I very respectfully disagree. If thread generates say, 10000 views and only 100 responses , chances are that relatively very few of those visits are by those who read thread just to vomit over it. I'd venture to say that many of those visitors to that thread will read other posts in given section of forum as well while multiple responses may mean two or three members endlessly quarrelling over something like you and me about quality of freedoms in certain country between Caucasus and Alaska .

not so sure , reading some replies to various posts I'm of strong opinion that forum would be better served if replies were missed

It's all victim's fault. Had he had boy to accompany him , it would never happen which I can attest my my own experience. Never attacked and extremely rarely I go to hotel alone, less than once per trip .

that's better measure as often topics don't really require response and still are broadly read, trip reports are good example

We should treat this board like bookstore, go to the section which interests you and skip those which don't . If you see authors you don't read, just leave their book on the shelf. for boring stuff you surprisingly often go into discussion with hi over his posts. most of stuff on this whole forum forum is boring i.e interesting only to a limited number of users. But as we all know, it's very easy to avoid stuff we don't want to read about

+1, Even front door lift avoids reception as long as your room is not on 5th floor where reception is. The same convenience is afforded by Red Planet, ground floor lift goes directly to your floor bypassing reception on 2nd floor ( 1st for Europeans)

In most hotels, specially in Silom and Sukhumvit areas you won't have any problems with bringing someone in, day or night. Just walk like you own the place. Certainly you will be spoiled for a choices

there's a lot of sense in what you said but still other bars are also hosting stingy customers and yet manage to keep less pressurised environment when comes to tips.

There's hope. New venue , new management, things may work differently. Over years I noticed that sometimes boys taken from bar or spa behave and perform differently if they are if different setting i.e. my room. It works either way, aloof guy become very sweet and clingy but also one sweet and smiley becomes reserved and disinterested if not outright , God forbid, shy.
