Samsung Galaxy to replace the old one. I saw on the www.thaivisa.com forum that the Ice Mobile phone stall in TukCom came highly recommended. So I went right there and the guy was great as he took apart my old smart phone and showed me how the salt water had short circuited my old phone and corroded everything. We then decided on the Samsung Galaxy S4 (the old one was an S3) and the price was reasonable, 18,300 baht (407 euro) because back in Italy the same phone costs 499 euros. He installed everything and even cut to size the old Italian SIM from large to small and gave me a shell frame so that I can use the SIM on old model phones as well as the new small SIM models. He must have spent 2 hours with me – an excellent guy and service. It was too late to go to the beach at Jomtien, so I instead took a taxi to the Magnolia Spa. The manager sat with me in the lobby and I looked at a picture book and he indicated to me who was available and from the selection I chose Mo for a 90 minute 2 hand massage in their VIP room. Mo is a sexy masculine Cambodian masseur who is 25 years old. Mo gave me a nice strong and sensual massage for the first 55 minutes. Then for the remaining time he tried to get me off fast, but I slowed him down telling him that we had plenty of time and that there was no rush. I found out that he was rushing because he did not want me to fondle with him much and he made it clear that he did not want to get off. So, I made him edge me a couple of times and when the moment was right I let him bring me over the edge. He disappeared downstairs and I took a shower and cleaned myself up and headed back downstairs and paid the 850 to Magnolia and I gave Mo 1,000. He would have gotten more if he had not been so cold about letting me play with him. Perhaps he was straight or I was not his type ?? The Magnolia Spa is in a big 2 floor villa and the rooms are very big and nice and clean. I would definitely go back – but I would most likely avoid Mo – as I prefer my massage guys to be more into playing around once the serious part of the massage is finished. Took a taxi back to the hotel for a nap. Then later on I headed out to see the famous Pattaya “Walking Street” – the most intense and explicit Walking street that I have seen in ALL of my Thailand journey. Most of the many touri towns in Thailand have a Walking street. Pattaya’s is unique in that sex is thrown into your face. It is very exciting to walk around to see with your own eyes what women can do for entertainment. There is even Muay Thai boxing matches in public display. I found myself staring in too much amazement that one of the Muay boxers was yelling at me to come near the boxing ring from off the street – I was too shy – he was SO hot. I do not know what he wanted but it sure does make for some great mental fantasies when home alone in bed. I did not see any gay bars or go-go bars for us – as this would have sure been nice to be mixed in the middle of this intense sexual hotbed of activity. Took some photos of the famous illuminated Pattaya neon sign that reminds me of the Hollywood one in California. I tried to walk to Sunee Plaza from the Walking Street – but in my typical fashion I got lost – even with my smartphone GPS as I found myself in front of a big highway in front of a big hill. A mocy driver came to my rescue and took me there within 10 minutes. Sunee Plaza was SO different then BoyzTown – BoyzTown is loud and lively and full of lights – where I found Sunee quiet and sedate with not that many lights. It had the look of something fun and exciting left over from the 1970s – with that style of architecture. I was starving so I ate in a small Thai eatery where I was the only customer – but the husband and wife cooked for me a great PadThai meal. This place was interesting as it had a bed mattress with a tv in front of it and my table to eat was across from it. I imagined that this husband and wife most likely slept there once they shut down serving food and closed the place. Afterwards I walked around Sunee which is MUCH bigger than BoyzTown with many more places – except it was not so busy. I ended up in the “Nice Boys” go-go boy bar. The guys in this place are a bit rough and masculine. They reminded me of the guys from the Uniman Spa in Bangkok. They were doing their 2 feet lame shuffle but they were also doing that macho “I am a man” thing with each other trying to push each other down into the sheep position. It was entertaining. I asked the mamasaan to ask Tom (22 from Isaan) to come and sit with me. We had a drink and spoke for a while and I told him that I wanted to go back to the hotel with 2 guys. At first he got weird and said, “I man” and I replied that “I am also man”. He gave me a strange look and I said, chuck-wow – then he smiled – ok. So, I said help me find another man so we can make a chuck-wow party. He chose Boap – 21 from Chiang Mai. I bought Boap a drink and then the “boss” of the Nice Boys place walked in with some food and my two boys went crazy for some of it. Then I remembered what some of you said from this board – so I told the 2 guys – we go and get food before returning to my hotel. They became real happy. So, they put on their street clothes and we left after I paid the off-fees (400 each ?) and for the drinks. We walked back from Sunee Plaza to BoyzTown – it was not that far – once you know where you are going and they stopped in 7-Eleven – I offered something better – but they wanted 7-Eleven and they picked out all kinds of fast food and had them nuked in the microwave and put some toppings on them and started their eating frenzy. Back at the hotel, I ate 1 little hot dog with them to make them happy – I was not hungry but it was a good bonding experience before we started the chuck-wow party. They were shy to jerk off in front of each other so I put myself in-between them and I let them jerk me off – alternating of course as it was “too gay” for them to touch my cock at the same time – how hetero of them and I jerked them off. Tom came first then me and then Boap who had to finish himself off as he needed some straight porn in order for him to reach orgasm. Everyone satisfied, we took separate showers and then they left after I gave them 1,500 each – I know I spoiled them – but they were SO much fun – as I love to make hetero guys do gay things – it is a big turn on for me. Sunday 12 January – Went back to the Jotmein – Dongtan beach Every morning breakfast in the great Ambiance hotel restaurant out on the terrace watching the movement of boys leaving the various hotels from their long time offs and watching the massage boys from the Boyz Gym massage place. Being another nice day in paradise, I decided to go back to Dongtan beach. This time instead of taking the mocy for 100 baht, I took the Baht bus (‘ rot song