It's a little bit different than that , Thai thinking is not the same as ours. when the mamasan say 'straight' usually mean the guy is a top and wouldn't bottom, he might be straight/gay/bi but for the mamsan point of view it's not relevant. Mamasan usually won't lie and tell you the guy is bottom when he's top only because it might cause a problem between client and the guy offed and would ending by sending him back to the bar without paying .

I am not a fan of massage parlors did it only twice , I just went straight to the guy I wanted and asked him specifically if he is available paid and went to the room with him . Didn't faced any problem .

You should make sure to receive the guy who caught your interest before paying.

I suggest before entering to the taxi to make it clear with the driver to use the Metter, Anyway even with a Metter on if the driver wants to cheat you he'll do it,I remember one time driving to my hotel in silom suddenly the driver took the wrong turn I told him it's the wrong way but he ignored that caused a delay of almost twenty minutes and extra 200 Bht to the normal fare to Silom.

Dark skin in Thailand associated with manual workers and lower class this is why you see so many Thais wearing long shirts and pants even on very hot weather to keep their skin light .dark skin guys in Central and north Thailand tend to suffer from the locals looking down on them but not at south and North East (Isaan) where dark skin is fairly common.

In the past the costs of medical bills in Thailand were very cheap but in the past years increased dramatically, No wonder many gay retirees have returned home because they fear the medical bills here once they fall sick.

Dongtan Beach as gay Beach gone , the gay Beach section in Patong Beach gone, Paradise Complex in Patong and Sunee Plaza in Pattaya reminds ghost towns, what more evidence do you need that the gay clientele in Thailand is not what is used to be ? Unfortunately with the dramatically falling number of gays coming to Thailand there is no financial justification for exclusivey gay hotels anymore , Even Copa and Ambiance at Boyz Town Pattaya are no longer 'gay hotels'.

It's the Thai tendency to order lots kind of dishes to the table and share between all diners it can be justified when the table is full but It's becoming annoying when they are doing it when only you and your local guy are eating when it's clear there is no way you can't eat so much food only the two of you and it's a waste of food. I usually don't allow it and ask him to order a dish or two maximum for each .

It's an inaquraete generalisation , stalls on the street in Thailand are cheap and clean many locals are eating there ,from my experience the stalls with the longer queues are the best .
