Planet Romeo is an important asset for me during my visits to Pattaya. In fact I never bother with the other options, but maybe I should. What is important for me is the quality of the photos and the information about the boy, such as age and sexual orientation. One improvement I would like is the response time for messages between me and the boy.

Sansuk Sauna & Guesthouse Pattaya, Thailand
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Pattaya
Bicincin Both the second and third floors are available for play and there are far more than three cubicles on the second. There is never any shortage of cubicles, only of attractive Thai guys to take inside. Sansuck should try and encourage more young Thai boys to visit. You wouldn't want to fuck in the steam room - that would be rather uncomfortable and not welcomed by your fellow occupants. -

bicincin. I've been to the Sansuck quite a few times now over the years and even stayed there. "Getting your bearings" On arrival at the reception desk one pays the entrance fee and proceeds to the changing area. On entering the locker room, You receive keys with a numbered tag on an elastic strap which you can put on your wrist or maybe ankle. Any drinks or meal you purchase are charged to that number and you pay when you leave the place. The lockers are secured by both a built in lock and a padlock and contain two large towels plus a sachet of lube and a condom. A couple of spare condoms left in the locker would be a good idea as they are easy to drop or loose. I usually walk about in my speedos and leave my towel by the pool, but some evenings you will find guys naked or wearing g strings, but the majority wrap themselves in their towel. Most older farangs go into the cruising areas looking for contact with the younger attractive Thais, a lot of whom are looking for boyfriends. Group sex does happen in the cubicles and if you circulate with an erection it will get handled. Some guys like to wank their cocks in the corridors. There is a lot of milling about and circulation in the two cruising floors and very often you are unsuccessful finding a partner and return to the pool area maybe to try again later. Of course there is no compulsion to cruise - you could just go there for the sauna or steam room and the meals are OK. Kokopelli Yes agreed they are normally available a short distance from the Soi exit on the main road. Sansuck advertise a tuk tuk to take you there but I've only used it once so,I usually walk up the hill if I don't have a motor bike. -
Alternative countries to Thailand for retirement?
Travellerdave replied to zombie's topic in Gay Thailand
Spain is a major gay vacation destination for Europeans. Not just the mainland but the Islands too. There are a lot of bargain properties available at the moment. -
Yes modesty(!) prevails. I've just finished 3 weeks in Pattaya. Slept with 5 separate boys all invariably naked in bed with me, but draped in the towel for undressing, showering and dressing. They prefer only a tiny amount of light in the room say from the bathroom door being ajar. A Str guy told it's the same with the girls

Just changing the discussion a little. I understand on good authority that IceaCream Ca was arrested yesterday at Dongtan by the cops. They even handcuffed him. Presumably he had not paid his dues.

before I discovered Thailand I used to spend holidays on the island of Gran Canaria. A section of the beach there was regarded as gay and nudism was the general rule there, although some like me liked to wear outrageous thongs. I still have the gold and silver ones but darent wear them at Dongtan. There was a certain amount of flirting and liaisons in the extensive dunes which the cops tried to police. Sadly my body has deteriorated over the 10 years since those days. Thailand has a deeply entrenched culture of modestly which you see when you off boys. They usually like to cover themselves with the towel until they are ready to get into bed with you and the lights go off. If you took a Thai boyfriend to Gran Canaria I am sure he would adjust quickly.

Yes I agree with Firecat. Jomtien is to be preferred if bars and gogo's are not a priority. Getting to the beach at Jomtien can be slow, through the congested roads, by baht bus particularly if like me you stay in Sunee. I have hired a motor bike which makes for a quicker trip, but that option is only for minority.

Hi guys. I got to Dongtan at about 11 am and it was already busy. The temperature today has returned to normal after a few days of unusually cool conditions. In fact most of the Thais have been wearing jackets sweaters etc. There has been a cool wind from China taking the temperatures down to about 20c day and 15c night. I selected a lounger type chair in the third concession from the toilet block. The charge for these is I think 100 baht, but of course you get a nice towel included. I was on my own. I did think about inviting my boyfriend du jour, from last night, but he wasn't much of a companion so I rejected that idea. The wifi at that concession was rather slow but it did allow me to check emails. As usual most customers were middle aged farangs and a few had their young Thai boyfriends seated with them. I didn't see any unaccompanied Thai boys which is the usual situation these days. There were a number of older females seated in the front rows, which is to be deplored on our gay beach. They were probably Russians although they are much less in evidence this year. Icream Ka was in full voice and even did a little cabaret turn for our benefit in his rather fetching white briefs. Not so many beach vendors or massage men this year. I enjoyed my visit and did a little sun bathing in my speedos, although I am carefull not to burn, as the strong sunlight can penetrate even the concession canopy. I was in the water for a while swimming out and back to the swimming area barrier which is further than it looks. I had had enough at 4pm so returned to my motor bike for return to Pattaya. I did think about stopping at the Bamboo Bar or in the Complex but they are usually very quiet until the mass exodus from the beach at about 4.30 to 5.00 A few boys like these would have made my day

