For me, I would say that it's a longing for my own lost youth, beauty and fear of the inevitable mortality. Sometimes, I see myself in a Dirk Bogarde role in Visconti's film "Death in Venice" when I am with a Thai boy although in my case he is + 30years old not a 16 years old. I am in awe of their youth, beauty, strength and their innocence that only youth can bring.Yes I was there too. Like a protagonist in a film, I imagine myself dead somewhere in a corner of a Bangkok boy bar(preferably in Tawan ) and I'd be happy.
