  1. I've YET to meet a muscle mary who actually admits to taking steroids - they all tell you that EVERY other muscle guy takes then but god damn you if you ask or suggest that they "obviously" do too as they're bigger than the other guys, have tiny dicks and a bad temper that would clear a busy bar - but oh no all THEIR muscles are solely from pure natural hard work in the gym it seems - yeah "OKAY then" ....   :)

    Hahaha

And a tell tale sign of Steroid use is "Bitch Tits". Classic example in the Pic posted!!

  2. Since I am forced to read my on ignore steveboy, I have to reply to either his stupid or ill informed statement.

The 50's Great time 5 million people lost their live in the Korean War. The Soviet Union was in full bloom as was the race for nuclear weapons and the Cold War was enveloping the world.

No the 50's were not better.

    .

Firecat69 dont take offense, but if you have someone on ignore don't reply to a partial quote from someone elses post.

    The full quote from steveboy

"This reminds me of my 96 y.o. brother in law.  His mind places a golden era around the 1950's.  Everything was better at that time, and things have been going downhill since then.  My much younger sister an me we take this man as a role model of how not to age, and we mutually cultivate our optimism and peace of mind."

  3. Out of curiosity how did you make your booking?

As mentioned, simply go on the gay social apps and you will find many boys a short distance from you. I can be sitting with a waiter at the Jomtien complex and show him profile pics and he'll reply, oh he works at the BC bar, or SUN, or 4T bar, etc, etc.

I booked through vrbo.com. It's owned by an Australian guy, approx 1054B per night, all the mod cons. A bit smaller than I usually get but has the advantage of a nice (looks big) balcony with sea views.

I usually stay at Mosaik Apartments but I got a bit tired of the view from their balcony's. You're so close to the next building you can have a conversation with who ever is outside. In fact last time I was so close to my neighbor  I was able to pass him a cigarette and chat for 10mins

  4. I can mainly echo z909's information as my experience last week (OMG is it just  a week?).  Note that on weekend nights walking up and back will find boys holding on to you to bring you to where they want you to sit.  Also, several massage venues in the complex, including a branch of the blind massagers.

I have seen the Thai Blind Massage Institute on google streetview and have added it to my list. Although I'm not that into massages I'm definitely going to give them a try. Streetview was updated in August 2016 and I can see from there that a 1 hour massage is only 180B per hour (thai massage). Seems very cheap. Anyone had a massage there?

  5. I have made the switch from Pattaya to Jomtien for my next trip.

I will stay in View Talay 7, just 50m from the beach.

I know there is a large gay bar area just around the corner from me.

Can anyone tell me what time most of these bars (in the Jomtien complex) open? And where the best selection of twinks are? I'm presuming they operate in a similar fashion to the gogo bars in terms of being able to off a boy for ST or LT. Anyone have prices/stories to share?

  6. Not suggesting that you are a low life.

But you're happy with a basic meal, as you point out in posts above.

I used to eat breakfast at the Boat bakery now and then.

It is OK. You cannot expect fancy for 70 odd baht.

But I got turned off the place by the surly service.

Hahaha. The Boat. I do like the food especially their Chicken with Holy Basil/chilli.

I don't understand why the waiters are so grumpy! Never a smile even with a big tip

  7. Hi Guys

Is anyone able to check for prices on a motherboard from Tukom for me? Not to fussed on brand but I need LGA 1156 slot, onboard graphics and 4x DDR3 slots (16Gb max)

Old PC board is having issues but it can wait until the New Year when I'm heading back to Pattaya. Very limited supply of these older boards in Aus unfortunately

Any and all info most appreciated.

    Cheers

    Bob

  8. Welcome Homtom..

I really hope you post your story. I will be looking to do the same as you in the future. I'm a long way from retirement, however, I plan to spend 6 months in Thailand in the next 3-5 years. If all goes well I would truly love to retire there. I'd be keen to hear any information you care to share be it falling in love or visa issues. You name it..

  9. I've never been to a host bar and indeed have no idea how to spot them. Staying mainly in Pattaya I presume most of the  bars in Boystown are host bars?

Are there any outside of Boystown that are worth a go?

How do you spot a host bar? There is a little bar near Bordeaux Restaurant (near Tukom/Mosaik) which I past a few times, just a couple of pool tables and all Thai guys (none my type so didn't venture in). It was pretty run down and to be honest I thought just a hang out place for locals.

Can anyone give more detailed info about the host bars they have been to in Pattaya?

  10. Hi Guys

I'm heading off to BKK on Thai Airways soon and was thinking about meals on the flight. Usually I just have the 'normal' meal (red chicken curry rice etc) which is fine, although not the best red curry.

Has anyone had any experience with ordering 'special' meals? I'm usually not really hungry when they serve the food anyway so thought maybe I'd mix things up and get a kosher meal or diabetic meal. No idea what's in any of those of course.

    Any suggestions? Any sample menus?

    Cheers

  11. I don't think I have had money stolen or really been scammed in over 20 trips to Thailand.

    1.  One thing I never worked out whilst in Pattaya was the people doing surveys. They would always approach me, speaking rather good english and ask just a few questions. Usually how long I was in Thailand, hotel name, room number etc

In the beginning I always stopped and answered. I just presumed I may get a phone call or two later on trying to sell me something. Never did get any calls though.

I haven't seen them for a few years now, so not sure if it still goes on.

    2.   There used to be a deaf guy on beach road (outside central festival from memory). He would come up to you and instantly shake your hand, and at the same time pin a little broach thing to your shirt. He would ask for a donation for the trinket. When you refuse he would always pull out his note pad and show you what other people had 'donated'. Apparently BHT2000 was the going rate. I never paid him anything and he was nice enough when you refused and left.

I still cant work out how he could shake my hand and pin this dam thing on me with the other hand all within a millisecond

  12. Thanks for the replies guys.

My cute massage guy works just around the corner from my apartment and has in the past slipped away from work for some ST fun. I guess the best way will be to discuss with him and see what his obligations are.

    Pattaya here I come