taew ') to the beach – just a 5 minute walk to the nearest station on Pattaya Second Road from BoyzTown. The fare is very reasonable, just 10 baht. Went to the gay beach again and picked a seat in the front row closest to the water. At first, no open umbrella as the sun was not yet scorching. Took a nice iced coffee and relaxed and watched the nearby scenery. Like the other day, many Russian families interspersed with the gays. Many farang – Thai couples and some singles like me. Did some swimming and socialized with some of the nearby ex-pat farangs with my incessant questions about what it is like to live in LOS. Got lots of great ideas and met some people who live in the nearby View Talay Condo complex as they shared with me the interesting hurdles that us farangs must go through to “own” property in Thailand (basically you lease it until you die). They all seemed happy and did not have many regrets. Then there was a debate on whether to live the full 12 months in Thailand or to do the back-and-forth trip home (USA or Europe). Many of them could not stand the hot wet months (March through July) and evacuated Thailand. Something for me to think about as I had imagined to abandon Europe all together when I would retire to cut expenses. There is always mom back in New York, but 5 months with mom may make me crazy. So, I concluded that in the first year(s) I could rent to see where in Thailand I would want to call home. Perhaps it could be both Pattaya and Chiang Mai – going to Chiang Mai in the more intolerable Pattaya months?? Around 16:30 I called it quits and I went to explore the Jomtein Complex hoping to try the Derby massage place that Vinapu wrote about in his trip report. Unfortunately it was closed and many of the other places were empty. I stopped at Vinegar (www.swimwearthailand.com/catalog.php) to buy a new pair of swim trunks. It is a very nice gay store where they make the products right there in the shop. So, I then walked over to the Bamboo Bar (410/35 Thrappraya Rd at Beach Rd Jomtien), small host bar on main road to the beach, afternoon crowd, older guys on offer. Immediately the owner sent over a “boy” to sit with me and have a drink. I bought him a drink but he was not my type, as he was too feminine. We had a nice conversation about what it is like to work there. I saw some guests going upstairs and he explained to me that short term rooms could be had for some quick fun. I declined his offer and said that I had to go back to Pattaya. There were 1 or 2 guys who were my type but I did not know how to meet them as the owner was putting pressure on my boy to stay with me with his eagle stair on the boy. After my drink and the boys drink I excused myself and got on a Baht bus back to Pattaya – as the main Jomtien Baht bus stop is outside of the Bamboo Bar in the big plaza. Traffic was a nightmare – so after a while I jumped off the Baht Bus and paid the 10 baht and just walked the rest of the way back to BoyzTown. Took a nap and then walked over to Pattayaland Soi 1 to eat some good Italian food – Firecat had written about it and I was interested. Both the food and service was very good. Went over to check out A-Bomb – but when I opened the door to look inside, there were NO customers. I did the same at X-Boys and Wild West Boys – and there was not much going on to my liking – it must have been my timing. It was already 11;30pm. So, I headed to Boyz, Boyz, Boyz and it was packed and I saw the tail end of the prior show and I waited for the next show to start up. It was pretty much the same as the first night and the break-dance boys performed again – they are my favorite. They are VERY hot. I pushed my assigned bar boy to help me off one and we had to involve the manager for the night and he asked some of them but they ALL said NO. I had the feeling that they could be offed if they could be separated from each other – it’s that macho thing. The manager told me that they were “man” and I said, “no problem” – we could chuck-wow. He suggested that I follow the break-dance gang to Nab and/or Dave where they would make further performances and perhaps at the end of the night they would become offable. I declined his offer to spend my night chasing them – as I was already too tired. So, I asked my bar boy if he could push with the manager if the fire eating performer was offable – I had already been declined on the first night and the manager told me that he had to perform in other clubs and if I wanted him that I would have to follow him for the rest of the night. So I declined and just enjoyed the company around me – there was a girl from Laos sitting with 3 of her girl friends and she wanted to help me choose the guys up on the stage. Even one hot guy very hetero jumped down from the stage because he wanted to perform privately for the Laos girl. When she told him that we were shopping for me and not her – he ran back up on the stage. It was a LOT of fun. The Laos girl asked me to go dancing with them afterwards – but I declined. They left and my bar guy tried to get me to off him. He was very nice but after being rejected by the hip-hop rap dancers and then the fire-eater I was ready to call it a night. So, went back to my room in The Ambiance and checked out Jack’d and a hot guy from Singapore, Jay, text me to see if I wanted to play with him tomorrow. I said yes and then I wanked (fantasizing about the rap dancers and this new guy Jay) and then fell sleep. Monday 13 January – Jack’d visitor Jay, walking around Pattaya and last night at Vassa Ate breakfast and at 11am Jay (age 24) who was staying with a friend at the Baan Souy near Jomtien met me in front of the Boyz, Boyz, Boyz go-go bar and I found him hot and we went back to my room to have sex. We were VERY compatible and we had a great time. I had to slow down to not make him cum too fast as I am older and it took me a while to catch up to him and then we synchronized for a great intense mutual orgasm. Unfortunately, Jay was flying back to Singapore later in the late afternoon. He is ½ Chinese and ½ Malaysian and very sexy. He hunted me and our meeting was not about $money$ - it was great for my ego. In Thailand the majority of my encounters have been for $payment$ as I have been lazy to go through all the necessary motions to try to hunt my desired prey. For me, I like the payment idea because I can order what I want and state before anything happens what I want to do with the guy. It puts me in control and there is much less rejection. Hunting in the more traditional way is much harder because of my age and the fact that this way can deteriorate quickly when you start talking about the menu of activities. Since vacation time is precious, I prefer the payment mode – as it saves time and allows you to get what you want. However, with Jay – he was a surprise