Hilarity at the other site? Oh my!

Recommended Posts

Guest CharliePS

Sorry charlie, I have NO grapes to be sour. If you know my history "over there" you will know I never strove to be part of the pack, and never cared about escorts for the most part. I found the place interesting at first, but that quickly dissolved when i saw what and who I was dealing with. My comments are solely based on the material that I've READ, and not knowing those people in real life perhaps puts the comments a bit "off-base" but its how it READS. If I wanted to kiss ASS, I could have be OK over there and embraced with open arms, but it was my CHOICE not to, so there are NO grapes, sour or otherwise being stomped here. However your CHOICE to come over here and DEFEND that group clearly shows what side of the fence you are on. And its OK for you to defend the "Hitler regime" that exists over there. If you are happy there so be it, but please dont EXPECT us to accept your version of the Fairy Tale when we know there is another more sordid side to the story. And lastly, dont place labels on ME because I dont SHARE your opinion. Thats a typical Daddy's site move and not appreciated !:no:

I am well aware of the deficiencies of both sites, and have no interest in the kind of fairy tales that you believe in, where everyone at the other site is evil, degenerate, etc., and you are the righteous defender of high-minded principles.

Lucky and I started the Palm Springs weekends as an opportunity for posters on the old Hooboy site to meet in person and socialize. The first one included only one escort, who happened to be a guest of one of the attendees. A couple of other escorts were invited to subsequent weekends, and gradually the groups grew to the point that there are now almost as many escorts as posters. Every year a different mix of individuals has appeared. Oliver graciously offered to host the Sunday afternoon event at his pool at the second weekend, and eventually he took responsibility for the whole weekend. The characterization of the escorts as "D-list" reflects your tastes, not the opinions of those who have reviewed them, including many reviewers who have never taken part in the events. Your characterization of the other attendees as "desperate, self-absorbed clients" who "are pitted against each another to see who could spend the most money 'purchasing' the most boys and grandstanding about it" is not something I have ever observed--I have attended every weekend but the most recent one, and you have not attended any of them, but of course you know all about it.

Considering that you have tarred everyone who participates in the get-togethers and the other site with the same brush, I assume you also lump Oz with the "douchbags" who like "cheesy" events, since he has attended a Palm Springs Weekend, and our original inspiration for the weekend was a get-together of clients and escorts that he and Tampa Yankee organized in New York.

We are always happy that so many of you came over to this site. We are elated that it was the Right Ones that came. Both TY and I have never liked drama too much. (well, there was this one hotel room I had in Montreal and TY was visiting and a group of escorts from NYC was there and we had just a tee bit of drama that was fun to watch)

Thank you all for being such wonderful posters and members here.

Me posting only serves as a passer of time. I get to talk about the few guys I like and have seen. I learn about the guys I'd like to see in the future.

Great! Name 2 guys that you 'like' (excluding BN & Mini Driver), and 2 that you would like to see in the future...

Whatever your events were "intended" to be when they started, it doesnt seem to be how they evolved. and NO, I dont attend the events, so I can only judge them by what I read and the comments that are made, and my interpretation of the comments knowing the personalities of the individuals making them from following them on the site. My characterization of the attending escorts of D-list is drawn from me reviewing the escort sites, and hiring the few escorts I do hire. And you're right, it probably has to do with my taste and the fact that I dont need to hire, I do so as a novelty for myself. For those that post at Daddys, it seems that there is a NEED to hire, whatever that need may be, and thats where we differ. None of the escort names on the event guest list are names that the regular client would have ever heard of. They are simply the guys that Daddys site has elevated to some "super-star" status because of those members obsessions with them. So be it. It is no secret that I received the Scarlet Letter from Daddys members because I admitted NOT to be a frequent client, and I was judged as having NO right to be on that site then. So say what you will, and offer up all the explanations and Defense of the site and its members that you like. I can only comment on it from my DIRECT experience there, which is well documented for anyone to read.

Well hopefully expressing your anger & bitterness here by jumping on glutes bandwagon (ironically), will serve some therapeutic purpose.

As for your denial...everyone can judge for themselves,

I was never a fan of Glutes and hence would never jump on any wagon he was driving. Your obsession in trying to find an excuse YOU are comfortable with for my comments strikes me as quite funny. And as is typical for yourself and the other members THERE, if you dont like something that is said, out comes the "anger and bitterness" card. I am not angry, nor bitter and dont really give a Fuck about anyone over there. The people that I was close to have ALL left the site as well, and we are ALL thriving at other venues. And it seems that the only people that are "judging" me in this thread are the part time defectors from Daddys site, like yourself ! So I'll let that speak for itself.

I wondered why Daddy's site is down. I just tried to see the week's reviews. I'm amused by the drama. Last drama before this was Rockhard and Tristan Baldwin. What happened now--details please--lol?

It was down when I posted. I now see it's up and have read the "Hilarity" thread. Ridiculous. Minor sparks creating a meltdown. Reminds me of the old days of escortspeak and Rico lol.

