Darn it, this thread reminded me to check my rabbit card, I thought it was close to the 7 year expiry and sure enough after checking it expired June this year. Oh well next year I will have to renew it or get a new card altogether.

  14. For my boring answer, the main reason I shop at 7/11 or the old Family Mart was to buy water for when I'm out on my morning walk or later at night if I fancy some icecream. All other snacks (including fruit) and drinks I usually stock up mainly at Foodland or occasionally at Tops, I do like to keep an assortment of them in the room.
  15. Many thanks for that, appreciate it 👍
  16. I like the new site but unless I'm missing something I can't find the mark everything read option that used to be at the bottom right on the forums 🤔

  20. I had the old Zostavax many years back but wish I could have got the Shingrix at that time instead of Zosta, I did get shingles 3 years ago but luckily it was a relative mild case. Just affected an arm and felt like I had burnt myself but was diagnosed as shingles, I will be getting the Shingrix Vax very soon.

  22. I could probably do it in business class (or first) but absolutely no way in cattle class, at the moment 7 hours is more than enough for me. Then again that's Qantas and I would rather walk than fly them or their other mob Jetstar.

  26. You just keep getting it wrong as far as I'm concerned and not even close 😂 You are right on one thing though, I do support the death sentence if it's warranted and in this case it is.

  28. Nope I hate Pauline Hanson and her poxy party and as far as helping him not a chance, he did the crime so he should accept the punishment.
  29. They should put the scumbag up against a wall and shoot him

I did buy a copy of Spartacus from a second hand book shop once but at the time I was a regular traveller to the Philippines (and more straight) but it did spike my curiosity a lot and through that I did discover the hotel I was staying at in Manila was high on their gay friendly list. Of bars, my first gay bar experience was Golden Cock as I had read about the happenings there and wanted to see and experience that myself, I think I read about it on either Dreaded Ned's or Dragoncastle websites. I haven't been to many bars because I prefer daytime activities, hence my love of the massage shops but I do wish Adonis massage was still in business (hot guys with big cocks). I will say the best advice I have found and or been given on the gay scene in Bangkok has come from the members here and it is something I appreciate greatly.

Yeah been a bit of a lag lately.
  33. You would be correct there, it's a nice enough place but because of the expat side of things a place to avoid for gays and or bi guys
  34. For me the answer is yes but maybe a smaller scale of Chiang Mai, definitely not smokey bad air like Chiang Mai (there's no burning season in Baguio) but the down town area does suffer a bit from vehicle exhaust pollution at times. The vehicle pollution is mostly the reason I stay at hotels outside the city centre but it's nowhere near as bad as Manila, the problem down town is that it is the lowest part of the city and hence where it accumulates the most. I will add that it doesn't have the entertainment / bars like Chiang Mai (or Manila and Bangkok) and that has kept a lot of people away (both straight and gay), hence why I think of it as a nice quiet lifestyle away from the rat race.
  35. My choice is Baguio, it's maybe not everyones choice but my reasons for liking it (and dislikes) Yes it's kind of remote (hell, a 5 hour bus ride to Manila isn't that painful) A nice relaxed lifestyle can be had there, for me that is I have found the people up there to be very friendly Rates good on safety Has a good average daily temperature all year long and doesn't get stinking hot* Get out of the city centre and the air is clean and fresh For medical there is a private hospital if a person doesn't fancy the public hospital (or a bus ride to Manila) Makes a good base for travelling around the northern parts of Luzon, also a good base for hiking into the mountains Everything I need is up there The food is fresh and good, most fruit and vegetables are grown locally Dislikes Rain, when it rains it really rains and sometimes for days on end, some rain is ok but seriously it can get a bit much* Has become over populated, it was never meant to have such a big population Along with the population comes the traffic woes, on holidays the traffic can be horrendous as everyone fancies going to Baguio at holiday time and by car I'm currently not there 😮‍💨
