Had similar experience when I visited them on Sunday. Booked my appointment with a guy via Line and was confirmed within 5 mins. Took a ride there and that stretch of road was under construction with rubble and sand. The shop was on the right side of soi 27 and I believe there is a barber shop beside it (not sure if they are related). 
Paid 500 baht for the oil massage (not sure why I paid a 100 baht more lol) and was ushered upstairs to a room. Counter guy didn't ask me if I wanted a shower but it was okay since I showered before leaving the hotel. The boy came around 10 minutes later and asked to shower. The massage was pretty non-existent. He was just rubbing my back, my arms, then my thighs and calves lol. Asked a couple of simple questions like his nationality and age and could only make out that he is from Laos. He didn't get the question about the age though.
Was asked to turn over after 30 minutes into the massage and question was popped. Had to watch a straight video on his mobile to get hard. Not that I'm concerned because I have met several straight guys who needed straight porn to turn them on. After all the action, he just wrapped a towel around him and left the room to go shower while I was cleaning myself up lol. Purely business.

Strong deputation of 3 newly arrived members including me, visited last night Jupiter. Nothing new, music too loud, air-conditioning  too low but also boys assembled absolutely fabulous looking, all 20-30 of them. 
I could be ordered to take anyone from line and still would be happy look wise. Four parades, first boys in jeans with numbers, 2nd and 3rd in boxers, then again in jeans with numbers. This shop is associated with 27M shop, also near Saphan Kwai BTS.
It’s very easy to reach. Take exit 3 and when you get to bottom of stairs walk less than 50 feet and turn left after passing 7-Eleven. Shop is on your right down short alley. Reception is on second floor and rooms on third and fourth (all stairs easily negotiable).
My first impression was that it was very clean and well maintained. I arrived without advance booking. Although they have scores of guys on website, I was shown only about 15 on a phone. Among them was one I’ve had my eye on for past few trips because he also appears on offerings of three other shops in area but was never available. Consequently I chose him. One hour oil 400.
Manager said he’d arrive in 10 minutes and led me to room and invited me to shower down the hall. Room was typical of area with mattress pad on floor and a security box with key for valuables. After shower I waited another 5 minutes before he announced himself. He proceeded to take long shower and we eventually began massage about 25 minutes after my arrival.
He began with towel wrapped around him and spent an inordinate amount of time on feet and legs. I finally told him to move on to my back. It’s been my experience that massages that concentrate on legs too long frequently prove less satisfying. 
Found myself beginning to lose interest. His technique was ok but the whole thing lacked any eroticism. The chemistry (for lack of better expression) was missing. I rolled over at this point, thanked him for massage and began to get up. It then struck him that we were less than half an hour into massage and it was coming to and an end. He reached for phone and rapidly began asking standard questions as the towel dropped away. Afters we’re offered but the moment had passed for me and I declined (only second time since precovid). He was pleasant enough fellow and we spent another five minutes with translated q and a. Then we showered together.
Minimum tip 800 and I gave him 1,000. Never tip less than that unless guy is total disaster.
Overall I recommend the shop. The less than satisfying massage can happen occasionally anywhere but fortunately they’re rare.

