A tourist is a tourist & is entitled to be counted as one.
However, anyone entering Thailand to work or trade isn't really a tourist.
Unless they are on a working holiday.

If young, fit Thai guys don’t fancy middle aged semi fat white men, I don’t think discounts or even free entry to the sauna will entice them.

In my opinion there is a marked difference between double pricing for the 50+, and discounts for the under 25.
Many establishments, in Thailand too, have discounts for seniors and students.

When you are a very small souvereign state it is easy to become a wealthy country. Almost all very small states are wealthy (yes there are exceptions, like some remote Pacific Islands (Tuvalu, Tonga), but maybe the remoteness is key there and mismanagement). Hong Kong, Singapore, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Kuweit, Qatar, Bahrein, Brunei all rich. If a country like Russia or China was governed the exact same way as Singapore or Luxemburg, it would not become as rich (they would become wealthy, but not as rich as small countries). Smallness has advantages.
The richest states in Europe are the smallest ones (Luxemburg, Monaco, Liechtenstein). Each richer than Germany, France, my own country (the Netherlands) etc. There is only one reason: their smallness.
The discussion was that it could take a long time for Thailand to become as rich as Singapore, and various reasons were given. But one big reason for the success of Singapore was not mentioned: its smallness.
If you have big country A and very small country B (city state level small) and they are both equally well governed then B will have it far more easy to become much richer.
What are you talking about? There are 82 countries (Wikipedia) that are smaller than Singapore (in terms of population) – and not all of them are wealthy (GDP per capita).

If you want a men only experience, stick to the saunas. You won't find any women there, that's for sure.
But in the dark you may find HIV, hepatitis, herpes and a whole lot of other STDs. It's why I steer clear of saunas.
Bacteria and viruses thrive even in the cleanest of places, and not only in the darkness of the saunas. Avoiding sexually transmitted infections (STI) is more about how you have sex rather than where you perform your activities.

He's just baiting you. The tourism industry reports a loss of about 40,000 US jobs since the Odious One came into office, because fewer people want to go to the US. One hand gives, the other takes away. Not clear yet who's winning and losing economically, but it's a pretty clear loss of respect for the US in the larger world.

A few afternoons ago, Uranus paid a visit to the Golden Cock bar – his favourite joint whenever he is in the Big Mango. He was warmly greeted by the two young gentlemen that now seem to run the shop. A few years back they served their apprenticeship time at Nature Boy diagonally across the lane, and acquired proper knowledge of customer satisfaction.
Being a familiar face in the bar, Uranus was served his regular cold Singha – in a glass. As an appreciation of the warm welcome the two “boys” were awarded a drink each. At this early hour, no one else was around in the bar, and it made a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city life outside. No loud music was played and the atmosphere was just right for the good things to come.
While cosying up in the sofa, a third guy turned up after around fifteen minutes. The face looked new and he was sporting a moustache of some sort that seem to be the latest fashion among many young men in the Land of Smiles these days. He had obviously learned the trade too, and joined the two other guys in exercising proper customer treatment. Shyness is an alien word in this environment, as everything one wants to see can be displayed. Neither are any questions asked for their hands to find their way to where they should be. Customer satisfaction par excellence.
After enjoying the drinks for about half an hour Uranus was invited to the top floor together with all three boys. A room had been prepared and cooled down in advance. Towels were made ready and so was all other necessary equipment. Uranus undressed and entered the shower room in order to make all body parts clean for the actions to come. Proper cleaning is a must and one of the boys assisted in cleaning the parts not easily accessible for Uranus himself.
Stepping out of the shower room the moustache boy was all set to go in the sofa, waiting for Uranus to wrap his succulent lips around his proud manhood. Bending down for the exercise Uranus also made himself available for a second boy to use the KY in the right place and to let the boy help himself to the goodie part. As Uranus and the two boys were busy exercising their lust a fourth boy wrapped in a towel entered the room–a young, smooth and cute version of the homo erectus.
As climax was reached by the boy using Uranus as his little dog, the third guy took over and continued the exercise. After a while taking turns in satisfying the customer, Uranus moved to the bed and changed into the missionary position and the game started all over again. The four boys took their turn and understood very well what would satisfy Khun Uranus. Satisfaction on all fronts.
The boys were appropriately rewarded.

Be aware that this figure is taken from men who visit gay saunas in Bangkok. Even though this is a high rate, it does not imply that nearly one third of all gay men and msm in Thailand are HIV positive.
Always use a condom when having receptive anal sex in Bangkok, and you should also know that using PrEP is a good idea. Truvada or its equivalent is easily available in Thailand if you cannot bring it with you from home – and not expensive.
