I couldn't believe seeing young couple entering bar with perhaps only 7 other patrons, taking a seat and leaving few minutes later loudly complaining about the sound volume and nobody did anything to stop them , not to mention toning down sound after they left . If was like throwing 1000 baht to the wind. when half an hour later I entered packed Screwboys I knew that Sol is doomed unless they reinvent themselves and fast.

As I said above , based on my experience , minimum tip is what they expect unless they in no uncertain terms ask for more . adding 10-20% ie 100 or 200 baht is pretty generous. when minimum tip is listed , unless boy himself raised issue by asking for more for doing this or that, that minimum is what is expected , even in higher rend places like Jey Spa. For first timers Bangkok should be definitely preferred option as there's plenty in Thailand apart from boys and bars and country's charm is best explored in Bangkok. One should keep in mind that need to be entertained during day too, Pattaya has some options but not comparable to Bangkok.
