I did. It's how I was introduced to the scene - in the short time room in Suriwong hotel in that underpass leading to the Moonlight bar

Then you should know that boy chopping should always be reserved for short time rooms, or any other exceptionally messy business

I don’t know if this helps but sign in front of Raya says for short and long term stays, nice rooms friendly staff no pool

Raya is not cheap. For long term stays, airbnb is better option.

likely you are right but for long terms stays they may have an attractive price option, never hurts to investigate

Just to update. I found accomodation in I Residence Hotel Sathorn and I really like it. Rooms even have a desk so you can do some work on computer. Perfect place which is more local and relaxed. Walkable distance to Silom. Food prices are way more cheaper here and no touts to harass you after every 5 meters :)

Is this the one a hop, skip and jump from Chong Nonsi Station? (I believe there is another I-Residence in Suan Phlu, I vaguely recall on the same soi as Prince Massage.)

I have stayed at both, maybe 10 - 15 years ago. I recall that the furnishings and interior of the Chong Nonsi one was rather tired and needed a refresh (and the main reason why I never booked again despite its great location). Can you tell us if this is still the case or if the interior and fittings have been updated?

Ah, I stand corrected. Trust Vinapu to know just about all the hotels in the general vicinity.

The one in Suan Phlu I never went back to because it was rather inconvenient for public transport.

I think vinapu should set up as a travel agent!