out of the blue and I really clicked with him. After we finished sex we took a shower and had a nice long walk on the beach road towards North Pattaya. It was great and very romantic. Then reality struck and he had to run off to go check out of his hotel and to run off to the airport in Bangkok for his flight back to Singapore. What is great about Jay, is that we are still in touch via Line – at least 3 to 4 times a week and it is now the first week of February 2014. Jay is going for his PhD and will soon interview at Yale back in the USA to be accepted into their program. Either way, he is a 6 hours’ time difference from me, whether he is in Singapore or New Haven, Connecticut. I became sad after Jay left, so I made a BIG walk around Pattaya observing all of the many sights. Ate dinner later in the evening and decided that my last night in Pattaya should be at Vassa – I wanted to see how Khong was doing to say good-bye to him. He was there when I walked in and there was a seat in the back of the bar ready for me. Everyone was SO happy to see me – especially Khong – I asked the happy mamasaan to bring Khong down from the stage to sit with me and we immediately got affectionate. There were not many customers so the other boys immediately came and sat with us and right away I had my 3rd Anonone moment and I bought everyone a drink and the famous bottle of whiskey and ice and coke. They started playing “Rock, Paper, Scissors” and dancing and being crazy. It was a LOT of fun and a great way to end my 25 days in Thailand. I was less weird this time in Vassa – however, I noticed that there was one very emaciated boy on the stage who was constantly shaking. I told the mamasaan to get him off the stage and to put a towel on him and to get him some food. They did all of this – of course I paid – and in this way I was more tranquil as I did not see anyone suffering. I could see that it was a VERY slow night so I gave the mamasaan 1,200 baht and told her to separate it into 100 baht each and to make sure that everyone got 100 baht each – even the barker outside and the boy shaking under the towel. I offed Khong for a long-off and promised the mamasaan that Khong would be back freed by me at 19:30 the next evening as that was when the taxi-van would come to bring me on the dreaded trip back to the BKK airport. I was watching the news everyday and for very selfish reasons I was secretly hoping that the protesters would close the airport – but it did not happen – so I had to come back down to reality. Once out of Vassa, I asked Khong if we could take a nice romantic walk on the Beach Road along the seaside. Of course he did not understand me – as he speaks almost 0 English – but I pulled his hand towards the beach and we walked along the water. Unfortunately, I wanted us to sit down – but there were too many rats climbing down from the trees and scurrying along the sand looking for food. So we moved off of the beach, as the rats ruined the romantic moment that I had in my head, and we walked along the Beach Road – but then the Lady Boys started getting aggressive with us and other potential customers nearby. So again, that romantic moment was ruined – so back to the hotel where we made some very passionate sex. This time I was VERY happy to sleep with Khong – because now I knew him and I knew that I would be able to sleep. We cuddled all the night and it was a great sleep. Tuesday 14 January – Last day in Pattaya, Jomtien-Dongtan beach, trip back to the BKK airport Woke up in the morning happy to see Khong next to me. I rumbled for an extra pair of swim trunks and I packed the backpack so after breakfast we could have a nice day at the Jomtien-Dongtan beach. We took 2 different mocys (no Baht Bus as this was my last day and I wanted to maximize it with quality time) and we met back at the beginning of the walkway to Dongtan. We went to the gay beach where the bar guys made a BIG fuss over us – as if we just got married – and put us in the 2nd to front row (Thais/Laos boys don’t like too much sun) with Khong’s umbrella up and mine down. Then we ordered our drinks and had our first swim together. It was great. Soon after Khong feel asleep and I took photos of my sleeping angel and went swimming while my 27 year old baby slept. The Russians were funny when we came out of the water later in the afternoon as we were being quite romantic. Who cares I thought – this is my last day in paradise and this is the gay beach. At the end of the afternoon I took Khong for the walk on the romantic sidewalk towards the end-point towards Pattaya and made him understand that I want to live in one of those lovely condos one day. Not sure if he understood but he was happy. Two mocys back to The Ambiance for our last shower together and last hours together. We made love again, for the last time and we cried knowing the end was near. At 7pm, we transferred the luggage downstairs to The Ambiance bar street-side terrace and for the last 30 minutes we cried like 2 lovers. I think the entire BoyzTown street knew – because when the taxi-van arrived I loaded the luggage and Khong kissed me and ran down the Soi and with a look of horror turned around to make his last look back at me in the taxi-van and I cried from Pattaya all the way to the BKK airport. It was so ugly and I did not want to remember his face like that. Taxi-van time was 1.5 hours from Pattaya back to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. There was NO traffic and no protesters to be seen. So, by 9pm I was in the airport ready for my 0:01 flight back to Rome. The airport was packed but I had plenty of time to check-in, clear security and immigration and to have a dinner and to buy a box of tissues for the 11 hour flight back to Rome. This concludes my wonderful 25 day trip in Thailand. I hope that it was not too boring of a read – but it felt so good to put all of these experiences and thoughts down in this blog. My hope is that some of my great experiences can also become yours – especially those who are new to this blog board. Post-factum – I can say that I am in regular contact via Line (the Asian answer to our Whatsapp) with both Jay and Khong. Khong has mentioned to me that he has left Vassa and is returning to his mother in Laos. But he told me that he will come back to Thailand to find some work in the future. So, maybe you will see him at Vassa one day. Treat him well – as he is a wonderful young man.
  16. it's coming Vinapu I started it last weekend - it is not easy to write it because of competing demands to study Spanish. Also, writing the Pattaya trip report brings to closure my wonderful 25 day trip in LOS and psychologically I am not yet ready to close - as the memories and joys are still too fresh.
  17. wow Firecat - you have a bright new future as a porno director....
