For those who haven’t been there, i would make plans real soon because it may close very soon! Due to Internal strife between the “Owners” it probably has better then a 80% chance of closing by 10/15

I really like the sauna but lack of adequate working capital, plus having owner/management who know nothing about running a sauna and speak Zero Portuguese, i believe imho it is not going to last!

when i first got out of college i worked for Dun & Bradstreet evaluating new businesses and rating them for their chance of success. The First Two things you look for are 1) Enough working capital for the first year of operation without having to take out loans(Lions has zero and haven’t paid last months rent!) and     2)Experience in operating the type of business endeavor they are starting! (the one owner has no experience running a Sauna or bar or club...speaks zero Portuguese and a few other issues i won’t state here on a public forum!

i hope they make it because Rio could use a new sauna and the facility is really nice!

You just explained why it obviously will not with your work experience.

Less competition for 117 keeps them longer in business and me very happy. :)

I think the merger will mean miles collection interchange among ACan, Transat and United, etc, but not quite yet, I assume Transat will be Star Alliance

It looks like they are comfortable remaining independent at least for now....

Air Transat has received the Best North American Leisure Airline by the Skytrax World Airline Awards for four consecutive years. These votes have been made by travellers across the world and factors range from boarding, seat comfort to customer service.

Air Transat Frequent Flyer Program and Partnerships

By travelling with Air Transat, you can earn Air Miles on every flight, calculated at 1 base reward mile for every $35 you spend on a vacation package, cruise or charter flight operated by Air Transat.

They currently do not have a frequent flyer program as their mandate is to cater to the majority of travelers and offer them discounted fare during holidays rather than a small minority.

Note to self: Amtrak Adirondack to NYC, skirt all other US cities by flight, and use Air Canada, Aeromexico and Copa for points south.

BTW, a Canadian airline I use for LRDominican, AirTransat based in Montreal, is merging with Air Canada, whose stock has about quadrupled over 4 years.

Riobard...I am all IN for  AirTransat's  non-stop from Ft. Lauderdale to Vancouver.... I got a great price too and excited to try them out!

But, I'll stick with my nonstop AA to Rio regardless of Isis or anything/anyone else! :D

I'd heard about the new owners of the Tarntawan moving it away from its gay past, so I've booked the Siam Heritage for my visit in in a few weeks.

No indication from what I'd heard that the new owners objected to room visitors or anything, just to be clear. Just that it isn't a 'gay' hotel anymore.

Caeron I have stayed at the Siam Heritage and had a nice time there. Rooms were super clean and it was a great value I felt. A Good location also.

I did have some new friends come and go with no issues also. Have a good time!

  5. Here is a new addition to this story...........

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/isis-video-found-on-phone-of-airline-mechanic-accused-of-sabotaging-airplane-in-miami

An American Airlines mechanic accused of sabotaging an airplane in Miami this July reportedly had ISIS-sponsored video content on his personal phone.

Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani was accused earlier this month of inserting an object into the navigational system of the airplane that would tamper with airspeed readings. The plane detected the mechanical error shortly before taking off from Miami to the Bahamas and was promptly taken out of service, forcing 150 passengers to deplane and seek out other methods of travel.

Alani, who was reportedly seen on video tampering with the airplane, alleged that he was motivated to do so because he was dissatisfied with employment contracts and hoped the mechanical issue could translate to more overtime pay for himself.

Prosecutors in federal court on Wednesday, however, allege that Alani had downloaded an ISIS propaganda video to his cell phone, which he sent to other unnamed individuals. Prosecutors also alleged during the Wednesday bond hearing that Alani confided to coworkers that his brother was involved in ISIS.

The U.S. attorney further stated that Alani had traveled to Iraq earlier this year, a fact which he had confided to his roommate, because his brother had been kidnapped. He also reportedly transferred $700 to an unidentified recipient in Iraq this past July. Alani's phone is said to contain a news article about Lion Air flight 610, which crashed off the coast of Indonesia in October 2018 killing all 189 on board.

I’m Planning to pay a visit to this Thermas place, but like how it is? I just approach the boy I like and negotiate the price? Do they work by hour or by 15 minutes fee?

Yes you can approach them or many may likely approach you also. Anything is negotiable whether just 15 minutes or longer...

I like to get a drink downstairs when I arrive and just relax a little in the lounge area with some couches and chairs and just observe for a little bit. Most working guys eventually make their way down to that area and as I mentioned some will approach you while sitting in that area.

If I see someone I may be interested in then I just approach them or head upstairs and check out the rest of the sauna and the boys that are in it working.

If I don't have much time on that particular visit I may just arrive around 4pm and wait in the area near reception outside the locker rooms. This way I can  see everyone when they arrive thru the front entrance for working that night. This way I can grab my date quickly and get busy when they exit their locker room area.  They are fresh as am I at that point..

57a and Oriental with the gay hustler bars, is the east side of the cathedral and safe since it's the main street. The scarey area is the west side of the cathedral. There are supposed to be a couple gay bars there but I went there twice and was robbed there twice (I keep most money hidden in my shoe).

I can't get over how people are having disappointments at Club Tobi. I found it to be one of the world's top escort saunas. Either it's gone down or people are visiting on bad days.

Medellin is very sexy and cheap but hard to crack on the ground. That's why linking up with Chaterbate guys there before a trip is really a must. Plenty of guys are there but you're not going to meet the nice ones at the hustler bars and many online ads are scams.

I love Medellin but Club Tobi was always a disappointment over the last couple years on 5 different occasions since 2017.

The masseurs were terrible with the exception of Adrian who works hard to please but I certainly would always find comparable or better times on Grindr.

I will not revisit that place but know that I'll find the Apps sufficient for me.

It is not only oil Brazil wants from the Amazon.  Bolsonaro and his buddies want to clear the plant life in order to have more space to grow more exportable food and animal products, mainly - beef.

Brazil is already a heavy exporter of beef and other farm products.  The additional land made available (by burning and clearing the Amazon) will, supposedly, allow Brazil to increase farm production thus bringing in more money to Brazil via exports to other countries.

As to the air being reduced from the deforestation - that is also a hoax according to Trump and Bolsonaro (despite scientific proof to the contrary).

"Global warming is a hoax" is a montra often repeated by Trump and/or Bolsonaro and/or any of their many low IQ supporters).

Trump has an easy solution for those who are gullible enough "to believe the hoax".  If the worldwide oxygen really thins to a point of being an issue to all life (animal and plant), we humans can always survive if we each buy one of these things:

    https://store.mainclinicsupply.com/inogen-one-g3-portable-oxygen-concentrator-p/inogen-c.htm#&panel1-4?gclid=Cj0KCQjwwIPrBRCJARIsAFlVT8_Jn72_amf06p82nRV7v6Uy3axI9iNJTT1tOQAQTMSlPFFhh2HdpQAaAmCyEALw_wcB

The morons (Trump, Bolsonaro and their puttet supporters) forgot to mention that food we eat to live (animal and plant life) also needs oxygen to grow and survive.

Those morons offer no solution.  They continue to repeat the false claim that global warming is a hoax and that deforestation of the Amazon is not a real threat.  Moreover, such an act will result in a major source of food and revenue to Brazil.

    Rubbish -

Actually according to Trump its a "CHINESE HOAX"
