The simplest thing, I find, top John is to just buy a prepaid chip at a newspaper kiosk , activate with your cpf, and have a friend there top it up periodically at a pharmacy. I leave my Brazil phone with him, but that is not even necessary.  Now, I don't live in the USA and any international plan available to me sucks.

I read that you need a cpf number to buy a sim card in Brazil. Is that true?

I used to go to bars/discos after the saunas....then I realized (after several times) that nothing good happens after midnight, safety wise.

Now I take whomever from the sauna that I like/get along with and either grab something to eat or order ubereats and go back to my room to have fun. Has turned out that I can really keep a phone for a long time after all 🙄

    Good advice!

You live in Mexico...you know the only consistent thing is inconsistency , lol

What was doesn't mean it will be the next time. That's why I don't recommend airbnb's , I have doubts when returning and usually have a plan B in my pocket just in case.....

That's for sure but more consistent than Thailand and Cambodia where I lived and worked for 10 years, lol.

I'm headed back to Colombia for a month and a half in March. I only arrange long dates with boys from Chaturbate...it's soooo easy but my tastes are young, no muscles, little hair and 100% bottoms...the more submissive in bed the better. I actually may move there after I get my Argentine passport...the supply is endless!

I've also used Grindr with limited results.

The best way to find out if a place on AirBnB allows guests is to look at each individual listing’s House Rules. If it explicitly states guests are not allowed, or has some similar restriction about visitors, then scratch that one off your list. If it does not explicitly state it, then mention to the host that you will have local friends dropping by and you want to make sure that’s okay. Often times, some hosts are not okay with overnight guests who do not pay. But technically, if it’s not included in the House Rules, it should not be an issue. Also, always book for at least 2 persons, not just for yourself. I just wouldn’t book a place without the host knowing upfront that I may have a local guest — because I don’t want an issue during the stay or afterwards (an unfavorable guest review).

I own a rental property that is often used on AirBnB and I don’t allow guests other than those registered. So it’s best to look for the House Rules abd ask the host directly.

Yes, thanks...I do these things. I was just looking for specific units that people have stayed in that allow.

Saunas in Rio and SP close generally about 11 pm or so, and later on weekends, but after the shows end (about 10), they are practically vacant.

Depending on personal style and preference, people will go home, go grab a bite to eat or a drink, hook up with a date or just get some rest. I train on the beach every morning so I’m up when the sun comes up at 5 am. A late night for me is unusual.

Well 5 am would change the style a bite...about when I would go to bed, lol...

The hour of the day reminds me of the horror of fishing with my father, hahahahaha

In 2020, I stayed at the Hotel Arpoador.  Recently refurbished, modern, boutique style hotel and one of the few hotels that is directly on the beach. A short walk to the Ipanema gay beach, the metro, and Spa Rio. The breakfast (included) in the beach cafe each morning was awesome.

    But what about guests?

Was the hotel of choice for 20 years for members of this and other boards, many have moved on to Airbnb's or just moved on.

I stay here still whenever I go back, I like the easy guest policy, free breakfast, location and daily maid service.....Mostly the same workers from all those 20 years 😲

    I just made a reservation there for a week...May 1-8...Thanks All!