  18. Hello Buckbee, If it were me - I would not ask him anymore if he loves you. The constant asking him might push him away. Let him decide when and if he wants to tell you he loves you. When I was younger, and I felt in love with someone - I would tell them and then immediately expect that they told me that they loved me. This was very unfair of me (and was because I was insecure and needed to hear that he loves me to confirm that my love for him was real). After many times of asking him, he would cease to see me. Often I found out because he did not like the constant stress of having to say, "Yes, I love you". If your inner peace will not stay calm until you hear those words from him - you most likely will destroy this new love story that is just being born. give it time to blossom - and let him tell you when the feeling is right. Regarding Love - we all have different speeds to fall in love - sometimes it is fast, sometimes it is slow. This is the beauty of dating someone new - the adventure. good luck and just enjoy his company and give him space to fall in love with you... m.
  19. hello Firecat, I am glad to hear that you are back in service. I was worried about you. You are one of my guiding lights. Welcome back and keep on enjoying and sharing with us. I've written all of my Trip Reports - except for the Pattaya one which I will probably do next weekend - since I spent a good chunk of yesterday putting together the Koh Samui one. Cheers, M.
  20. Wow Xiluzer, your trip report was so enjoyable and exciting to read. Compliments. You wrote, "the ending will always lead to a new beginning", which is often true. On my recently concluded BKK trip, I had an awful beginning because I was madly in search of Noom, the character from the www.bangkokbois-gay-thailand-blog.com from the section called, "I fell in love with a bar boy". I had been reading that blog for 1 year and the highlight of the beginning of my December BKK trip was to meet and off Noom. I even corresponded with Rush (the author of that blog) some months back about wanting to meet Noom. Wouldn't you know it, Noom was no where to be found. He no longer worked at the go-go bar Hotmale as reported in the bangkokbois blog. He now worked in Zeus. Zeus told me that he had go home and would not be available during my time in BKK. You don't know how pissed off I was. Rush's blog is excellently written and he has a great talent of drawing you into his love life with Noom - so I was hooked from his Blog and I wanted so bad to pass from the virtual reality world into the reality world of being in bed with Noom. But it was all shattered in the first days of my 25 day trip in LOS. Eventually I got over it and I concluded my 25 LOS trip with the following thought in my mind, "the beginning will always lead to a new ending", from bad to good in my case. I was fortunate to salvage my trip that I waited so long to realize. And so did you - you didn't get the ending that you wanted - but imagine the next time that you come to LOS - you will have a mystery to solve, about Anne and then about your desires (if any will remain) for Mr. P.
  21. 04 January – 09 January 2014 Trip Report to Koh Samui Flew Bangkok Airways from CNG Chiang Mai to USM Koh Samui on the flight earlier than the one I had booked, because when I arrived at the airport they said, “the 12:50 flight is boarding now and there are some empty seats – you will need to hurry – but no meal for you as we already furnished the aircraft with all of the accounted for meals” – I said, yes, since it meant that I could get to Koh Samui by 14:35 instead of 15:40 – as they told me that flight would be late. So, I sacrificed a meal, even though I paid the expensive 7,290 bahts for the 1-way ticket to obtain the privilege to be on the beach before sunset. When the meals were being handed out I acted dumb when they tried to give me one, but they quickly returned to take it back and said, “Sir, you can’t have a meal” – all of the other passengers looked at me as if I was a convict – as they could not understand why the Bangkok Airways staff would say that to me. Prior to boarding I had purchased a modest sandwich and I was content to eat that. After flying for 1 hour 45 minutes, arriving to the Koh Samui International Airport is quite a pleasant surprise because the first impact is the beauty of the island, the fact that the airport is all outside – an open air bus (that looks like a ride from Disneyland) picks you up from the aircraft and transports you to the open air arrivals terminal. It reminded me of one of my trips to one of the Hawaiian Islands where it had a similar look – tropical paradise – the sun was bright and it was hot and humid – a big change from the climate of Chiang Mai which was cooler and much less humid. Took a taxi to the AKWA Guesthouse in South Chaweng Beach. I chose the AKWA because it is “gay-friendly” and I read that the Dutch owner, Martin is very friendly and the rates are reasonably priced – which is important considering that Koh Samui is oriented towards resorts and the more wealthy tourists. I was shown to my penthouse room up on the 3rd floor which had a nice view of the street in front of the guesthouse facing towards the Poppies Resort which is on the beach. The outdoor terrace is very big with 2 lounge chairs, 2 normal chairs, and a small table and the most interesting thing are the two small ‘Ganesh’ shrines on the terrace in the corner with some food offerings to the spirits to protect the guesthouse from harm. Obviously, I never disturbed these 2 important objects as I also wanted to be protected from harm as well. Unpacked my bags and headed out for the “gay beach”. Most of the guides indicate that it is in front of the Trade Winds hotel. I walked the entire length of the Chaweng beach area and never found it. I will have to investigate by asking around later at the bars. So, I made my own gay beach at the Billy SeaBeach and swam and then ate some food. Note that the service at this bar/café on the beach is extremely slow – food was good – but only go if you have time to waste. Back to guesthouse, relaxed, showered and headed out to the busy Chaweng Beach Road to check out good places to eat and to see where the gay places were. Unlike Chiang Mai, I was located much closer to the gay places which were 15 minutes away by foot. The trick to find the 4 or 5 gay places is to first find the Solo bar and/or Terminal restaurant on the main Chaweng Beach Road (opposite side from the famous ARK bar) and go down this soi towards the Chaweng Stadium where there is Muay Thai boxing. This soi is shaped like a horse-shoe (U-turn) and on the left side of the U-turn are the Pride Bar and G-Spot bars and then on the other side are the K-Club and Gay Point bars. I made the below map for all of you as it makes things much easier to find and understand. I discovered that there is so much competition between most of the gay venues in Koh Samui that this prevents a unified picture of what is going on as many of the businesses are NOT united towards a collective “gay marketing” approach to doing business and instead they are fragmented, which makes it hard for us tourists to understand what is going on. My