extended tit-for-tat

I don't view my chat-like conversation with Buddy2/WilliamM as a "tit-for-tat." It seems mischaracterization from the other board is very popular on all internet boards. Buddy2 engaged me with direct comments and I engaged back. The thread ran its natural course. If readers don't like where it went, perhaps they can stop reading it.

How do I chat correctly with him rather in public?

If the pronoun him refers to me, my PM is not blocked. However, you piss fewer people off and encourage their bubbles when you speak privately.

There is always someone wrong and annoying on the internet. Shockingly, telling them so, even repeatedly, never seems to effect a change.

That seems to be the case with Trump voters. But the never-Trumpers keep on trying. Without hope, what's left?

Too short. At least for now.

This endless BEGGING from d. is the most self-pitying, self-humiliating thing I have ever seen.

Sounds like I may have glossed over my first encounter with Andre.

Pathetic may not be pretty, but it brings home the bacon.

And props to the OP and fellow posters!  Nice to see a five-pager take shape in little over a week.

1. I don't take vacations. I travel. In fact, I own property in Italy now, so you wouldn't be wrong in calling me a resident.

You will please, please forgive me for making this crack that makes us out both as dinosaurs here:

‘You did not acquire the Hotel Cala de Volpe?!’

Kidding aside…

sardinia.thumb.jpg.ee1c4ecd3ecb7c6ee8621c3f87e3ab5a.jpg

For rest, relaxation, and pampering - a true vacation experience - Costa Smeralda on Sardinia is a special experience. Sardinia is all about its crystal clear waters, so if you love swimming naked with handsome men, boating, yacht life, and ospitalità e cucina italiane, it's difficult to do better. Hotel Cala di Volpe was never my ideal hotel experience, but considering what I enjoy doing on Sardinia (mostly boating), their service and connections are the best.

Like most luxury vacation locations, there is a party scene on Sardinia that I do not find enjoyable anymore. I'm not sure I ever enjoyed it. It's easy to avoid.

I've long been fascinated by the luxury hotel business, and I have friends who do well in the space. When I was quite young, I stayed in a special hotel in Firenze, whose owner was a lifelong antique collector. He personally oversaw the decoration of his boutique property, and served breakfast on his rooftop terrace overlooking the Arno. I was blown away and strongly influenced by the magic he created. This was years before the internet, so you really had to discover the place on your own.

Interior design is a hobby, so certain businesses make sense. I've had serious talks about purchasing boutique properties, but in the end, I decided it wasn't a business for me. If you truly care about the details (as the talented man in Florence did), the job is full-time, on site. I can't do that. I love to work, but I need to roam free. I have much more fun jumping from one project to the next.

Several friends own & manage high-end hotel/resort/spa properties. Down on Gulf Port Shores, Jupiter Island, etc. It is an intense day-in day-out hands-on business.

The recently deceased wife of this brilliant man, his business collaborator throughout life, still very much alive himself.

Forgive my confusion @AdamSmith but I’m at a loss to understand how your above post relates to what’s been discussed in this thread?

Re Rockhard’s immediately-above discussion of the luxury hotel business. My businessman friend’s wife, very involved in the marketing/sales side of his tech businesses, also full-time ran/managed a luxury hotel/spa property on Gulf Port Shores. And remotely managed a most excellent vineyard they owned in Sonoma, to boot.

Forgive my confusion

Sorry for the hi-jack. It was not my intention. I was not the one who brought up Hotel Cala di Volpe. It was a reference to a very old post on the other site, and that's the only relationship it has to this thread.

I can't speak for AdamSmith, but I assume he felt this thread had run its course, and it would be OK to talk cute and revisit memory lane. I didn't need to respond, but I did. I enjoy AS, so I don't mind when he goes off on tangents. If Oz wishes to delete the offending off-topic posts, I'm OK with that. However, I'd much rather visit Sardinia than a thread that complains about Daddy's bored.

Now that this thread is well and truly highjacked, can't help noticing that "sillinesses" is more than a third "s" 's.  My previous standard for sibilance had less than a fifth, including a digraph.

And thanks for indulging mine.  narren_022.gif

When I think of swimming naked with another man, I want the water to be clear enough to see the man's cock and balls, as well as his toes. I want calm waters. I want beauty at my fingertips. Most of all, I want to be in the company of other beautiful men without the entire scene being "gay." I love being around beautiful men who are curious by nature.

Bringing this thread back to topic....

As one who has been permanently banned from the other site, welcome here to all my fellow deportees.... Not sure what I did to earn banishment, probably spoke in too intelligent a voice about the need to reduce human suffering on this planet.

Clearly such a notion is reprehensible to Daddy & His Minions.

YES.

One has to wonder then what the purpose of a so-called ‘discussion’ forum really is.

Easy - feral creatures inhabit any space open to them.... Daddy finally provides the crazed clowns, fascists, racists a safe space where they can try to provoke arguments and spew their dangerous venom without fear of backlash or repercussion....

How kind of Daddy to house the most dangerous of dangerous.... And let them know that a site dedicated to hiring male escorts can become a place for their hate speech!

‘Social’ media revealed for what it really is, then.

Very perceptive articulation of what is really going on not just there but all around us today online. And elsewhere.

Alas, alas.

The one good I can see is that by the numbers kids are EXITING Facebook in droves for Instagram and other platforms that, far as we can see right now, are less ‘evil.’

Time will tell about them as well, of course.

Let's face it, guys. We were there because it was an interesting place to interact with like-minded guys. Somehow we got on the bad site of the admins, and don't discount deej, who I think is a truly horrible person, and found ourselves banished. Many who do get banned/suspended come over here, then when they can go back to the other site, they run as fast as they can to get there. That's why I credit Adam Smith, who didn't pursue that path and refused the offer of help from others to get him back in the good graces there.

My own banishment followed an effort by Daddy to get me to come back after a previous one. It was a setup as apparently, or so I think, deej wanted to ban me. He proceeded to do so on the slimmest evidence. I won't go back again.
