  1. My country havent made it compulsory so far. And anti-vaccines have been scaring people off in certain states. Sooner or later, any relaxation of restriction such as interstate and international travelling will require you to show your vaccine certification, so hopefully those will encourage more people to vaccinated. Another obvious reason why its hard to achieve 80% is we have excluded a major chunk of population from being eligible to take the vaccines, those below 18 years old. Once vaccine trials or providers assure the publiv that these group can safely take the vaccine, those percentage should go up drastically.
  2. Malaysia is giving free vaccination to all foreign resident as well, and priority is bases on risk factor only. Recently, the gov decided to allow volunteers to register for astrazeneca vaccine due to the blood clot reason, and slots were gone within 3 hours. I and several of my families managed to register, as well as several of my expat colleagues. The gov decided to continue to do this for the upcoming astrazeneca vaccines. Like everyone mentioned already, the virus doesnt care what status u are, what race you are, what nationality you are, so it makes sense to vaccinate the population, including permenant resident and long term foreign workers/expat. However, when the vaccine supply is limited, priority should be given to those who are of high risk of exposure (health care, essential factories workers etc) and high risk of fatality (older population with comorbidities). Another risky groups are those who cant isolate in their home due to living in a cramp houses or hostels (khlong toey slum or factory workers hostels etc). Back to the topic above, expat residing in a country can be in any of the category in the priority lists. Putting the whole expat community at the back of the line does sounds to me a discrimination.
  3. I care to make the assumption that most of us here carry a higher risk of infection as long as we continue to seek random hot boys for sex. Getting vaccinated makes sense to me if it helps ensure our peace of mind, so i can focus my mind on the boy of the day lol. Of course if you no longer trying to find boys when u are in thailand, and stay at home, your risk is definitely lower than most.
  4. Only worth the effort if you can get the one dose j&j vaccine, or if u really like staying in guam for a longer term.
  5. There is another way, fiance visa or marry a foreigner lol
  6. There's a line acc for everything in thailand. Hopefully this will help facilitate and expedite response due to covid emergency.
  7. In just two days, over half a million Thais have joined a new Facebook group called “Let’s Move Abroad”, amid increasing criticism of the Thai government’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic and political issues. Countless posts by over 524,500 members of the group ask for tips on studying and working abroad in certain fields, while those who have lived abroad promoted countries where they stayed with beautiful photos. Among countries of most apparent interest are the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Malaysia. Many members also sympathise with the current anti-government movement. “I really dislike this country in terms of its system of governing and certain people. I want to change the country, but I think relocating is easier,” said Piyawat Janta, a member who is looking to the US. “The group was created to compile information on life in other countries and to exchange tips on how to move abroad, like how to obtain visas etc. It’s not aimed at taking political jabs, although it’s undeniable that this interest in moving abroad also political, otherwise there wouldn’t be this many members,” said the creator and administrator of the group, who wished to remain anonymous. 8. Its like saying the perfect medicine is no medicine
  9. What u see in the videos vs whats on offer in bar is very different. the videos only shows those outside the bars, but most of the boys are inside. Go to specific bars fb/ig/twitter and some bar does shows a bit of what u can expect. I believe that very same website also have dedicated page on some bars with more pictures of boys.
  10. Thai boys also comes with a set of delicious hot buns lol.
  11. Excerpt from the link basically says its an opinion index. "Our index is informed by hundreds of opinions and real-life experiences—information—compiled by our trusted sources in the best retirement destinations across the globe. We think of it as a tool for you, our reader. A way for you to quickly compare and contrast your best options and begin to narrow down your choices. We have our people out there pounding the pavement in attractive overseas communities we know you should consider. They’re reporting back to us with insights, and information about what’s really going on. They’re not beholden to relocation service providers or real estate agents or tourism boards or economic development organizations. They work for you. In no way is our Global Retirement Index meant to be a scientific output. It’s designed to be a useful tool for people, constructed out of real-world, on-the-ground information interpreted through a lens of well-informed experience and opinion. Our sources are living in the places where they’re gathering their intelligence. And we trust their judgment. If they say the healthcare is good, or that a meal for two in a nice restaurant costs $20, then we believe them." I personally can vouch that living in malaysia is cheap. Living in vietnam for a year before, it can be cheap as well, if u are willing to eat at local eateries. Thailand is getting more expensive due to their strong baht but there are plenty of cheap option away from major cities for sure.
  12. Ive just saw a trailer of a new thai lgbtq reality show that sort of similar to the bachelor coming soon called Bromance. The trailer is in IG though, bromanceth
  13. I wonder how is the exchange rate and fee will be?
  14. Until current wave calms down, things will continue to look likes the pic. If thai gov managed to bring cases down again, it will open again. Lets hope this is the case and happen soon enough.
  15. Another reason to still wear mask and social distance is the multiple new variants that seems to be more potent and dangerous, and effectiveness of current vaccines might be less. Basically until majority of population in an area has been vaccinated, itll be wise to maintain the new norm. I was hoping to see some light when phuket model announced but now im not sure if this will still continue. If it did, with phuket fully vaccinated their population, and only vaccinated tourist allowed in, we finally might see if vaccinated person can actually infect others in a somewhat controlled environment.
  16. Can you share the link to the studies or public health data that confirmed vaccinated person wont infect others? If so, it is a great news indeed. My poor men googling effort only find this article that says it reduces the chance of transmission but still says infected vaccinated person can still spread the virus. The rest of the articles says they didnt know yet how effective covid vaccines in preventing transmission from infected vaccinated person, thus still recommending vaccinated person to observe SOP. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/yes-vaccines-block-most-transmission-of-covid-19
  17. All i can think of after reading the googled article is that this topic wouldve been a great episode of south park. Lol
  18. The point is they want to market their tampon/pad for transmen and allies by saying the current products are gender bias.
  19. More like a marketing campaigns or ads for their period product.
  20. Luckily he is not my type, and im not in thailand. Those who used grindr to find boys are basically inviting strangers to come to their place for sex. I guess if one want to avoid this, bars and massage places are the best option. On the other side of the story, ive known a boy who had been cheated by customer as well, where the customer didnt pay him after the service. He was brought to the door when the customer suddenly said he forgot something, and closed the door on him.
  21. The article mentioned drug, so i guess thats one of the trick. Other than that, perhaps some sort of blackmail or violence?
  22. I dont feel your comments is pessimistic but rather realistic. But for most here, situation at our country are not much diff either. The major diff is the boys that we like might be there if we were in thailand lol. The several boys i know at least still surviving, and the few massage shops line acc i follow shows a great selection still. In fact, some shops selection are even better than i saw when thailand is open. Maybe due to covid, more new faces are entering the scene. In the end, all it comes down to me is whether ill have to quarantine in hotel or not is what determines my prospect of going to thailand. Of course, my own country also need to let their citizen to travel overseas freely first.
  23. Its not the watching, but the feeling of someone, somebody else, an instutition, a big corporate, having our personal private data such as your location, where u shop, where u sleep, where u go on vacation. While some of us trust Apple will keep their private data on us safe, we also know that data breached can happened and we also know that police can have access to these data too. Of course there is the possibility of the data being used to streamline ads to your phone etc. As long as they allow u to stop sharing the data whenever u want, and only activate it when u need to, i am fine with it. But air tag function is such that this might not be possible.
  24. I think the logic behind this is that they see the sex workers as victim of exploitation, due to their hardship in life, thus should not be persecuted. The client on the other hand, in a position of power, knowingly break the law, and thus should still be judge by the law.
  25. From my reading, the blod clot due to vaccine are not similar to the typical blod clot that happened in general population which is usually deep vein thrombosis. Blood clot due to the vaccine are the rare kind CVST (brain) and in other location such as stomach, and arteries. Another observation is the low level of platlets. U can google about this, and it seems to link the cause to antibody reaction that clump blood platlets together and caused the clot. Anyway the article below mentioned that the occurance of this type of reaction to antibody is 1 in 250000. Another point about the clot seen due to the vaccine is that it seems to be targetting those who are younger and healthy, mainly women below 50. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-56674796.amp