first stop was at the Gay Point (166/25 Moo 2, Chaweng Road) on Saturday 04 January, and we were 5 farangs and there were 2 Thai customers. Then there were Jay (the fun manager) and the ladyboy bartender who kept serving up drinks to us all night long. For every drink that you ordered Jay or LB would accompany it with random shots. In the beginning things were quiet but after the booze was flowing and after a few shots, us farangs were then buying the other unknown guests rounds of shots. I spoke to a nice couple from Germany next to me and another farang from the USA. I am not much of a drinker, and after a couple of hours I had to leave as I could feel I was going to get sick from being super intoxicated. So, Gay Point is a fun place and it is thanks to Jay and LB for breaking the hard ice that us farangs sometimes create and then it was great. Well worth visiting. Sunday, 05 January I ate a great breakfast in the AKWA guesthouse down in the bar area – the breakfast is not included in the room rate – but that is ok with me because the breakfast is served all day and that is what I prefer instead of having a “free” breakfast where the hotel dictates to you when you need to eat it. AKWA has a large and complete breakfast menu and is similar to the wonderful “Butter is Better” place that I reviewed in my Chiang Mai trip report. Then I headed off to the beach looking again for the “gay beach”, in the area around the Trade Winds hotel, but no luck. From the prior night adventure many of the locals told me that Koh Samui does not have enough of an established local gay community to maintain a gay beach. In addition, since Koh Samui is oriented towards resorts and “people in love” and all of that romantic stuff – it does not attract much of a gay tourism and consequently it is a struggle for the island gay businesses to keep their doors open. In addition, it is hard for us tourists to meet the locals as most Thais are from elsewhere (Isaan) and unemployment is very low so everyone is busy working and even the gay venues have difficulties maintaining gay staff as they are often being stolen away by the other gay businesses who are competing for the same limited number of gay human resources. So, I created my own gay beach in front of the construction area (of the new OZ complex), as it is sandy and free of the resort chairs and I sometimes like to lay down on a towel directly on the beautiful sand and just tan, and swim. There was much eye candy around, but not many single guys as they were mostly hooked up in couples or groups. But the nature scenery is breathtaking with large coconut trees, white sand, and crystal clear blue water. Back to the guesthouse and then I went to search for the ThaiBoy Men Spa, (21/138 Moo 3 Bophut (Chaweng) Samui). It is not on the main Chaweng Beach road but more inland. The key to find it is to search for the Walking street and to walk to the end of it (it is short) and then you will be near the Petchbuncha Muay Thai boxing stadium. After the stadium is the Laem Din market and then more ahead on the same main road on the left you will see the CS Hotel and the ThaiBoy Men Spa. Perhaps 10 minutes from the main beach road by foot. I met Tom, the Swiss owner and right away we hit it off. He is great fun and a very informative guy. If you want to know all about the inner workings of the gay businesses on Koh Samui, he is the man to ask. I ordered a 90 minute Aloe Vera massage with Non (I would guess that he was about 27 years old) a nice gay guy who is a dancer at the Starz Cabaret place. He has very sexy muscular dancer legs and he gives a nice massage – although it is more on the sensual side instead of the harder stronger massages that I prefer. The “happy ending” was good and sensual like the massage. Showered and then Non had to run off to work as a Starz dancer. I then hung out with Tom and had a great long conversation about what is it like for an ex-pat from Switzerland to live on Koh Samui – he gave me the inside scoop on what it is like to live there, have romance, and to conduct gay business on the island. I paid 900 baht to the Spa for the massage and 1,500 to Non. Then I asked Tom if he could organize a full day tour of Samui for me on Tuesday 7 January. I believe that he quoted me 3,000 baht for the day plus incidentals. Being tired after the massage I only went out to eat and called it a night. Monday 6 January, again I searched for the “gay beach” and no luck again, so I walked down to the “Monkey Beach”, a place that I noticed and liked. They have excellent quick waiter service and great wi-fi. Also, it is near the OZ resort construction site where I liked swimming and taking in the sun. No gays in sight but some pockets of nice eye candy. After a day at the beach I searched for the Mekkala Men Spa, which is on the former, “Rainbow Avenue”, near the Trade Winds Hotel, just off the Chaweng Beach Road. I found out from the locals that the original plan for the “Rainbow Avenue” was to create a little gay mecca in Chaweng. Unfortunately, like in many gay places all over the world, this plan fell through some years ago and the other former bars that were located there closed and now only remains Mekkala – as almost all of the Samui gay nightlife has moved over to the 2 sois that are behind the Solo Bar and Starz Cabaret near the Chaweng Muay Thai boxing stadium. I sat with Ajay, the owner/manager and we decided on a 90 minutes cream massage, as I was somewhat sunburned. I chose, Q, a beautiful “straight” guy (perhaps 26 years old) who is from Isaan. The massage was very good and intense and just the way I like it. When we got to the end, Q asked me if I want the special and I said yes and he gave me a great blow job followed by a sensual hand job. Not bad for a guy who says he is straight. Showered afterwards and paid Ajay the 1,000 baht fee to the Spa and I gave Q 1,500 for a massage well done. Mekkala is a nice place but it is best if you reserve in advance if you want a greater selection of guys, as there is a shortage of massage workers on Samui and they are often pulled from one massage place to another. Back to the guest house for a shower and change of clothes and then walked over to the Terminal restaurant for an excellent surf&turf dinner (where I drooled at the Chef – he was a hot masculine Thai guy) and then headed over to the K-Club. Unlike the Gay Point bar, which is run by Jay and LB, K-Club must have had 6 young guys working as host bar boys. Right away, the most queeny youngest one latched onto me as there were only 3 customers in the bar. It is a very nice place and they also offer massage services (the business name for this other entity is “Together Massage”) upstairs and they have explicit menus on display that show menu items like, “cock massage”, “ball massage”, etc. I did not try any as I was already spent from my Mekkala massage from Q. So, I bought my queeny young host boy a drink and he tried to kiss me and all of that stuff and I tried to make him understand that he was not my type. Anyway, after he calmed down and realized that I was not going to kick him away, I decided to have an Anonone moment, (at this point there was only me and one other farang customer in