What u see in the videos vs whats on offer in bar is very different. the videos only shows those outside the bars, but most of the boys are inside. Go to specific bars fb/ig/twitter and some bar does shows a bit of what u can expect. I believe that very same website also have dedicated page on some bars with more pictures of boys.

Top Places to Retire 2021 for under 2500 USD per Month
spoon replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Excerpt from the link basically says its an opinion index. "Our index is informed by hundreds of opinions and real-life experiences—information—compiled by our trusted sources in the best retirement destinations across the globe. We think of it as a tool for you, our reader. A way for you to quickly compare and contrast your best options and begin to narrow down your choices. We have our people out there pounding the pavement in attractive overseas communities we know you should consider. They’re reporting back to us with insights, and information about what’s really going on. They’re not beholden to relocation service providers or real estate agents or tourism boards or economic development organizations. They work for you. In no way is our Global Retirement Index meant to be a scientific output. It’s designed to be a useful tool for people, constructed out of real-world, on-the-ground information interpreted through a lens of well-informed experience and opinion. Our sources are living in the places where they’re gathering their intelligence. And we trust their judgment. If they say the healthcare is good, or that a meal for two in a nice restaurant costs $20, then we believe them." I personally can vouch that living in malaysia is cheap. Living in vietnam for a year before, it can be cheap as well, if u are willing to eat at local eateries. Thailand is getting more expensive due to their strong baht but there are plenty of cheap option away from major cities for sure. -
Ive just saw a trailer of a new thai lgbtq reality show that sort of similar to the bachelor coming soon called Bromance. The trailer is in IG though, bromanceth

When will Thailand open to Tourists- question/speculation?
spoon replied to floridarob's topic in The Beer Bar
Until current wave calms down, things will continue to look likes the pic. If thai gov managed to bring cases down again, it will open again. Lets hope this is the case and happen soon enough. -
Another reason to still wear mask and social distance is the multiple new variants that seems to be more potent and dangerous, and effectiveness of current vaccines might be less. Basically until majority of population in an area has been vaccinated, itll be wise to maintain the new norm. I was hoping to see some light when phuket model announced but now im not sure if this will still continue. If it did, with phuket fully vaccinated their population, and only vaccinated tourist allowed in, we finally might see if vaccinated person can actually infect others in a somewhat controlled environment.
-
Can you share the link to the studies or public health data that confirmed vaccinated person wont infect others? If so, it is a great news indeed. My poor men googling effort only find this article that says it reduces the chance of transmission but still says infected vaccinated person can still spread the virus. The rest of the articles says they didnt know yet how effective covid vaccines in preventing transmission from infected vaccinated person, thus still recommending vaccinated person to observe SOP. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/yes-vaccines-block-most-transmission-of-covid-19

All i can think of after reading the googled article is that this topic wouldve been a great episode of south park. Lol
-
The point is they want to market their tampon/pad for transmen and allies by saying the current products are gender bias.

More like a marketing campaigns or ads for their period product.

Luckily he is not my type, and im not in thailand. Those who used grindr to find boys are basically inviting strangers to come to their place for sex. I guess if one want to avoid this, bars and massage places are the best option. On the other side of the story, ive known a boy who had been cheated by customer as well, where the customer didnt pay him after the service. He was brought to the door when the customer suddenly said he forgot something, and closed the door on him.
-
The article mentioned drug, so i guess thats one of the trick. Other than that, perhaps some sort of blackmail or violence?
-
I dont feel your comments is pessimistic but rather realistic. But for most here, situation at our country are not much diff either. The major diff is the boys that we like might be there if we were in thailand lol. The several boys i know at least still surviving, and the few massage shops line acc i follow shows a great selection still. In fact, some shops selection are even better than i saw when thailand is open. Maybe due to covid, more new faces are entering the scene. In the end, all it comes down to me is whether ill have to quarantine in hotel or not is what determines my prospect of going to thailand. Of course, my own country also need to let their citizen to travel overseas freely first.

Its not the watching, but the feeling of someone, somebody else, an instutition, a big corporate, having our personal private data such as your location, where u shop, where u sleep, where u go on vacation. While some of us trust Apple will keep their private data on us safe, we also know that data breached can happened and we also know that police can have access to these data too. Of course there is the possibility of the data being used to streamline ads to your phone etc. As long as they allow u to stop sharing the data whenever u want, and only activate it when u need to, i am fine with it. But air tag function is such that this might not be possible.

