  1. His Instagram is atomic.fit_wffpro Many photos of that beautiful body!
  2. My friend reports that Tam hasn’t been working for several days as his female customer is in town and the Moonlight models have been partying with her every night in Fake and RCA. Apparently Babe is a lightweight drinker and passed out in her hotel room last night as the other boys laughed at him.
  3. He’s been a gogo boy for around 8 years so I’m pretty sure he’ll still be there!
  4. Now that sounds like my idea of paradise...not having to choose between either, a threesome with Tam and Fluke. Or Babe and Tam; or Babe and Fluke. Heck I’d take all of them.... why not include Sunny too? LOL Sounds like high season has well and truly started, according to my friend there are customer parties every night in most of the bars.
  5. I agree this thread should be kept factual for information sharing, and we can try to keep it going the way of the PrEP discussion. The app abbreviations are new to me. I have never wanted, or been in any way tempted, to explore recreational drug use. However - sad but true - I have been offered drugs for sale by gogo boys. Some of them think this is a good way to supplement their income. So my post is to warn other members NEVER to buy drugs off gogo boys - their sources are unsafe to say the least. For those of you who think all your boys are cute innocent little angels, think again. Quite often the more gullible ones are being manipulated by a drug cartel who tempt them with cash and you want to stay clear!
  6. I will need to try this....maybe I can lure Boom my way!
  7. So this is my - admittedly illogical - train of thought when tipping. I am somewhat of an underdog champion. I tip waiters well because I see them humbly rushing around and serving thoughtless customers unlike the boys on stage getting all the glamorous attention under the bright lights, often being barked at and ordered around by the fiercer mamasans. And then I will tip the mamasan if he has been good company, out of sympathy for their often reviled status amongst customers. Not their fault they are no longer young and cute enough to be star gogo boys. I will also tip efficient mamasans or the leading manager (if they have provided company) just because I appreciate excellent organisational or business skills. Behind every successful bar there is a hardworking manager keeping the boys in line. For boys, I call the one I like down to sit with me and I will either tip him well or off him. For the ones remaining on stage, my rationale is the cute ones will get plenty of attention and tips so my contribution will not be as missed - better 100-200 baht go to a deserving waiter than amidst the 500 and 1000 baht notes received by the best boys (from women customers!). And if the boy is not cute or my type....well somehow my championing of underdogs does not kick in here, ironic I know, and I just don’t feel interested or incentivised to tip him! In fact I think unpopular boys should probably figure out this is not quite the right career choice for them if they are untipped and unoffed night after night. Yes I know this attitude is completely contrary so in the future I will put aside 100 baht as “encouragement tip”, to do my part for the gogo bar economy.
  8. Vinapu, you are a generous individual and like me believe in paying a premium to secure the boys we want. But I think even you would have been shocked at what I tipped a mamasan in a moment of goodwill and, I admit it, alcoholic haze. To be fair he delivered excellent service that night but overtipping mamasans just for doing their job well is definitely what we would call, diminishing returns. Let’s just say I could have a short time in Pattaya. And I did the same on a subsequent visit just because I was too embarrassed to reduce the tip and thought “in for a penny....” If I keep this up, the world’s wealth will become uneven and not in my favour! But I rarely tip performers unless I call them down for a drink or have an intention to off. Nice to have a smile or a wai from a cute lad but I will be forgotten in ten minutes when the China high roller shows up with his wad of 1000 baht bills.
  9. Good to know. I have always wondered about this. I will remember to tip more next time. Boys always tend to flock over when they see a bottle being opened, so I was unsure if they received a cut of bottle price for sitting down and having a drink. Or if they just like a free drink even if they receive nothing for it?
  10. I am a chronic overtipper (bad habit) and as commented before, I prefer using credit card since I usually go to a bar with 1-2 friends and will open a bottle rather than pay for individual drinks and boy drinks and mamasan drink. So I rarely tip into the billfold because I only need to sign a credit card slip and don’t like rummaging in my wallet for small notes as the waiter stares hopefully at me. When I leave, I tip once straight into the hand of the waiter who has served me that evening, 200 baht because they will have served at least two of us plus a boy. If there is more than one waiter, it is whoever is lucky enough to be there when I leave to receive the tip. Edit: there were two occasions I have tipped a waiter 300. One was exceptionally cute, and the other was rather annoying but had a trove of boys’ naughty pics on his phone that he let me peek at. LOL. Yes I also tip mamasans. I tend to like mamasans in Moonlight, Jupiter and Dreamboy as they are helpful and not annoying at least to me.
  11. I can only hope you tip your offs to market rate at least....this to the member who said they didn’t tip at all. A 20 baht tip is arguably low (what I believe locals tip to locals) but at least still a tip.
