  1. And it seems they have actually started that process - as to how big, long or REAL that wall is or will ever be is I guess a whole other question, but PR wise at least they're getting the story out that building of said wall is now 80% complete no less ! My guess it will be like someone else's "wall" where after a lot of talk and bluster only something like 102 miles of NEW wall were every ACTUALLY built in the end ( from 2017 to now) with the other 375 or so miles of wall just being a make over of what was already there. https://www.facebook.com/reel/2506258256481651
  2. Trust me I'm not, as "experts" like him I "usually" just let go right over my head on the whole but to generalise like that was a bit ridiculous so needed corrected on behalf of the many decent fellow Country men and women that live here.
  3. Sorry but as I come from N.Ireland I can assure you that you've obviously very little idea about what you're talking about here and or the background to what caused the fairly minor rioting that took place ( by N.Ireland standards) - but as I just can't be arsed getting into it with you I'll leave you to rant away and fix things there to your hearts content.
  4. Yeah in general I agree with you however as a lot of video's are showing said backpackers "skateboarding" down the only main road in the place I'm guessing no matter how chilled I may be I'm not THAT chilled anymore and would worry more about breaking a hip than getting laid if I was to try it ;-) i also would disagree with you re Irish backpackers as you rarely hear a bad word said about them as most have good manners and enjoy a laugh. And as for maybe GETTING laid as I'm visiting there with my Ph's BF all I can say to that is that "chance would be a fine thing!" lol
  5. Yeah I've noticed those same videos and actually the more I look at the place in general I'm thinking of taking myself to the outskirts just IF AT ALL even as its starting to look just a little bit TOO much of a backpacker vibe for my liking ( including the people you were speaking of there too and their current besties across the pond as well perhaps)
  6. Yep, heading back again in September. A few nights in Manila, a week or two in Davao and a week in Siargao ( the trying to be Bali of the Ph's). I think i'm looking forward to it but not quite sure yet as could do without the horrendous flights either way from Europe. 😞
  7. So what was the name of the website so we all know to be aware of same ??
  8. As an additional to our conversation about booking.com not being the safest anymore ( if ever) here's an current article from WHICH which lays things out very clearly and shows we must remain on our guard ( if not use a different company even perhaps due to booking.coms apparent lack of "giving a shit" about trying to change things for the better! https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/what-went-wrong-with-booking.com-aYOyv4Q7Ua2D?utm_campaign=scams&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwZnRzaAQfqFRleHRuA2FlbQEwAGFkaWQAAC_F_iu3OHNydGMGYXBwX2lkCjY2Mjg1NjgzNzkAAR7qi2VQb6iV_7EdDoL0yJVXX805K0iQBMzLfBGzA02LSJNPBns2Zyj2Y6k3gw_aem_v9eQfIFUB9BWkb9cyio_aQ&utm_id=52523832924000&utm_content=52527419169000&utm_term=52523832924400
  9. Aside from the pricing issues above everyone should be aware and take care now when using hotels and hotel booking sites re such scams as they are unfortunately becoming an everyday experience and have been so for quite a few years now, myself having experienced it several times already too. Booking.com and the likes state clearly that its the hotels email that has been hacked in some form of phishing attack from a fraudster sending an innocent looking email to the hotel which is then followed up by an infected attachment, which when opened at the hotel gives the fraudsters access to ALL their emails and booking info, making it easy for them them to send out a secondary email to all new bookings ( from a spoofed hotel email address) quoting all necessary info and booking reference numbers to make us THINK it's real but ultimately then them asking us to send money under some false pretense. Booking.com etc say there's nothing they can do as it's not their system being compromised ( personally I'm not so sure about that sometimes too!) but they advise that we only communicate with the hotel withIN their portal "chat window" and NOT be separate email etc and once you move away from their platform they'll wash their hands of any damages claim you may try to make later. Below is just one other random example of this happening, but there are thousands of examples on line and it's a scam that's becoming very common now. - so always be on our guard when asked for anything such as money or copies of passport info etc. I should add too that ( annoyingly) there are times when hotels DO genuinely need you to reconfirm your ID / booking info with them and I've experienced that and each time I've just contacting booking.com directly ( good luck with that !) to double check that's been required first, but that usually never requires any actual money or credit card details to be sent so that can be the red flag to watch out for perhaps. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq6zr59m49vo
  10. Excuse my stupidity and a genuine question intended here but how does one go about paying said fifty euro to the guys ( assuming you're in a towel), is it strictly cash up front i.e you already have it tucked in the wrappings of your towel somehow, or you've to go to your locker and retrieve and he waits until you come back to him, or do you both CUM and then go - to your locker afterwards to enable him collect his payment on completion of the "service" you received ?
  11. And he was SO lucky that it just happened to already have a healthy smattering of lube all over it too - how fortunate for the poor fellow ! 🙂
  12. As the AI reply above suggests it may well be nothing to do with your phone/s listing and probably isn't in fact. Either way am i the only person who couldn't care less if my phone and devices are "spying" on me to feed me adverts and the like as in fact I usually find it quite useful that when I google or chat about a place or an idea I usually them within short order get adverts, travel tips and other content relating to the idea and usually giving my tips and hints and places I wouldn't have normally found or bothered to look for into the bargain. So, if the social media companies are THAT interested in following my every thought and my travel plans knock yourself out I say as I'm neither bothered nor smart enough to stop them it seems !
