  1. There is another interesting thread on naughty-nieces.com where the poor niece's uncle was a keen philatelist and every morning he would bore her with an update on his stamp collecting activities. Before visiting Thailand the niece wasn’t aware that Bangkok is the worlds leading city for philately.
  2. ……and you were discreet enough not to enquire how your niece spent time when you were apart. Perhaps she was enjoying some Isaan cock? Hope her trip was as fulfilling as yours
  3. It’s been Supertown since 2019….
  4. He’s referring to Supertown. Some people refer to it as the Complex or Jomtien Complex. The same people who might ask if you prefer listening to the wireless or the gramophone and who call a nightclub a “disco”. https://www.gaysupertown.com
  5. Delighted you have finally found Derby King! I was first taken there by a guy from one of the bars. Like you I had missed it previously. Never looked back since and the guys almost invariably prefer it to Foodland
  6. You can’t become an “Old Boy” until you have left school. You can become a “Young Boy” by playing for one of Switzerland’ must successful football clubs. You can be a natural “Big Boy” if well endowed or become a “Big Boy” if you over eat / drink. When do you become too old to become someone’s boyfriend? Oh Boy! It’s so confusing.
  7. I was on a “boys’ night out” tonight and the boys’ ages ranged from 50’s to 80’s
  8. Looking forward to a detailed review of their Chicken & Cashew nuts🤣
  9. Derby King is open until 0200 and quality of food so much better than Foodland. Lots of eye candy from the bars too
  10. Groovin’ High Jazz Bar on Silom and The Living Room on Sukhumvit close to Asok BTS are both good
  11. Would that be the one who appears thinner skinned than a gossamer condom?
  12. Good suggestion to have spicy hors d’oeuvre at Senso on route to Somtum Der. Have you got any restaurant recommendations to add to the list?
  13. Foodland is a supermarket situated on the north east side of Patpong 2. The cafeteria style restaurant where you can sit inside at tables overlooking the street is called Took Lae Dee and it is accessed by walking in through the Foodland entrance and turning right. Its main benefits are location and being open 24 hours. If you are looking for an experience to enliven your taste buds, it is not the place to go. It serves a selection of Thai dishes but they tend to have been adapted / watered down for western customers and the local guys don’t find the food authentic. There are also western dishes but they are of poor quality and best avoided. The big advantage of Took Lae Dee is its location within the Foodland supermarket and being open 24 hours. For better quality late night food, you can try Happy Beer Garden on Surawong or Derby King on Patpong 1. If you are with guys from the bars and give them the option of Took Lae Dee or Derby King and can persuade them to say more than “up to you” they will almost invariably choose Derby King. It always amazes me that in these forums there is frequent mention of Foodland (when referring to Took Lae Dee) and hardly any mention of Derby King which is a similar size but better food. It is very busy around the time the bars close. The guys also really like the range of eateries in the 24 hour food court in the building on west corner of the junction of Silom and Rama IV but that is a walk away. Street food is another popular option and there are good clusters at the western end of Saladaeng and on the Soi that runs down the east side of the Le Meridian hotel (just off Surawong). For lunchtime or early evening Thai food, Somtum & Plara on Silom is good and so is Nuaniyom on Soi Convent. If looking for a gay vibe, try G’s on Silom Soi 4. At a higher price point, The Mango Tree on Silom Soi 6 is a good experience as is Somtum Der on Saladaeng which features in the Michelin guide. Happy Dining! .
  14. I like Happy Beer Garden but it has declined over the years and is not as good as in its heyday in its original location on the other side of Surawong before they were forced to move to make way for the development in front of The Montien that is home to the Burger King and the Starbucks Coffee House. The original Happy Beer Garden used to have a TukTuk incorporated into the fit out and you often had to queue to get a table. Fresh seafood would be displayed on ice. The seafood initially survived the transition to the new premises, which is much more of a shop than a beer garden, but sadly the seafood display disappeared around the time of COVID19 and the menu is now more limited.
  15. Stay in the Silom area. Taxis and Grab cars are cheap and arrive quickly so very easy to transfer with your luggage to Galleria 10 when the time comes. Le Meridien and Crowne Plaza are both very well located and to be recommended. At the budget end of the market, you could consider The Quarter Silom by UHG, The Raya Surawong or Ibis Styles. Avoid Airbnb as it is banned for short stays in Thailand so you could have problems at the property if you have booked through Airbnb.
  16. The Asian and Middle Eastern carriers do generally offer a higher level of service with greater comfort and better catering . In particular their short haul fleets (excluding low cost carriers) offer substantially better service and comfort than short haul in Europe, Americas and Africa where you now normally have to purchase food in economy class and business class seat is same as economy but with middle seat kept vacant. The short haul experience drags down the rating for European, American and African carriers
  17. In the November of 2024, six tourists died in Laos after drinking shots contaminated with methanol
  18. 747-800 passenger version is flown by Korean Air and Air China as well as Lufthansa.
  19. Actually there are 18 rivers traversing Lodz totalling 123.9 km and it was very much a city on the water until it developed and the rivers were buried underground. Gradually some of the rivers are being uncovered. This link provides more info https://www.inyourpocket.com/lodz/Rivers-of-Lodz_70954f#google_v
  20. There doesn’t appear to be much knowledge or common sense in the Department_Of_Agriculture. It appears to be a “shitty, shoddy” Department that “cannot be trusted” and jumps to premature conclusions based on its racist prejudices.
  21. Indigo Phuket is good and I enjoyed stay there but it is not a beach front property. Amari Phuket is on the beach front and has beautiful rooms with balconies looking straight out to sea. I walk into Patong and back every day and in the evening walk in again but catch a Tuktuk to get back late at night.
  22. I think he was called Beachlover when he was younger
  23. Latintopxx must be disappointed that pony riding hasn’t been brought in as an Olympic event. He’d quite fancy his chances for a gold medal.
  24. The skill involved in dressage and show jumping is enormous. I’m not into either sport but the highlights I saw of the dressage in particular were amazing. For sportsmen and women in this field, the olympics is so important and it would a great shame if they were dropped. Moving horses internationally is not that difficult and is a necessity of international competition including horse racing. The bicyclists need to take their bicycles, the sailors their dinghies, the rowers their boats and the equestrians need their horses. I’m in favour of javelin and shot put too. Quite a skill to see how far things can be thrown. Great to see new records being broken for fastest sprint, highest and longest jump, furthest throw etc. These simple sports are at the very heart of the Olympics.