K-Club who was busy most of the night deep kissing and dry-humping the sexy manager, Jessy) so I told all of the 5 other host boys who were not with the only one other customer that drinks were on me. As Anonone often wrote on this board, it truly livened things up and everyone was happy and dancing, and I was carrying on with all of the boys as around that time the Muay Thai boxing show had let out from the nearby Chaweng Stadium and we decided to entice the passing customers to come into the K-Club including some of the HOT Muay Thai boxers. It was a lot of fun – mostly the passing ladies would joke around with us – but when their men figured out what kind of bar we were they would freak out and quickly run away. Unfortunately, we did not get any of the Muay Thai boys into the bar – it is too close to the stadium where they fight and they have an image to maintain. After a few rounds of drinks – I called it a night and left alone. There was one guy I would have loved to have offed but I could not get rid of the queeny boy. Anyway, it was a great time and I recommend this bar – just be ready for intense pressure from the bar boys, especially if there are no customers around. In the end, they are just a bunch of fun young guys. Tuesday 07 January – the big day tour with Tom from ThaiBoy Men Spa. He picked me up around 10:30 in a white car (Nissan?) and we headed off for Lamai, which is the next beach south of Chaweng. We went to a high view point to appreciate the views of Chaweng from afar – it was beautiful. Then we drove to the south end of Lamai beach to the famous “Grandmother and Grandfather rocks”, which are similar to a vagina which occasionally becomes wet from the waves washing up and a penis. Took the required souvenir photos and then we were off to do one of the things that I did not get to do in Chiang Mai, which was to go on an Elephant Safari. So, the next stop was to the beautiful Namuang Jungle and Waterfall Park. After our adventure with Lala, and roughing it in the jungle, we walked over to the giant Namuang waterfall to take a swim. Of course I asked all of the stupid questions before jumping into the water – are there any snakes or crocodiles here? We survived and it was VERY refreshing after our safari adventure. Then we dried off and stopped for refreshments – 2 freshly cut and opened coconuts. Now that was nice. Back to the car and off to my favorite part of our adventure, a private deserted beach that is near the 5-Island Hotel resort in the Taling Ngam section of Koh Samui. We stopped the car just before arriving to the 5-Island Hotel resort and then back tracked on foot in the opposite direction through an abandoned wooden foot path where there were parts of it with overgrowth and we had to bush whack our way forward and parts of the footpath were falling down. Then we arrived underneath an old Chinese burial shrine and from there were steep steps down to the beautiful secluded beach, with little private coves. We did stumble across someone sleeping on one of the caves but we just continued forward to our own private cove and then got naked and swam. We were literally in front of the 5 Islands off in the distance in the open sea and it was breathtaking and it was great to be naked – as I know in the LOS it is prohibited to be naked. I am sorry that I cannot share any web links or other info to this secluded place – you will just need to contact Tom to find the secret way to get there. I don’t believe that I could find it again if I were not with Tom. After about 1 hour of swimming and soaking in the sun, we had to head back towards the car and we stopped at one of the beachfront stands and ate a great late lunch with a stunning view of the 5-Islands. So, not to be outdone, Tom drove around the rest of the Samui Island (we had done a full circle of the island) bringing me back to his ThaiBoy Men Spa, where he had arranged a 90 minute massage for me with Nam – a very sexy gay guy. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day and Tom is an excellent host and tour guide and I highly recommend if you go to Koh Samui that you visit to see him. Wednesday 08 January – during the previous day’s journey I had inadvertently put my smartphone in a bag of seawater. Don’t ask me how I had done such a stupid thing. So, I spent most of today going from one repair shop to another hoping to find someone who could perform a miracle on my phone. I was very upset as I lost many important messages and photos that were supposed to be included in my trip reports for Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui. Anyway, I wasted most of the day with this task and in the end my phone could not be saved. Sea water is the worst as it immediately corrodes the inside of the phone and causes an immediate short circuit as the salt water is full of ions that conduct electricity which short out all of the circuits. So, I decided to wait for my trip to Pattaya to buy a new smartphone at the famous Tuk.com mall (the one that is like MBK in BKK). For my last night in Koh Samui, I went to the Pride bar which is in the same soi as all of the other gay bars. It is very nice and on the elegant side. There were 2 people working the bar and 4 customers. Since it is not a host boy bar, it is not easy to meet other people. It is better if you are already with a group of people or if you want to meet a date there and chill out. So, with my backup emergency phone (very old) I cruised a guy from GR to meet me but he kept stopping in all of the other gay bars telling me he was there. I would always respond that I was in Pride and eventually I told him that I don’t like this game and if he wants to meet me he needed to walk the extra 100 meters to the gay bar where I was. He never came, so I paid the bill to leave and immediately at that moment, this guy arrived out of nowhere and ordered a shot of whiskey and said hello to me and I was polite and said hello to him and then he walked down the soi towards the Muay Thai boxing stadium. Then I left and I received another GR message saying – “where are you going? I just came into the Pride bar and took a shot of whiskey and said hello to you”. I just ignored his messages. I thought to myself – that was a very weird encounter and I did not get good vibes – so just went back to the guesthouse to pack and go to sleep. Thursday 09 January – checked out of the AKWA guesthouse and took a taxi to the exotic Koh Samui International airport and flew to Pattaya with Bangkok Airways departing at 11:10am and arriving at 12:25pm, costing 5,210 bahts – not bad considering what I paid to fly from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui. Would I go to Koh Samui again? Probably not – if I was single – as Koh Samui is more a romantic place and for gays does not offer too much for single guys. The night life is ok – but after Bangkok and Chiang Mai – it is a very small scene and it is extremely hard to meet gay Samui guys. In the entire 5 days I only met 3 – they were all straight. However, note that Koh Samui is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to – up there with Hawaii – a must do in the land of smiles at least one time. This concludes my Koh Samui trip report.