  12. Surely the boys are not as deluded as that? I know there is an amount of “face” saving - but they are money boys, pure and simple. I have noticed though that they look down on gogo girls, their female counterparts!
  13. I don’t think it so much businesses moving in (please correct me if I am wrong), but businesses weighing up the cheaper rent on a reduced lease against the profit from what continues to be a very popular and lucrative district. Eg Jupiter required new premises, someone mentioned they already owned/had an existing lease, so it made sense to move to Soi 4 despite the shorter lease period as they continue to be popular night after nights. For the one million baht restaurant, possibly new owner thought he would make his investment back many times over prior to December 2019? Or there would be a payout from the developer?
  14. Good article on Stickman: https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/weekly-column/2018/11/whats-going-on-at-patpong/ This matches what the bar boy told me about Soi 4 along with Twilight being re-developed. Come to think of it, he might have known something...his exact words were that Jupiter on Soi 4 would need to move again in the near future. In the article, it is mentioned that all new bars are now on a shortened 1 year lease.
  15. I am sure you will be successful. Filipino boys are warm, affectionate, communicative, and their good English is definitely a bonus. BUT they are less trustworthy than Thai boys, scams are common. So be very careful. Sometimes the entire family (girlfriend/wife/brother/sister/parents/in laws) are in on the plot to take advantage of the stupid foreigner and it may not be as simple as just asking you for money. You can still find a good guy. Just have to keep your wits about you.
  16. Ok i understand you, and while this is where I would beg to differ...in my mind, great service + great looks is where “perceived value” has now most definitely turned into “real value”, precisely the type of value I go looking for in bars. But having been dragged into a cyclical argument on another thread before I can certainly understand why you would like to bow out now and spend your forum time more productively.
  17. I forgot that I promised an update on Err Infinity (a very strange name for a host club!). I asked my friend to get his friend’s thoughts....according to her, she didn’t enjoy it very much. Possibly because she went on a weekday, it was quite crowded but no live shows or much entertainment, mainly drinking and people watching. It is open until 4 am so most people arrive at 1 am after other venues close. Very local crowd, lots of good looking Thai girls in their 20s and the hosts seem catered to this market. Also seems that the real life girlfriends of the host boys will bring their friends so there is lots of socialising amongst themselves. The boys were very attractive and lots of them. You can call a manager over and he will line up about ten boys with a flashlight for you to pick from. She also said there was an older couple with a table, and a gay man who had four boys to himself. So they are accepting of gay male patrons too.
  18. Without additionally fanning the flames here (paborn - you make some good points, and of course this is also based on personal opinion) - I would like to point out that apart from delivering a fantastic looking exterior, so far we have had nothing but generally good reports from Moonlight model offs, Fluke, Nicky, and even York. Good attitude, good service, no rushing etc. My expat friend has a female acquaintance who pays a staggering amount to off Tam, so I suppose this is what you term the “niche”. But obviously she is happy, because he certainly goes above and beyond for her from what I hear. With this type of service coupled with their looks, how can you say they do not bring “real value”? It seems to me this is exactly the type of value customers are looking for and if you have to pay a premium, fair enough. Compared to a 1500 short time off who may be cheap and cute but fail to deliver, as we have all personally experienced at one time or another.
  19. As the drink prices and off fees are fixed, I am unsure where “haggling” comes in- the only haggling is with the boy regarding his tip which is paid in cash anyway. I have never had a bad experience paying with credit card in bars. The check is always correct. Moonlight’s credit card facility is actually operated under the Hot Male business registration so I assume Hot Male too accepts cards.
  20. These are not your bars of choice so I am not sure how helpful this is...but I have paid for drinks and off fee at Jupiter, Moonlight and Dreamboy by credit card. Happily accepted by management.
  21. Also because muscle guys tend to be older? Past the age and stage of selling themselves cheap, they know what they’re worth.
  22. I enjoyed this trip report, thank you for sharing your adventures
  23. In the latest Loy Krathong ads (especially the group photo with Babe and Tae) Nicky has quite a peculiar smile...really reminds me that he looks like Jasper’s aunt!
  24. Ah I see because I was about to ask if you’ve found out yet who’s naughty or nice?
  25. I agree with you, but my comment was in relation to the boy’s public affection and lack of shyness within a hi-so setting. Out of keeping with his usual demeanour as well as my expectation of where he might feel “comfortable” enough to be demonstrative. On a side note it always amuses me to no end when I pull open the mini bar drawer in a high end Bangkok hotel and find a thoughtful pack of condoms next to the Oreos.
