I think a discussion about MB rates must be a sharing of experiences. To give others (specially newbies) and idea on what to expect. We don't have to judge each other on what we pay a MB. Some of us might have a bit more to spent than others. Why would that not be oke? Good for the MB! But in general I myself find I very useful to have an idea of the "going rates". General difference between Pattaya and Bangkok. And between different bars (for example Moonlight and Jupiter vs DreamBoy). But in the end its all up to you and the MB on what rate you agree on. And also totally up to you to maybe add some extra tip for outstanding service and performance on top of the agreed rate...

Exactly. If I would pay a boy a drink and he didn't finish his drink yet and were talking for just 5 minutes or so, and another farang would jump in and "steal" the boy's attention I would not pay for the boydrink but let the staff or mamasan put that drink on the other farang his bill...

Were you just in luck? Or did you ask a mamasan for advice and just told them what you were looking for (kissing, bottom)? I have some (luckily not all...) bad expierence with waiters / mamasan advising me which boy will fit my "needs", only resulting in a disappointment back in the hotel room... Do boys in the bars keep same numbers all the time? If so, would be great if anybody can give nrs of kissing bottom boys they had great experience with... Lol

Two weeks ago I booked the Agate for 4 nights in September, still for the discounted 1000 baht per night.... Never stayed there before but I thought a good price for how the hotel looked in the pictures. Happy to read so many positive feedback about the hotel. Happy me.

The bars, or at least some of them, should be open. Few days ago I was chatting with one of the dancers of zag club that is working there now. Also I did see massage places in paradise promoting themselves online, so they should also be (partly?) opened again.

Somehow I never visited Moonlight on my many previous Bkk trips... Reading your report (and some more posts of other contributers in the past) makes me think I should go there on my next trip in September. As I also prefer boys that are a bit on the muscle side (not too thin), so the boys in Moonlight would be a perfect match. I think what stopped me from going to Moonlight before, is that I thought almost no (muscled) bottoms to off there... As I am top only. You confined me to try it anyway... Try my luck. A few months ago I booked my ticket to Thailand for a very good price... Amsterdam to Bangkok in business class with Qatar Airways for about 750 euro each way. So for return I paid around 1500 euro. Fully refundable (lesson learned from covid: you never know what happens...) but because its a discount fare no access to lounges at airport. With prices for flights going up because traveling picking up and fuel prices rising, I'm happy I booked my ticket far in advance...

My last trip to Thailand was in February 2020, just before covid hit the world. Finally going there again, in September. Before covid I was a regular visitor of the kingdom. So I've seen the standard tourist places. I'm having planned almost a full month in Thailand in September. So was looking also for something else to enjoy there than just the boys... Any advise on not-so-knows-but-worth-visiting places to visit in/from Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket are more than welcome! Or you guys always stick to the famous boy-areas in Bangkok and Pattaya...? Hahaha Was looking into visiting Phimai (via Nakhon Ratchasima maybe) and Phanom Rung... But no idea how and from where to get there easily. Anybody been there? Maybe I should find a driver from Bangkok for a few days or something? Or take trains and go for a real adventure?
