  1. not my area of expertise at all although from time to time I like to splurge on something with more stars to see how better echelons have it. Based on Pullman G , Amara & Crown Plaza stays it's exactly as you say, staff maintains neutrality as they should at the price. Can't envision guest paying 9000 for the room being interrogated at the door about person he is tagging along, in that person presence specially. I recall shy smile by receptionist at Bayoke Sky when I brought guy dressed in very tatty jeans shorts but no comments were made. Other customers reaction may vary, depending on who they are but those nesting in such hotels may be trained in minding their business. And often expect other guest to do the same. As for boys reaction, yes some may expect their tip will match room ambience but also will be some who feel uneasy in such luxuries. The same goes about restaurants with more upscale clientele (and prices). I wouldn't advice to expect boys to be too impressed by multiple star places since, coming from poor backgrounds, they may think our money would be better spend on something more worthy i.e. increase in their tip.
  2. that I like the most I find this category most therapeutic even those in local parts vary considerably in price as some are located in more upscale areas. Ones like Jey , VCK or GooGuy are not exactly cheap but still worth it IMHO (Jey for sure ) Great analysis mararoni !
  3. talking about hotels, question to guys on the ground - did this Japanese hotel just beside soi 4 opened ? Forgot the name
  4. I understand what you are saying as I'm fond of of big rooms too ( floridarob calls me 'room size queen" ) but fortunately for my pocket ones like Raya, Furama Silom , Furama Sathorn XClusive , Quart SalaDaeng or even Baan Silom in soi 3 have similarly or even better sized room for fraction of the price. I understand difference in luxury and overall ambiance but still I rather spend that extra 5000 baht for the night with prime beef than for admiring prime view from 37th floor while donning hotel provided silk gown
  5. fully agree. Perhaps they did not take diligence about getting new blood and guys started to get weight, all the same like their clients. But from what I hear very recently , not all hope is lost. Alternative being high priced Moonlight models, also not exactly in their prime or stunning indeed but full of attitude and indifference Jupiter guys , Tawan in The One incarnation still has a chance to get it's market share
  6. no
  7. one of our non-contributing members was also there tonight (Tuesday) and his impressions reported to me were more uplifting . There was 5 customers for the show so I guess he was much later than 10pm. Show was brief , about 20 minutes but nevertheless show it was. He was happy because one of guys he was fond of in the deep past suddenly reappeared. By his admission and he knows me very well as we went to Tawan together on many occasion there were at least four guys I liked in the past including twinkish masseur and hunkish waiter and some new guy he suspects I'd like him as well. So here's some hope for the bar and their boys admirers although for bar to survive it needs much bigger client base than just few customers.
  8. use macaroni's enlightened advice and move closer to the action. Tons of hotels in the area suiting all budgets and with short walk to sinful sois and no problem with visitors. My favorite are Le Siam on Convent (across the Silom from soi 4 ), Baan Silom in soi 3 , across the Silom from soi 6 and Raya , across the Suriwong from Moonlight bar . For more upscale experience you have Crown Plaza, Le Meridien, Pullman G and Amara. For budget options there's Wall Street Inn , Pula Silom and Nantra Silom. For new and modern Icon Stylus across from Patpong and Quarter Silom by Tawan (now The One ) bar but this is option only if you like postcard size rooms , twice overpriced IMNSHO.
  9. on the back of turtle you mean ?
  10. can't say I agree but certainly there are too many bars in the complex in relation to foot traffic. Hopefully more successful bars will survive although I have nothing personal at stake there as Complex boys are mostly not type I'm looking for, exceptions apply though. as for apps , it was discussed zillion times but there are clients who like to see and sometimes feel what they buy, be it dish, garments or boy in udergarments
  11. Welcome to the forum ! Discovering great unknown is one of pleasures of travelling. When comes to massages in Thailand you can count on full spectrum , from skilful and legitimate i.e Prime to places where there's not much pretence of massage of guy may be naked from the start and everything in between. There are tons of places from upscale and costly to economical and somewhat unkempt an they all are waiting for you to sample them. Start with Arena in Silom Plaza, there boys will present themselves for you to chose one, mamasan Art is friendly and knowledgeable, prices are user friendly and you get best of both worlds, bit of proper massage with smooth transition to debaucherous part. Before session you will shower alone but after session boy will shower with you. Leave shy part of you on the street level. after that sample one of numerous outlets in soi 6 and along Suriwong including mentioned already Prime which stands out for being legitimale massage ONLY although in Thailand one never knows where it may lead. In other places you may or may not get lucky but certainly you will have fun and feel the cock. Next step is 25 minutes trip by BTS (overhead rail) to Saphan Kwai area and sample one of several places there, well discussed in threads here for example : https://www.gayguides.com/forums/topic/39468-massage-shops-on-sutthisan-winitchai-rd/page/11/#comments To move to more luxurious and costly experience try either Senso in Sala Daeng in Silom area or travel to Sukhumvit soi 43 and sample Jey Spa there where hunks abound and "shy" disappeared from vocabulary. After that you will be an expert and start dispensing advices here but not before you report your findings for us in the forum. OBN
  12. it was 650 when they were in soi twilight if I recall correctly. Idea is that you leave 50 baht change as a tip to whoever is collecting fee I guess.
  13. scary but probably unavoidable other than being buckled up when sitting.
  14. if yes I wish they follow Tazanian president Magulfi, covid denier to better world above
  15. that's gross. Surprisingly crew did not act on it sooner - they must feel the same heat. Still good it happened on the ground , not mid air over Indian Ocean. I once was in opposite situation on China Eastern's Shanghai bound flight in December 2014. It was so cold aboard that majority of passengers were wearing jackets and hats.
  16. no harm done. I was in both Bangkok and Hanoi , on separate trips of course and did not feel lonely at all , specially that in both places it was regular working and bustling day. For many of us Christmas as well as other holidays is day spent with people not necessarily we like company of that much, talking about things not exactly we are interested in.
  17. through website or travel agent ?
  18. location is great but that view obstructing beam in the middle requires some creativity to deal with.
  19. isn't it how most fucking goes anyways ?
  20. that's sad but somehow it seemed not to catch up for some reason. In January I visited three bars in the soi on one evening and Sol was only one not full. They seemed not to understand that extremely loud music is not music but nuisance. Still it was good to have one more venue to go to.
  21. inspiring and uplifting story indeed, thank you for sharing. And on business side, quite affordable.
  22. That's novelty for me. I wonder where money I saved over so many trips went ?
  23. Tawan boys are so gentle
  24. at least we know which one has the most handsome leader