  22. Yes Anone and Vinapu - you are both right with your advice. My problem is different - the organization that I work for implemented a new rule just before I left for Thailand in December that says we must be proficient in a 2nd language at level B by December 2014 or our HR assignment will not be extended. That would be tragic for me. So, I will be investing my 2014 vacations in Spanish speaking countries - even though my heart and lust is in LOS. So, the earliest that I can return to Thailand is January 2015 - assuming I pass the Spanish language exam. Wish me luck. Hasta luego, M.
  23. hello Vinapu, Koh Samui will be this weekends project. I am back in Italy now and very depressed. I already miss the LOS so much - this last 25 day vacation there was one of the best vacations in my entire life. I wish I was independently wealthy, as I would move there in a New York minute.
  24. New Years Day - quite relaxing breakfast on the Ping river under the sun with the air full of that after fireworks smell. Went into the deserted city centre to prepare for the big trip up north tomorrow. Haircut, backpack, medicated eye drops (the dust up here is killing my ability to wear my contact lenses) from the pharmacy. Mission accomplished even if many places were rightfully closed after last night's mayhem. Then I treated myself to a great meal (eggs Benedict for lunch) at, the "Butter is Better" diner in Chiang Mai (189 Chang Klan Road) http://www.butterisbetterbakery.com/ I highly recommend the place and I loved the kitschy 1950s/60s décor. Then set off to the "Classic Massage" place at 27/2 Thapae Road, Soi 4 (between the Night Bazaar and the Thapae Gate) www.classichousemassage.net for a 2 hour 4 hand massage from 30 year old Net and 27 year old Joe. The mamasaan is an interesting character - with a deep raspy voice of someone who has smoked and partied way too much in his life. The massage was very good with a strong contrast between the 2 guys, Net massaging in an extremely strong manner provoking some pain but in a good way, and Joe who was more adapt at stretching my muscles. Part 2 of the massage was interesting in that the strong guy also stroked too strongly and many times I had to remove his hand from the equipment to avoid a premature end to the pleasure where the other guy maintained a perfect slow and sensual rhythm. So, I decided to play with the strong guys tool but when I reached to grab it, what I found in my hand felt like 3 balls, and while roaming around the merchandise I discovered that the 3rd ball was actually a small penis (truly sad as the guy was hot and extremely manly). Then Mr. sensual brought me over the edge and our mutual fun concluded. I took a shower alone and then dressed and went downstairs to pay but I could not find anyone so I ventured behind the curtain in the employee zone to find all of the 6 cute guys all laying down together on a big mattress watching TV. Then the mamasaan came from out on the street (she/he is very protective of her boys) and took me away from them darling guys to the front desk to pay the 1,200 Baht to the house and 800 each to the guys, but I instead gave them 1500 each, as they truly worked hard. Ate dinner later and then off to bed early to be ready for the great adventure tomorrow. 2ndof January – the big adventure to Chiang Rai. Woody and his “friend” Non, picked me up from the C17 hotel around 10:40 in their nice 2012 black Nissan. We then stopped off for some road snacks and gassed up the car for our journey up north with the first stop being lunch at the hot springs which are at the beginning of the Chiang Rai province. We passed through some nerve wracking mountain curves – as the Thais drive like Italians – so I was somewhat prepared but not from the we drive on the opposite side of the road point of view. Here is a little info sheet that they gave me with their picture that I took – they are so cute and info on how you can contact them if you want to use their “services” as they only charge 2,000 for in-city trips and 2,500 for out of Chiang-Mai trips plus expenses of food, gas, and hotels if your trip includes over-night stays like ours did (the distances are just too far to do it all in one day). The Chiang Rai hot springs are basically a tourist trap where you can eat lunch, buy some souvenirs, and look at the small geyser hot spring. In the back, there is a place where you can go into them – we did not. We ate lunch and why the 2 guys asked me what I wanted to eat, I replied with farang revenge and said, “It’s up to you” – they both laughed, as they said that is what every Thai person says to the farangs. They chose great dishes as I truly like to eat like real Thais when both my stomach and intestines are in good working order. Then we headed off for the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) which is VERY impressive as it is a gigantic non-conventional Buddhist Temple, very white (which blinds you in the light) and very ornate. In addition, it is a ‘work in process’, as it is not yet completed and they are adding many more sections. Both Woody and Non made sure that I saw everything which included the “repair shop” as the guys explained to me that an important temple so large needs constant repairs. Then the guys said, “you need to make a wish” and so we paid 60 baht each to be given a tin ornament where you write your wishes on it and then hang it on a tree – there are millions of these ornaments on several trees – very good way to fund the expansion of this very artistic place. è Note that the elapsed time to the White Temple from Chiang Mai is about 2.5 hours. Then we headed into town (the temple is about 12 km outside of downtown Chiang Rai) to find our hotel. We stayed at the Wiang Inn (893 Phaholyothing Road) and paid 2,200 baht for 1 night for 3 people – breakfast included. They guys said we should relax, and shower. I thought oh yeah – some fun. NO – after I showered their local friend said that the guys had to take me to the outskirts of Chiang Rai to the river to eat on the river during the sunset. No problema – so we headed out to a great place on the river to eat overlooking a big Buddha that was located on the other side of the river. Food was great and we had some great laughs. Then we had to run to meet their local friend who took us to one of the most wonderful flower festivals that I have ever seen in my life – held at the Suan Mai Ngam Rim Nam Kok Park – called the Chianrai ASEAN Flower Festival. It was enormous and the aromas of all of the different flowers was delightful. In addition, it being night time it gave the show a different aura as the water misters were on and made many of the scenes appear to be surreal. Here is a photo of the 4 of us with their friend Ban giving us the