Final reflections
 Best thing about that trip was that it was entirely unplanned and unexpected. Last time I had such fast decision trip to Thailand was back in 2013 , also in May. I found it very energizing waking up in the morning to find out by midnight than in 2 days I’m flying to other end of world.
 That’s advantage of being retired as such feast would be hardly doable in normal 9-5 working conditions.
 Because luggage was free I was hauling more  goodies than usually when I travel just with carry on  and found it bit tiring considering my habit of changing hotels every 2-3 nights. Perhaps time to  try more permanent arrangement next time like changing place only once per trip.
 I’m happy I decided to return to butterflying giving every bar  a chance. I’m still warming toward Jupiter and after two visit this trip I’m more than half  way there. It used to be bar I did not like at all so it’s great improvement. Line up on my 1st visit this trip was truly impressive,  as I mentioned I like 100 % of what was on offer.
 My disappointment was unspoken so far in report. Last trip I spotted  some hunk in Thai Relax massage in soi 6 on my last day and he was not available. I hoped to see him this trip but he went home for good according to other boys from that venue.
ST from Tawan was great find of this trip  shining both with personality and body. He probably realized that and was bit costly but I liked him very much thank you and only can hope he will be there next time. Along with Y from Moonlight and S from HotMale, all offed twice they were my trip heroes.
Masseur N who extracted 5 sessions from me had best chance to be super star but spoiled it a bit by not reading me properly – I don’t like irrelevant or nosy messages like ‘how are you ?’ or “what you are doing now ?” he was bombarding me on Line even if I know there were well meaning and supposed to show he cares. It’s funny situation as I like guy a lot and his massage was by far the best I had in a few trips and in the room he performed as I liked plus plus,  I still had moments I was mad at him. And this is actually not funny.
Overall Line is great tool to hook up and communicate with guys but sometimes I wonder if it’s really worth of trouble to give boys my Line because of such case of abuse so to speak. On another hand it was life saver when due to holiday bars were closed but I managed to utilize my contacts and pull it as best day of the whole trip.
 Tawan with Banana in second place continue to be most friendly bars as far as I see even if Tawan boys are trying to abuse my wallet but at least they do it good natured way and understand word NO without any grimaces .
 As for massage Jey Spa continues to be my post Covid massage central and both guys I had there were gold standard how session and masseur  should look like . Not for first time I noticed that with price service standard goes up which theoretically it’s how it’s supposed to be but we all know it’s far from reality.
 I was concerned I’m losing thing for Thai boys with few voluntary empty nights which almost never happened before,  but now , with cold head I see that perhaps it’s bit of natural. After overheating cool down time should come. If I don’t feel like having companion why should I torment myself with looking for one ?
 Two boys pissed me off , one by not showing and another one by asking for dink and leaving me promptly which was more painful due to fact we had common history with either one. My revenge was simply to skip off this trip and tell them why. At least one confirmed that he got the message.
Prices are going up. I’m not taking vacations to save money as staying home does better job but had few sticker shocks – 1000 off fee at BoyzBoyZBoyz, 900 massage fee at Tawan, 6000 long time request from Tawan Boy( declined). I think time will come when some haggling will be in order.
I praise myself for idea of breaking my trip by going to Kuala Lumpur and I’m eternally grateful to my local friend there for being my guide and companion.
 Finally heartfelt thank you to reader, Anddy, Jason 1975 and ChristianPFC for all those meals  and bar visits together.
 Due to family and my personal issues timing of my next trip is unknown but working on it. Brutal truth is , whatever plans I may make they may be ruined at the short notice. Ever optimist I hope for at least one more this year or early next one.

Day 14
 At 8am  HC left , collecting his tip without any grimace so I’m not even sure he was happy or disappointed, not really losing sleep over it.  I went for breakfast to Das Berliner, short hop on baht bus from there to Pattaya Night Market  which only start coming to life but I bought  multipocketed shirt  I usually wear  when travel as one never runs out need for those.
Then parked myself in internet café in soi post office as I had some things to do on computer and find it easier to do it on PC than smartphone or tablet, then , when walking to hotel,  Wit from Paradise massage stopped me so it went without saying we have massage session , 1.50 hr , great as always. .He is pressing me for long time , no doubt out of love.
After massage I invited him for dinner at Bayview restaurant on Beach Rd where we usually go. Then I went to Tukcom to add some time to my SIM card as it’s expiring tomorrow and being there walked through Sunee Plaza , abandoned to her fate ,  noticing new shiny laundry on the corner leading to it. Finally some bright spot there.
Next step as it was darkening already was Jomtien complex where I parked myself at @home bar , winged with two resident guys of theirs. I treated them with drink and on departure with 200 tip each for their time and decided to return to Boyztown.
Jomtien Complex seemed quite slow tonight with sprinkling of patrons here and there.
So far quite “ nothing happened day “ but it was nice not  to be pressed to do anything with anybody, of course massage with Wit excepted. I arrived just before 11 pm  so in time for XBoys show so I went in. Very progressive show with not one but two “special” segments , it was fun to watch Chinese spectators awed at what they saw.
I was happy to see A in one number. He is veteran there , tall for a Thai and quite well endowed. For me his personal attraction is that  he reminds me somebody from my youth. But somehow he did not notice me and after show disappeared so I left empty handed. Not to give up easily I made big circle of Boyztown sois and in 15-20 minutes I was back in front  of XBoys.
A was sitting at front of bar eating something. This time he recognized me immediately , rushed to greet me which I used to ask romantic question” you sleep with me tonight ?”  which was agreed to immediately. I like fast negotiations. I paid off fee, let him finish his meal and  we walked over to Classrooms  to complete our deal.
 He is quite conversationalist as well , told me about his family and work and all in all we had great time. Longer it lasted , grater it seemed. Notwithstanding his physical attributes mentioned earlier he is simply very decent guy and to spice it, knowing well why he was invited. One of those offs which will stay in memory  and I still remember our first , pre-covid meeting.
So while days in Pattaya tend to be boring , both nights so far turned excellent. Knowing who I will be hosting tomorrow I can already say that all nights in Pattaya this trip were outstanding .
 

