There used to be on upstairs , somewhere at the end of Silom son 3 or 4. It's been a long time. A friend has just asked and I am trying to get information as he is in BKK right now and that sort of bar culture is more to his taste than the host or go go bar style

Although I wouldn’t go there for purposes of finding freelancers, the bartenders and waiters at Midnight Bar (formerly known as Hotmale Beer Bar) on Patpong 2 are friendly and offable.
February 15, 20251 yr Other than DJ station, guys acting like they are free hookups, ultimately looking for money at some point in the relationship/meeting....nothing comes to mind that doesn't require an off fee.... unless you find a street hustler along Silom or near the Palace... BBB in Pattaya in the back bar area used to have freelancers, but that was before apps....

Customers cannot take Dragon & Koi's hosts out while they are on duty, but these boys seem ready and willing to entertain clients by private arrangement on their days off. Although they normally close by 2am, they may stay open if customers linger on busy nights.

February 15, 20251 yr i would have thought Balcony and Telephone/Circus on Soi 4 is the closest thing to what the OPs friend is looking for? The "boy customers" tend to be quite old, but there are definitely some there that are looking to freelance if the opportunity arises