tour. Then we ran off to a 2nd flower festival (as if one was not enough) called the 10th annual Chiang Rai Flower Festival with a flower tunnel acting as its entrance way. Of the 2 festivals, I preferred the ASEAN one as it seemed to include more variations of flowers – however the 10th annual festival was also very impressive. During our walk at the 2nd festival, I noticed some tension between Woody and Non and found out later in the night back at the hotel that Non had gotten some intestinal bug and we had to stop at the nurses station. Woody was disappointed because we were supposed to have some fun later back at the hotel – but I was ok with it – as I preferred that Non be taken care of by Woody as we had a big day ahead of us tomorrow. Woke up and had breakfast and we checked out and set off for the Mae Sai Myanmar border crossing. I was very excited as I have always wanted to go to Myanmar and this was an extra bonus as I had not asked for this in my original request to Woody. Since I found out that Woody is a refugee from Myanmar (hill-tribe Shan people) now living legally in Thailand with documents for 10 years – who better to show me Myanmar than Woody. Unfortunately at the border crossing they guards were about to let me cross when the 2 tour guides were held up due to missing papers. So, I aborted my entry. Damn – so close yet so far. Woody was visibly disappointed, but it seems that they had changed the rules again for his entry – as in the past (August 2013) he just left his Thai documents with the border guards (Woody would keep a photocopy with him) and then he was free to enter Myanmar – unfortunately the rules had changed and this was no longer allowable. He actually needed a visa paper and even his partner, Non who is Thai from Isaan also needed a similar paper. They could see that I was very disappointed but I told them that Myanmar would be for another time and that I appreciated the attempt that they organized. So, plan B was that Woody called his friend who was waiting for us in Myanmar to come over and join us for lunch. They took me up the massive number of steps to the famous Wat Phra That Wai Dao which has an excellent view deep into Myanmar (my consolidation prize) where we ate lunch. In addition we explored the very interesting Temple complete with a giant scorpion statue which was built to scare away the former Burmese invaders. Then they took me to the large Mae Sai market – but I was marketed out and not very impressed. Then their Myanmar friend (sorry I forgot his name) went back to Myanmar and we headed off to our next stop, the “Golden Triangle” – where the Ruak River merges with the Khong River and the 3 points of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand meet. It was again another exciting moment as Woody was convinced that the Nava Tatong Boat tour company would get us into Myanmar as they marketed a boat ride to all 3 countries. So, of course we signed up, paid and jumped on the first boat for Don Sao Island in Laos. When we arrived we just jumped off the boat and we were in Laos – no border control or anything. I was so excited and easily fooled as it is an island in the middle Khong River full of trinket and souvenir shops – and there is nowhere to go but just on foot on this small Laos island. Anyway, it was a great photo op to show that I was in Laos. Plus the local people were very nice. Any currency was accepted – Lao Kip, Myanmar Kyat, Thai Baht, USD, EURO, etc. Then after some short sightseeing on the tiny island back on the boat to venture into Myanmar. NO WAY!!! Only a drive by, as the boat guy said that if we set foot onto Myanmar territory that he could not guarantee our safe return and it would require lots of $money$ to be allowed to leave Myanmar. So, Myanmar was definitely not in the cards for this trip. So, back to where we started on the Thai side to explore the giant Big Golden Buddha at Ban Sop Ruak, Golden Triangle. This Buddha is so high up in the air to be intentionally visible in all of the 3 surrounding countries. Worth seeing. It was starting to get late so they guys suggested that we commence the 5 hour journey back to Chiang Mai. Back in Chiang Mai, the guys insisted that I take a quick shower and that we go out on the Chiang Mai go-go bar scene to see: Circle Pub – 161/7-8 Soi Erawan, Changpuak Road – this was a very busy and great fun place with a very lively go-go bar show, including shower scene, and a sensual fuck show – where it is somewhat discreet to leave a little to the imagination. Woody introduced me to a guy from his hometown village who performs in the show – who is a H O T T Y – but Woody said, no wait, I want to show you one more bar. I was so ready to off him. New My Way bar – 3/5-6 Hatsade Sewee Road. Soi 3 – T. Chang Phuak – this bar is funky. It has seen better days and the dancers are somewhat more amateurish – especially when compared to Circle Pub. Here the guys were rougher and very local, but fun (between shows they were mixing with the crowd in a friendly way). The show was somewhat lame. I did not see anyone that I wanted to off so we called it a night. In hindsight, I should of told Woody to bring me back to the Circle Pub to see if I could have offed his hometown friend. Oh well, I left that to imagination and for a future repeat visit to Chiang Mai. Back to hotel and I kissed both Woody and his boyfriend Non (they finally confided with me that Non is his partner). By the way, they both work at the Classic Massage place that I reviewed earlier in this post – unfortunately when I visited they were already engaged with other customers. I would definitely like to play with them. But more importantly, they are EXCELLENT guides full of information and friends in other places that they introduce you to which enhances the trip experience. I was very impressed with Woody – being an ex-refugee and after 8 years being able to; become legal in Thailand, be a massage boy, and to open a tour guide business. His dream is to open his own massage place with a tour guide side business. I believe he will get it as he is determined, smart, and believes in what he does and he is a fun guy. Ok, this terminates my Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Sai, Golden Triangle trip report. Next Trip Report will be for Koh Samui.
  25. A masseur that I frequented for a while in Rome, Italy - always started his 2 hour massages with a "happy beginning" and then at the termination of the 2 hour massage there was the traditional "happy ending". His massage philosophy was to remove the sexual tension at the beginning of the massage so that the client would enjoy the massage more. As one of his customers, I could not agree more..... so, I am not sure if there is a "you only cum one time" rule......