I think the logic behind this is that they see the sex workers as victim of exploitation, due to their hardship in life, thus should not be persecuted. The client on the other hand, in a position of power, knowingly break the law, and thus should still be judge by the law.

From my reading, the blod clot due to vaccine are not similar to the typical blod clot that happened in general population which is usually deep vein thrombosis. Blood clot due to the vaccine are the rare kind CVST (brain) and in other location such as stomach, and arteries. Another observation is the low level of platlets. U can google about this, and it seems to link the cause to antibody reaction that clump blood platlets together and caused the clot. Anyway the article below mentioned that the occurance of this type of reaction to antibody is 1 in 250000. Another point about the clot seen due to the vaccine is that it seems to be targetting those who are younger and healthy, mainly women below 50. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-56674796.amp

If only these more effective vaccine is produced massively and equally distributed to these countries who have to settle with the less effective option. But of course, those vaccines were hogged by developed countries. I agree totally that anything that pass WHO criteria of 50% effectiveness will still save lives and warrant the usage, especially at a time where we cant afford the luxury of choosing which vaccine we can use. The more concerning issue is vaccine acceptance in some countries where the gov arent bold enough to make it compulsory. Sadly, thats include my country, where the current drive for vaccine registration are 37% only. I wish our gov would just make this compulsory.

The Maldives Plans to Offer COVID-19 Vaccines to Tourists
spoon replied to spoon's topic in The Beer Bar
Ive never been tk maldives but have few friends that went there on a budget trip, staying in the public islands where the locals are staying. The downside is no alcohol and the beach also restrictive on dress code. However, u can always buy day trip passes to some of the resorts to enjoy other part of the islands pristine beaches and resort facilities. I gather for those who wanted to stay there longterm will have to live on the local islands where u can rent by month instead of staying at the private island resorts unless you are in the super rich category. Not sure about prices after covid though, i assume they wouldve reduce the price as well to attract tourists. -
If u read again the histogram, it is recording daily infected HCW from 7th of March, to 15th of April. Within this period, 426 total HCW have been infected. The legend None does not mean not infected, it means they were infected but have not received their vaccine yet, not even 1st dose. Again, within the graph shown, no information of non-infected HCW. The study is trying to see how the vaccine able to reduce infection amongs HCW, and they wanted to show that daily new cases reported amongst HCW are reducing, but Our DG instead focused on the 9 HCW who still got infected after 2 weeks of 2nd dose, at the point where the vaccine provider claim that its has reached peak antibody (immunity) and conclude that even though it reduces the risk of infection, vaccinated person still can get infected and spread them, so SOP must be observed still As i said, total HCW that have been vaccinated nationwide is unknown, but a total of 300k-400k of frontliners ( consist of HCW, police, fire fighter, army, high risks teachers) have been vaccinated up to 15th of April. The total vaccinated HCW is not made known, and although the MOH does report daily vaccinated number, it includes all frontliners and politicians. I wont be fixated on the number too much and only focus on the relative trend shown by the data which in fact shows a dramatic decrease of new cases amongst HCW since vaccination started. I know for a fact that testing have been reduced due to a recent circular when cases have been increasing at a higher pace since last december, where only 20% of close contact will be tested (compared to almost all previously). So number of infected HCW couldve been higher than what is reported. I agree the wording couldve been better, as i believed many are confused with the data shown including the media lol. My explanation make sense to me but i could be wrong too, and the best way to know the real answer is to wait for MOH to answer your question, whenever that is.

Just a warning on brazil cases now, although it seems to be targetting younger people as well. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/apr/16/spreading-faster-hitting-harder-why-young-brazilians-are-dying-of-covid
-
Ok i believe i understand the histogram now. 426 is the total of HCW infected. 140 of them infected after receiving first dose, 31 after second dose, 9 after 2 weeks of 2nd dose. The rest are infected without receiving their first dose yet. The total of vaccinated HCW daily are unknown but i recalled that registered Frontliner were in the region of 300k-400k. So 426 total infected out of total 300k plus (0.00014 max)

The Maldives Plans to Offer COVID-19 Vaccines to Tourists

Yup, my thought exactly. WHO must do their job to point that out but recovery of local economy is something that is equally important to their health as well. We see this already in several countries where despite high cases of daily covid infection, the gov cant afford a lockdown due to economic reason.