CharliePS, your post #51 says it all, and in the face of outrageous, insensitive criticism, thank you for taking the time to write it. I don't think it's going to matter much to the member you quoted. William Zinsser says, "Clutter is the disease of American writing. We are a society strangling in unnecessary words."

Without intending to invite anyone to re-hash this thread, I did read something here in another thread that disturbs me. A poster wrote today: "Ever since Lucky had one of his posts 'rewritten', you have to know that the ass hats are in charge over there..."

I write now because it is important to me that what really happened is not lost over time. The above statement is not accurate. No doubt we have all had our posts modified from time to time and were not bothered by it.

What was bothersome, and apparently to me alone, was that "daddy" signed into my account, used my password, and posted topics as if he were me. In signing into my account, he not only could post under my name, but he could send private messages as if it were me writing them. I would never know what damage he did because any response would necessarily come to him. I can no longer sign in to my account. But for those who think there might be something sacrosanct about their user account there, get over it. All private messages you send and receive can be read by him.

Of course, he banned me "for life" (!) when I complained. Ultimately, he did me a big favor as I was able to break once and for all my connection to that site.

Yes private messages are not private but that is case for most of message boards through out the web. It doesn't mean that the administrators will read them though. There are codes private message board senders could use to install a program on your computer too. I guess they think it's an escort board so even though one finds out they will not probably report it to the police. That's why in the near future prostitution should be legalized. It will promote better working conditions for escorts, safe environment for both clients and escorts and make people to discuss issues in the business more openly and find appropriate solutions to them.

As for those who use those kind of codes, they don't get far in life anyway.

hito, I really dont see the analogy between the 2 issues, but I think that once TRUST is breached, its very difficult to Respect those individuals involved in the breach. At that point its BEST to move on, whether voluntarily or "forced"....

Now that's just plain weird.

When you think about it, he would almost have to ban you once he counterfeited posts in your name. That's not something that would bear open public discussion and, knowing you, Lucky, there's no way you would just grit your teeth and grin and bear it.

What on earth possessed Daddy to do such a thing in the first place?

No one can answer that question except the one who posted. What he posted was rather harmless. I don't know why he signed into my account and then posted using my name. Perhaps just to annoy me. We had a few days earlier had a misunderstanding wherein he thought I was pushing too hard for timed-out members to be welcomed back. I explained to him that I was spoofing the matter as entertainment and not a serious effort to undo the time-outs. That seemed to be the end of it.

Suckrates really hit the nail on the head. Trust was breached. Nothing illegal was done on either side. I had contributed some 13000 posts to that site, had coined the name "Hooville" for its message board, started the Palm Springs Weekends, been named a moderator, something I was admittedly not cut out for. The site owner had been a guest in my home.

Ironically, Rick Munroe and I are (were) the top posters there. Yet the powers that be felt that they had to get rid of us, their most prolific posters. I have no idea as to why. I've never received an apology nor an explanation.

Nor shall you ever get one Lucky, and did you really expect anything different ? I think the major problem is that members give too MUCH credit to the people running that site. Yes, they provide an entertainment and infiormational vehicle, BUT they are NOT gods and are generally Douchebags. The more members kiss their asses, the bigger their heads swell. and YES, the site owner has the right to deny access to his site, but I will NEVER suck up to anyone or alter my behavior or opinions for the "PRIVELEGE" of membership. Nor should anyone else compromise who THEY really are. And if the result is that you are Denied, well so be it and move on. You did it, I did it, Rick did it, and so did many others who voluntarily walked away from the dictatorship regime. And our lives are No worse off for it. Now, if Seeker pops up here to criticize me for "grinding my ax", screw him too. It IS what it IS......

I assume I am the seeker you are referring to. I am not one to "criticize anyone for "grinding an ax". It is just sometimes I think one needs to say what needs to be said and then move on- I too left Daddy's site, although I did so voluntarily. I was also tired of the DICK-tatorship style of management and the inconsistant applications of rules.

No, you are not Lurk. Seeker is NC bored. Its the name he uses at the other site and I was speaking to HIM specifically. If you follow his comments, you would have seen that every time he addresses something I said, he claims I am bitter with an AX to grind because the members at Daddys didnt embrace me with open arms. It may have hurt me at first, but when i realized they were a bunch of asshole douchebags, I felt good about being snubbed by them and chose to walk away from that Cesspool. So although i am flattered that you thought my comments were directed to you, sadly they were NOT.

This thread should be re-titled "Malfeasance at the other site? Oh my".

Post modification and being a outright impostor are two different issues, the latter ringing alarm bells to me.

Heads should roll.

What hacker would care to bother?

I mean REALLY !.... What secret info will they get? (What D-list escort shaves or waxes, and if they are really Boinking Daddy for free promotion? ) The best publicity that site gets is generated by THEMSELVES... and all those members they keep chained in their dungeon.... :ninja:
