Our gov just released a statement regarding infection occured after vaccination amings hospital workers. 9 were infected with less severe covid after 2 weeks receiving the vaccine. Much higher number were reported for less than 2 week of 2nd dose (39) and after receiving 1st dose (142) which is expected. Basically vaccinated hospital workers where SOP were observed very strictly, but of course exposed to the virus at a higher level as well, still can be infected, with less severe symptoms. All hospital workers are taking the 2 dose pfizer-moderna vaccine, cominarty. Over here, all ex-covid patient are required to take antibody test to see their antibody level before getting their vaccine. Based on our own study, those who are asymptomatic only saw their antibody at 20% compared to those with more complication after 8 weeks, while those with mild symptoms at 80-90%. What i heard from someone who shared his experience was that he was required to take antibody test twice within few month apart, and if the level are still high (90% of required level) then he wont need to get the vaccine. I cant find the clear guideline on this yet though.

Im not much of a foodie when travelling as i just eat at a place convenient for me and dont really like to travel far just for food hunting. Mainly due to my vacation is usually short (1-2 weeks maximum) But i always love to try new restaurants back home. Maybe my next trip, i can venture to several of the places mentioned here. I eat all kind of different type of cuisine as long as they taste good lol.

If i read correctly, it says that bangkok now enter red zone, not total closure but alcohol ban and closed by 9pm. I assume this have impact to the gogo bars? Lucky you lol traveling during the time where quarantine is required has its perks. Not so much the case for certain route where there is no quarantine requirement for both departing and arrrival countries.

I agree that mask wearing is crucial, and when u are in the confined space of an airplane, with poor circulation, impossible social distancing for an extended time, its is much more crucial. There has been a few cluster here that were spread in the airport or airplane as those are the only time the infected person in contact with the indeks case, early on during the beginning of covid, where contact tracing is very possible. Wearing N95 >surgical mask > clothing mask > piece of clothes. Either way, all kind of masks will reduce the chances of contracting the virus. Not sure how the situation will be when you are vaccinated though. Id assume we still need to wear mask for a while.

July phuket model seems to be attractive for those who enjoys phuket/island/beach holidays. Longer term visitor will definitely see this a much better option than the current quarantine options. I voted october as well. Pattaya is a much better province to do my 7 days holiday, and going to bangkok after that is easiest. Also, the longest ive travelled before was 2 weeks, so i wont be spending half of that in a place i dont prefer.

Yes, preventative measure works if all follow the rules. Mandatory masks wearing, social distancing. Enforcement requires authority and punishment too. Over here, its the fine is up to rm10000 for individuals, rm50000 for businesses if they are found breaking any of the rules. Road blocks and SOP enforcement now involved army as well. Our cases have been higher due to recent outbreak, where at peak, has been 5k a day new cases, with up to 30+ death a day. These past few weeks has been 1k a day. The second movement restriction here was not really a lockdown as most businesses are allowed to be open as long as they follow SOP.

Wasnt at that price when i took in during high season december hahaha. U cant use current pricing though, even 5 stars hotel are dirt cheap now. But definitely gay friendly with lots of gays staying there when i was there lol.