Day 12
Very pleasant night but lacking fireworks and excessive sweat. This is what happened when both boy and I know each other well from multiple offs in the past. Novelty value is rubbing off a bit but on another hand there’s confidence that all will go well and no nasty surprises like 4 am request ‘ can I go home now, my motorsai parked wrong place ?”.
Leisurely morning but we made it for breakfast. And I ate plenty to make up for hasty breakfast yesterday.
 Since check out time is 11 I packed my goodies, checked out , took tuk-tuk to my next dig , Le Siam on Convent one of my holy quadruple of hotels in Siam area I like to stay, Raya, Baan Silom and Furama Sathorn being other three.
Room was already available which was good news as I could Line ST whose butt so impressed me yesterday in Tawan to show up at 2. Our agreement made earlier was I let him know when. That was whole hell of short time I must say. Not only he did his best to make sure I’m happy but also told me a lot about his life and passions and let me tell you , those were not boring stories. How stories by the naked hunk can even get boring?.
 No way this could be only short time so I suggested an extension of time  , he suggested   extension of tip and thus it was longest short time I ever had at 6 hrs. No way that after such time two men won’t get hungry and he suggested shabu at MBK. Not being fan of Japanese food I did not even know what shabu is but decided to try. Modestly he suggested we go by BTS.
It was all you can eat  for 499 and certainly food they had was great for bodybuilder , all lean meat no fattening pastas etc. For me it was tastier than expected although as I say, not my type of food. Certainly at home the same would cost me 3 times more.  Walking back to the station he spotted sales in sport store eyeing some brand name exercise  shorts reduced 70%. In my eyes even reduced price was twice too much (520 ) but what do I know?
 So I said yes  but you should try first. So we crowded  into one booth for measurement and short moment of innocent fun. I gave him money there so he could pay himself , just a bit face saving exercise.
What surprised me was how happy he was . Casually throwing 100 or 200 we forget that for a lot of those guys 500 is princely sum, specially to be spent on non-essentials like that so we returned to Silom  both happy, he with his acquisition and me seeing him happy.
Today is religious holiday so no alcohol sales. Having a bit of time  I made tour of the area to see if bars are opened as theoretically they could as long as no alcohol was offered but it looked all bars decided to close , my guess was to avoid pesky boys in brown with palms outstretched.
  In soi 4 only Adam massage and G’Bangkok were opened , everything else was in dark. Very few diners at G'Bangkok though. The same in Patpong , all closed , Moonlight the same and so was Tawan but Dum who is also  motorsai driver was on his post on the corner so I gave him 100 baht to buy himself some meal.
I was timing myself as my post-birthday festivities were not completed. I made sure at 10pm I’m in my room as I was expecting Y and indeed at 10 on the dot my phone chimed, it was Line message “I’m downstairs “ so I went to pick him up . But he was bit hungry so gave him 100 to buy something-on Convent there’s always some street food available. Soon after he showed up with some dish, gave me even change from that 100 and up we went for another super session today.
 Two guys today , both trying their best to make sure I’m happy. It did not come cheap but I like money well spent better than  cheap price tags and that was a case on that fabulous holiday day.
 