Sansuk Sauna & Guesthouse Pattaya, Thailand
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Pattaya
I visited the Sansuck alone on Friday evening and enjoyed my visit. It was busy round the pool and I was lucky to find a bed. I wore my speedos with the condom and Lube tucked inside, hoping to use them later. Most guys were laid or walking about draped in the towels which are provided, however two were naked and I noticed several wearing g strings. This encouraged me to return to the changing area and put mine on. After 15 minutes by the pool and feeling horny I tried the cruising areas upstairs. I was suprised to see a uniformed security guard walking about. This seems to be a recent development, maybe to stop voyeurs trying to view activities in the cubicles. It takes a little while for the eyes to adjust so it's better to stand still until you can see where you are going and who is there. The idea is to circulate so as to flirt and make contact. Of course the younger Thais are in demand but I did find one who responded to my groping hands and there was no whispered request for cash. Brief kissing and body contact preceded moving into a cubicle where my partner dragged the bed up to the door. The lube and condom were inside my g string which was discarded for a sucking session. His cock was slim and hard and I was ready to be topped which he did very nicely. I avoided groaning and moaning which seems to appeal to others. On conclusion I retreated to the shower but he seemed to disappear and I didn't see him again which was a pity. I would have liked to have chatted and even seen him away from the Sansuck. I left about 8.30 and assended the hill on foot as the shuttle tuk tuk seemed to be unavailable. Continuing walking I was almost at the flyover before I could stop a bahT Bus. If you intend to visit the Sansuck a rented motor bike would be a good investment if you feel confident to ride one. -
Erected. I think you are perhaps exagerating to problem of false profiles on GR. Profiles there are rather like career resume's or cv's - you tend to make them look as favourable as possible. I'm am a user of GR when in LOS, as I will be shortly, and I am in the gay sex tourist category. I would say that 50% of the profiles are accurate, as regards age, appearance and cock size. 30% are not, but not to the extent of rejecting the boy. 20% are fraudulent and I have had to get rid of them in an appropriate manner. Comparing pickups from gogo's or bars and GR I would say the latter has the advantage of availability out of bar hours but is not necessarily a quicker contact method.

I once was driven by a boy I had offed from BT to where I was staying at the Samsuck Guesthouse which is about two miles. I had ridden the hired bike there but I had had a bit to drink so it was wise. However whilst Thais are practically born on motor bikes in retrospect I would not do it again. As I recall he was probably about 50 kilos whereas I am about 80.

Sad about the decline of Sunee. Sunny Boys Gogo closed ?. That's not good. I offed boys from there in the past. What are the three remaining gogo's ? Like Vessey I arrive in two weeks and would appreciate an update on where to find the hottest boys. Plenty on GR but what about gogo's.

Just been browsing as my next trip is looming up. Several boys have contacted me with such as "Hi" or "What you do" or "What you look for ". I usually reply politely saying that in am not in Pattaya today or something like that. I don't attempt to make a date for two weeks hence, as the boys are not interested. This nearly always brings the contact to a finish. When in Thailand I would check the boys profile and if he looks attractive I might ask for a few details like where he is situated. Then I get his phone because arranging the date is impossible via GR due to response delay, but then the language barrier arises. If I initiate the contact I never know what to say - it has to be more than "Hi", but I don't like revealing my hotel. I suppose stating long time or short or "Top/bottom " would be appropriate. It's a bit of an untidy process which can lead to disappointment on either side. Any suggestions ?.

In one of the British newspapers recently there was a quiz where one question was to pair up countries with a list of tourist visitors they received. I haven't saved it but I recall that Thailand was in third place behind USA (120 million) and France (85 million). Thailand was ahead of UK and Australia.

December 2015 adventures- Bangkok and Pattaya trip
Travellerdave replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
I always gravitate to Pattaya with token visits to Bkk or perhaps Chaing Mai or several other resorts. Part of the attraction is the beach. I know it's in the lower division of Thai beaches but it's good for me. I spend afternoons there at the Dongtan gay part, sometimes alone but sometimes with my boyfriend du jour. I think it goes back to my liking for beach holidays in gay resorts in Europe such as Playa del Ingles, where you could sun bathe naked and have liaisons in the sand dunes, when the cops weren't about. I'm in Pats in three weeks when I will no doubt make the acquaintance of the twinks not favoured by Vinapu. I've booked the first few days accommodation in a Sunee Guesthouse. -
Reading this thread I started reflecting on the few instances of contact with the Thai medical system. I've made about 25 trips to Pattaya over the last 10 years, but really I have been more healthy there than I am here in the UK. I go to the Pattaya Memorial Hospital for my HIV check and it's always a nervous few minutes waiting for the result, perhaps worrying about oral sex and the tiny chance of infection. Apart from this I once went to the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital when a dog I stepped on bit me. A course of five injections was prescribed for which I paid 11000 baht. I'm always a bit wary of Thai dogs now. Then I thought I had broken a rib when I fell coming out of the shower on the stone edge of the shower sink. Bloody painfull and I had to tell the boy to leave as I wasn't in any fit state to enjoy sex with him. The X-ray at BPH showed nothing broken but it was more than a week before the pain subsided. Beware of wet slippery tiled floors in Thai hotels !. Finally I was running from BT to Jomtien when I tripped up on a rough part of the footpath. A motor bike taxi man took me to a doctor who patched up my grazes and cuts and told me I had broken my little finger. But for about 75 weeks of time spent in Thailand this is quite a modest amount I think. For something serious I would rely on my UK medical and travel insurances to pay for treatment. Sorry to ramble on but I like to make a post every once in a while.