  13. "i told you i was sick!" Or "OUCH !! You're standing on my balls !" 🙂
  14. Just as an aside to my post ( and not wanting to derail the thread or anything in any way here) but I remember an interest fact from that day, where I'd said to the white guy host who owned the large villa with a pool etc something like " my god you've really got it all here, this is living in paradise, lovely villa and as many locals wanting to fuck you as you can manage" to which to my surprise he replied "No, dont be fooled and dont ever move here as it's shit actually as ( same as in Thailand) when you're here on Holiday you're a popular guy but once you move here and the locals twig to that they almost instantly lose interest as one or two of them try to lock you down and warn the others off you "or else". He was actually packing up to move back to Germany or wherever he was from as he was that bored and disillusioned with the whole place. He was that bored with it I almost felt guilty BEING the new guy and shagging all round me like a mad man at HIS party - yeah but JUST "almost" ! lol
  15. Having a threesome with two BEAUTIFUL asian identical twin twinks at an private pool party / orgy in Bali and having partaken of a ton of viagra for the party man I was on form that day and put up on hell of a performance, both with them and the seeming multitude of beautiful local guys who seemed to just keep on coming in every sense of the word after them too - still brings a smile to my face today just thinking about it all 🙂 The party was sold as a ticket only event aimed at Bule buying the quite expensive tickets and the local uber cute guys were allowed to attend free ( basically to have fun with the apparently well off Bule I guess. I'd kept a watch on ticket sales and noticed they weren't selling and the day before the party I rang the host to ask was the party on or not and what price where the tickets now etc - trouble for him was the tickets hadn't sold well and in the end he gave up on the sales idea and just threw a massive party for the locals for himself and a just few friends to "enjoy" and as I knew him from the bars he very kindly just said "fuck it, come along as my guest" - the end resuly being there was myself and perhaps another two maxmim three white guys who were still of an age to have "fun" , so there was us and maybe 20/30+ locals all there for a good time - and Im pleased to say I lead the charge and fought a valiant battle to the bitter end on behalf of white guys everywhere ! lol. What a day THAT was, I'll never forget it !
  16. Yop, wasn't yourself I was thinking of so much there as another member who posted some detail which made it WAY to easy for for the world to read every detail of their life which they may or may not be aware they did even...... maybe they'll read this and ask admin to edit their post ( or maybe like yourself they're aware and simply dont care). Either way my point stands that one has to be careful what one posts online these days as not everyone has your best at heart unfortunately it seems 😞.
  17. Well for a start something as simple as an email address could be enough to give the complete info on someones life that they may not have realised might happen as not even on the internet is out to do good. Something as simple as a two second google search can sometimes tell the world everything they might want to know about a poster here ( that said poster may not be aware of or happy that that info is so readily available).
  18. I have to say that even at the risk of sounding like a dinosaur I point blank REFUSE to "download a menu on your phone" or "order from our App" or 'use our QR to order" I just plain refuse and say "No thanks, I'd rather not would you bring me a paper menu please" and 95% of the time they ( usually begrudgingly) trot off to try and find one whilst moaning about " we aren't really meant to use these anymore but I found you one out the back". The reason is my eyesight is bad enough trying to read a proper menu never mind scrolling through my own own and also I always feel a paper menu is as much a part of the experience of the place as everything else and to have to revert to my phone and view usually a badly designed App that doesn't work as it should does nothing to improve MY dining experience ( quite the opposite in fact). The only exception I found to this was in a Japanese restaurant in Como in Italy last month when on seeing QR codes everywhere and me about to start into my "sorry no" speech they actually brought each of us our own personal large Ipad type device which had a very well designed menu set up on there, all set up basically as an online shop, where you scrolled through and selected the type and quantities of sushi you wanted and that order went straight into the kitchen and so no further staff interaction was required, which I thought well if we HAVE to do it THIS is the way to go ! But still hard to beat a good well laid out menu in a nice leather folder.
  19. Followed by 8 cloves of Garlic !!
  20. Great post there Macaroni21, I was about to say did you copy and paste that from somewhere - until I reached the last paragraph re the rent boys ( which explained the situation in the best way possible for me at least 🙂. The only point I'd add there is even if the American rent boy model drops their costs to a quarter of their current costs i STILL will be opting for the Asian model as we know it just operates SO much better and gives much better short and long term (time) service !
  21. I almost feel guilty reading your reports above as it's starting to feel like a personal travel recommendation blug 🙂 This as I've literally just booked 8 nights at the Fairways and Bluewater Resort in Borocay for us and reading your report is giving us lots of great tips (again) and also backing up a lot of the research we'd carried out before booking too re nice places to eat etc. Keep up the good work ! lol
  22. "I thought that was me all sorted" I'm assuming that must have been an issue with the Sarrosa website maybe just as I was able to go into Agoda ( and Booking. com) and see availability there, so booking now made - and after a quick google maps recee you're right, perfect location for all the things we'll be doing ( mainly thanks to this post I have to say !
  23. "Here is the link to the hotel that Mr. B works at: https://www.sarrosahotel.com/" Again thanks - and I thought that was me all sorted as that hotel would have suited me perfectly, but just went on to book and I see it's block booked as sold out for almost five months !!? So there's either a problem with their website or their closing for renovations perhaps, I'll drop them an email to check. Thanks again.
