Yes they are biological brothers from Burma. The similar hairstyle (which is permed not natural) doesn’t help in telling them apart. Second pic is the older brother Amen who has worked at Jupiter since 2018 and used to be one of their best performers. 

He went home at some point over past two years and younger brother showed up this year and replaced Amen in the shows he used to do. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Amen just came back in the last month. I don’t know if he’s reclaimed his spot but he used to be better looking and more charismatic than Junior. I was told Junior is friendly and loves to be invited drinking.

PATTAYA: GENERAL OBSERVATIONS 

Just like many other times I've been to Pattaya, I chose to book the Agate Hotel in the Jomtien complex. The price-quality ratio is simply excellent. And the location is perfect. Close to several gay bars and within walking distance of the (gay) beach. You'll get the best price by booking directly with the hotel. This can make a significant difference compared to booking platforms. If the hotel's own booking tool on the website isn't working, email them. They usually have rooms available.

Nice detail: the bathrooms have a bench in the shower. Handy for lazy queens who like to give blowjobs in the shower but don't want to get down on their knees...

From my hotel room, I have a view of the abandoned parking garage in the Jomtien complex (see photo). Does anyone know if it was ever in use, or what the story behind it is?

Not the most inspiring view, but I also look out directly onto the street inside the complex, so in the evenings you can see how busy it is and what's going on around. The hotel pool is small, but it's always quiet and deserted. Perfect for a few hours of relaxation if you don't feel like going to the beach. There's even a pet squirrel roaming around the pool. It's tame and not afraid of people. It came very close to me and was even bold enough to jump onto the lounge chair I was lying on and look at me curiously.

Just turn on Grindr here, and the messages are guaranteed to pour in. And if the selection of guys on Grindr isn't enough, I recommend using Hornet. Quite a few money boys in Jomtien have been blocked by Grindr because they discovered they were MBs. Advertising yourself for sex for money isn't allowed on Grindr. But via Hornet, it's easier for them to open a new account when this happens. Meanwhile, Grindr has much stricter security. If you're banned, you can't create a new account with the same phone.

As other forum members have noticed, there are quite a few Black guys (some from Madagascar) active on Grindr as moneyboys here. I've encountered quite a few in my grid. See, for example, the guys in the colleague below. Always nice for those who want a change from the Asian guys.

What's also striking is that the price increases implemented by many guys in Bangkok haven't yet filtered down to Pattaya. On Grindr, most moneyboys offer themselves for 2,000 baht, but there are also plenty willing to visit your hotel room for 1,500 or even 1,000 baht. And they're good-looking guys, too. 

Speaking of Grindr: the profile below made me laugh... The photo shows that what you're looking for can sometimes be closer than you think...

I've seen several shows in the complex itself. I've been to the M2M show several times before, and it never disappoints. The performances are full of energy, and the artists radiate joy. A fun night out is guaranteed. This time, too, it was a great time at M2M. I went to The Venue for the first time, but I'm not as impressed with the show there. The performers seem to be disinterested. Twice a week, they put on an extra show with a more erotic twist after their regular show. This special show is actually much more fun than their mail show. The performers seem to enjoy it more, probably because they can rake in a decent amount of tips. The audience sits very close, and as the performers walk through the audience, you can touch them and give them the tickets or tuck them into their clothes. A very touchy-touchy show.

The shows at Best Bar are unfortunately no longer what they were for a short time. They had to cut the erotic segments. That was a really fun part, if I'm to believe those who were lucky enough to experience it. See the photo below for an impression. Oh well. That was once upon a time. Not anymore. Now it's a Thai Dance section and the well-known ladyboy numbers. Not as good as M2M, but in terms of energy and fun, better than The Venue.

That's it for now. I'll write more about further adventures in Pattaya soon, even the exciting ones.

I will be in Pattaya late December after a long time away. Is this a good venue to catch a show or unwind? Boyzboyzboyz has been very aggressive on their social media lately but I don’t know how is the atmosphere now along with the rest of Boystown. For my first night I’m looking for an eye candy entertainment or a good people watching spot first where I can relax and have a drink without being harassed by mamasans.

T25 seems more skewed to the local straight crowd? Is it gay friendly? I will usually come prepared with my own drinking companion but I don’t want to feel out of place either.

I would say T25 is more of the kind of place to bring a few boys for a night out. Perhaps your Boy du jour and some of his friends. After that head in to Sinlapin Issan which opens till 4am if the party mood is still taking you!

Excellent suggestions thank you. “Boy du jour” is from Bangkok and we have a flexible 2 day arrangement while I ease back into Pattaya. He’s a very amenable companion but quiet type so maybe Boystown as first stop to pick up extra company, grade the offerings for the rest of my stay, and then follow your recommendation. Sounds like a perfect first night back.

Does anyone know the present rate in Pattaya for being hired to drink for 4-5 hours?

These two are connected in a way I've been saying for years. Bars should learn from this and should offer fun experiences with personal interactions for affordable fees instead of depending solely on winning the jackpot of getting offs. The price of an off may be too high and the majority-Asian male visitors baulk at the rates. So, the bars try to pull in women -- but they like conversation, drinking and attention (and they spoil the gay vibe of the brand) rather than offing.

For the bars, I have recently mentioned (again) the mystery of why private lap dances are not available as options. And as @vinapu has said, this notion of a fashion-parade-type catwalk with unsmiling models is senseless. It appears to be geared to women though. Psychologically, women feel a bit threatened when men smile at them uninvited, so the "modus operandi" of catwalking has developed this look-into-the-distance style. And Thai-style management simply copies, not known for thinking critically outside the box.

I feel sorry for the boys. The bars' business goals (sell drinks) destroy their livers, yet give them little income. They're really better off working in massage places (where boys can average 3 customers a day at 1,500 - 2,000 baht per customer) than in bars.

Long-time visitors to Bangkok like us may not be put off by such bad branding, but the test is whether newer visitors can feel welcome in such a vibe, and whether the experience is affordable or value for money.

I would suggest 1000 if you off them from the bar to go drinking. 500 if they tag along most of the nigh, are not working somewhere or freelance. 1-200 if they just show up out of the blue on an invite after work and need a few baht for bolt home and some pre-sleep alcohol soakage

Of course as peak high season approaches some BT boys would be hoping for a few offs a night, so may not be willing to leave work for 1000 and prefer to "make Hay when the sun as shining" it all depends on whether the rent is due and they are boys that like to party or those that like to accumulate wealth!

Hasn't this always been their story? "No customers, no offs, no money, many bills to pay..." What would you rather hear? "Hey Mister, you're my third customer of the day. I'm all spermed out but for 2,000 Baht I'll put up with your fat arse for the next hour or so and dream of my girlfriend or the bar girl opposite while going at it?"

They are not only there to sell their bodies but also the illusion that you're their one and only John who's come to "save" them, a tactic that works well with white men who come to Asia with a modicum of guilt and a saviour mentality.