@Deszz24 My reading of your posts tells me that your primary objective is to visit a Gogo bar, maybe see a performance and take a lad off. Because you just wrote "bar" in your posts, and even mentioned the thought of going as early as 5pm, you are getting replies that are unrelated to gogo bars. Regulars here on this forum can deduce what  kind of bar is being referred to in the replies (e.g. from references to Soi 4, beer bar, etc), but I don't know if you can.
Assuming that my reading of your primary intention is correct, there really is just one way to go about it, time-wise and action-wise. Gogo bars open a little after 9pm. There are hardly any customers until about 9:30 or 9:45pm. The shows usually start around 10:30 and finish around 11:15 or 11:30pm. Customer numbers peak during the show and melt away quite quickly after 11:30pm.
As a newbie, it may be best to time yourself to the busy period between 10 and 11:30. Otherwise, half the boys and all four mamasans will be targetting you. As Vinapu said, "it's not such great idea to come early as you may be accosted more often for lack of other victims while at show time bar is usually full and mamasans are busy dispensing drinks etc. "
Don't try to control or expect to control what the boy will or will not do in the room. Go with the flow, and understand that like everybody, they have their limits. Or they may say yes to something but do not deliver. It is a gamble. Even experienced members in this forum have disappointments. We should pay what we agreed even if we're disappointed and not try to insist on a discount. It's the risk we take. What we do instead is to pay more than agreed if we are happy with the service.
And something not mentioned so far: Bring plenty of small change when visitng gogo bars. Best would be to pay the bar tab with the exact amount and not with large bills.
 

Is that really such severe problem ? How many times per trip you have situation when you boy does the least possible ? 0.07 ?
My problems seem to be more time than performance, I don't like if they  want   head  home too soon. 

You are building too much science around bar visit , I'm afraid,  killing your fun in process. Just go and do it. Things solve itself.
I almost never buy second drink for myself and nobody ever threw me out  from bar because of that. Yes,  they will pass and ask if you want another one but NO is well understood. After all that's w the waiters job to make sure you are watered.
In drastic case when boy really doesn't keep his word cutting or even denying tip could be justified but only if you are sure he understood well your requests. ( I had once guy from old Dreamboys who refused to undress and shower and was on the phone first 30 minutes in the room until I threw him out, my worst off ever). In all other cases I'd chalk it off to experience, pay and  wave good bye.

You worry too much and read too much into what is said here. How one can pass by boy bar without being inclined to go in is beyond  me , I thought only aspiring lesbians would pass such an opportunity.
First, while some mamasans are pushy by far pushy ones are not majority and even those pushy are not going to wrestle or rape you. Tell them you are watching, you wait for friend who is supposed to join you  or do what I do with stony face, tell them "I like girls ", nobody will believe you but they should get a message which is subtle ' fuck off" signal.
When you will be there you may want to signalize it here on the forum , they may be members who will do community service and gladly accompany you on your virgin visit(s).
I wish I'd be in such a position, sigh.
at 4 or 5 in the evening bars are still closed with exception of Hot male Beer bar w visiting which is not a bad idea for people in your position as boys there are very friendly and THERE'S NO MAMASAN.
bars are usually opening between 8-9 and rarely are in full swing before 9.30. Actually i think for shy types  it's not such great idea to come early as you may be accosted more often for lack of other victims while at show time bar is usually full and mamasans are busy dispensing drinks etc. 
I found Thais pretty straightforward and those working in bars hear it all many times but good form would be to offer drink, be it bar boy , waiter or mamasan if you have hots for them . Most of staff will be on offer although waiters and mamasans most likely only after bar will close .
While sitting with you just ask they if they go with you 'are you going with me?" , if they say yes  ask them about what is important to you , top, bottom , kiss etc. Don't try to be too sophisticated because English is their 2nd or perhaps 4th language so your question should be straightforward.
Kissing question is somewhat important as some boys do everything but won't kiss for some reason so you don't want to for force yourself on them. I ask kissing question after agreement to go is made so they know it's not condition for an off.
If you have boy sitting with you and you decide not to off him for whatever reason make sure :
1/ not to keep him too long as he may lose other opportunities
2/ tip him for his time 100-200 depending of length of time.