Same for me - I went twice. Rather a unfavourable location for a gay massage place. Round for a quality place in areas frequented by us gays, like BT, Sunee, Jomtien, Etc.

I've never had a negative reaction from Middle East guys in the Sunee Area, but I'm still wary of walking back from there with my young off to my hotel in Boystown. Within the Plaza itself I have no inhibitions with walking with my boyfriend sometimes holding hands or cuddling in one of the outside bars. Usually I prefer to hire two motor bikes for the short trip which I would never do alone. I dont have this fear at Jomtien walking with a boy from the gay beach to catch a baht bus back to Pattaya.

Hi Anthogay You do not mention when exactly you are visiting. The availability of rooms varies greatly according to the season. From December to March is high season when the weather is a little cooler and there is not much rain. There are far more visitors from Europe, North America and Russia so hotel prices are higher and availability of rooms is lower during this period, particularly around Christmas/New Year. Hence I would make a reservation if arriving December to March certainly for the first few days, as you would not want to be wandering about looking for a room after a long journey. There are other times when things are busier such as during the Chinese New Year, but during April to November you would not be risking not finding accommodation. However if you want to stay at a specific hotel it would be wise to reserve. I don't know about crazy night but in Pattaya the gay friendly hotels are concentrated in (a) Boystown - I stay at the Ambience (b) Sunee Plaza © jomtien. You can find a lot of references to hotels on this site and also in for example trip adviser. I am not an expert as regards Bangkok, but I stay at the Tantawan which is gay friendly but a little expensive. At a lower price is the Malaysia.

Thanks for this highly entertaining trip report. You obviously put a lot of time and effort into its production. We need more like it and I hope to produce one in January when I return to Pattaya, although there will not be pictures of girls or ladyboys in mine as I am 100% gay. We should however welcome reports from bisexual guys particularly when they censor their activities with bar girls. I was interested in the parts when you mentioned taking boys to the Queen Victoria in Soi 6, which is I think, not a gay hotel and is in a non-gay area. I once walked down this Soi which seemed to be frequented mainly by rough British guys likely to be gay unfriendly. I would feel very uncomfortable there with my boyfriends. Anyway thanks again.

When in Pattaya I visit the gay beach in the afternoons quite frequently. I like the relaxed atmosphere, the sea air and also chats to other older gays who like me sit in the same place day after day. Ok these days few boys in speedos are to be found but a few still go there. I take it that the "crackdown" refers to the one day a week when the concessions cannot operate with their chairs and umbrellas ?. I think this was a bad idea - I don't expose my body to the full force of the sun in Thailand, so don't go to the beach on those days. I don't believe the water at Dongtan is as bad as described as filthy. I go into the sea frequently for a swim and have yet to experience any ill effects from this, although I keep my mouth shut as much as possible. I would prefer that ladies were kept away from the relatively short gay section so maybe we could petition the authorities to erect notices and institute patrols to achieve this . Just joking !.

Visiters to hotels. 18 and 19 year olds banned by som hotels
Travellerdave replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Thailand
I've just been browsing hotels in Bkk and Pats in view of my January trip. I think my concern which I raised at the start of this thread is not really an issue, as I don't intend to stay at the Malaysia. In September I stayed at three hotels in Pats and one in Bkk, having boys overnight with me most nights and I never had a problem even though several were, or said they were, 18 or 19. Talking about Malaysia I am wondering about a short visit to that country and someone has told me about the very attractive island of Langkawi. Anyone had experience of the gay scene there ?. Maybe I could take a Thai boyfriend with me, but I suppose he would have to have a passport. -
Your account of going into Sunny Boys intending to off one of the twins resonated with me. You leave the hotel to go to a bar / gogo to meet and off a boy you are attracted to or have maybe offed before, but on entering you find him sat with a customer. You are annoyed and the boy becomes more and more attractive in your eyes, but still the customer shows no sign of leaving and even starts playing with the boy's cock. None of the other boys get your attention and after several drinks you leave the bar flustrated. Later you return hoping the bastard has gone leaving the boy free, but you find they have gone together. Just one of the annoyances of being a sex tourist !.
