If they are shutting down reasonable, informed discussion of how it works, people trying to get their heads around natural selection + time becoming so much, they are wrong. "Science" is generally consensus-driven but there are always outliers and people with differing ideas, once in a while they manage to prove something that improves our understanding of their field greatly. But people saying that this process (continual application of the scientific method) somehow brings the foundation of these theories into doubt makes no sense whatsoever. Of course there are people calling themselves scientists or teachers who are just wrong or misinformed--though that is but a drop in the ocean of people calling themselves religious leaders who are absolutely speaking out of their ass on the matter!
I make no apologizes for anybody who goes somewhat frothing at the mouth because somebody is idiotically contradicting millions of hours of research and study with "no, my personal invisible magic friend did it"! Especially an average American Christian--because what they are really saying is: "I haven't read it myself, but I was told by somebody (with a room-temperature IQ and a divinity diploma anybody could get for $25 + postage) that a book of muddied origin with documented mistranslations and edits for political reasons says that the earth is only 4000-some years old and the fossil record is just one of Satan's attempts to lead people astray!" That same "faith" also rules out genetics (Noah's Ark) and astronomy (universe created in a day), but never mind that...
Further, the ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE of the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA states, VERY FUCKING CLEARLY that the govt. has no business supporting one religion over another. So that's another thing deeply wrong with teaching creationism in schools: religions differ greatly (even within Christianity) on the topic--and have changed over time.

Maybe you've known some bad scientists and teachers. I've known some great teachers who did treat evolution as a theory, subject to improvement, explained it's intricacies and even stated that others have different beliefs on the matter. It deeply offends me that children today in many southern states are not being taught that way--and that my tax dollars are paying for it!

Although I have my satisfying and cheaper "sure thing" by me, as I had to go to my banks yesterday, decided to head over to Meio Mundo after having anothing craving satisfied, fairly good sushi. Yes, a standard SIM and a micro SIM can be trimmed to the size of a nano SIM. There already are video guides on YouTube.
 
It requires a steady hand and a fair amount of precision. We can expect to soon see handheld punches for this purpose, same as the existing punches for making micro SIMs.
 
BUT... The nano SIM is also 15% thinner and there's not much you can do about that. It will take some force to get it into and out of the iPhone and might damage the phone's contacts.

I am a very liberal Democrat but it doesn't matter to me which party you are from if you are from the USA. I think everyone has a duty to vote. Have you started the process if you are in Thailand? Have you made plans? If you don't vote and the rules change for expats or overseas banking or medical coverage or etc. you really can't complain. Please vote for the party of your choice (preferably the one with the handsome black man on top of the white guy on the ticket and not the one who wears magic underwear).

Let me propose (as I and others have before) that orientation is less what gives us a stiffie than whom we fall into romance and love with.

Seems to be getting better understood that folks can have a pretty wide range of sexual attractions, especially if those folks are young males. Labels may be desired but not necessarily required, accurate, or constant.
As far as where to go with this, my suggestion would be to let your friend decide where to go with this. He'll probably be better off exploring his sexuality in his own way, at his own pace. If you can be there for him as a resource, if he requests it, and as you have already offered, rather than as a guide, it might be more comfortable for both of you. It sounds like he has a number of people with a stake in his journey, and he is the only one who has a chance of keeping himself and his relationships in balance.
