4000 is on high end and rather in Bangkok , in Pattaya 3000 for long time is generous. Everything above 4000 is extortionate unless you really like the boy and he is not budging but that will be very rare and I'd say try somebody else. As a side note , this is by no means universal and differs from country to country and from issue to issue.
