Reminds me wake after funeral on my father's favorite aunt. Started sad, death , funeral , you know the stuff. But as we seat around the table it started to be more and more jolly by the minute. At end everybody got drunk, drunk drivers demolished fence around the house and we are still smiling at recollection of both aunt and wake. Latbear4blk and floridarob 2 Quote

The guy who played the husband died just recently too You can't beat the old British💂🏿♂️ Comedies though , I used to love Steptoe & Son , On the buses , and to a certain extent Love thy Neighbour and my favourite George & Mildred & Man about the house " Steptoe & Son, that must be one of your older personalities! Now that the legalese is out of the way, can't have any lawsuits.... Does that include 2 old queens bickering? In case you've never met olddaddy, those are some big hairy cheeks Best comment 😆 Yet I doubt that will happen. Easy mistake. One does lose track when the character keeps changing. 3 years, Feels like an eternity. Some people mute trolls. Others bring marshmallows. Which are you? I'm just waking up, look at all the action I missed.... Like @vinapu said more or less, tell that to Trump.... who by the way I hope doesn't fuck up my trip to Colombia the end of the month 🤬 Ok, everyone back to your corners and rest. Impressive the way you can cut and paste, and quote, all these comments! Quote
PeterRS Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I suppose in a thread about forum members passing, mention of other old television series they will have loved is not so much of a tangent. We could therefore mention some of the finest from British TV: namely Porridge with Ronnie Barker and the excellent Richard Beckinsale who died far too young aged only 31; Rising Damp with another marvellous ensemble cast including Beckinsale, Leonard Rossiter and Frances de la Tour; the great, unbeatable Fawlty Towers; and then the one that the direction of this thread has seemed most like, although that was in a gentler, less abrasive way, the classic Are You Being Served? I wonder who is playing Mrs Slocombe and who Mr. Humphries? And who owns the pussy? On the other hand, the madness of Monty Python does also spring to mind! TMax 1 Quote

donJ Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago For that reason this site is a treasure, hopefully it lasts as long as possible. I was in HS when Youtube, social media, etc started to take off. The internet was fun then, blogs, forums, websites everywhere. I used to read all sorts, there was this online journal about this gay American guy in Juarez mx, I would read Bill in exile. All these things, I wish I was more participative & reached out to people thru the computer but I was younger & mostly did that with tumblr & more..dating sites lol. Funny how it all came to a head in the teens, & now when you search various questions, about travel, technology, whatever, you'll get things popping up like...Most recent post on this topic, 12 Y ago. Got taken over by easily dissolvable modes like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Worse of all theres so little archive, a lot gets lost. Time marches on 😅 i've never been to Thailand & it's really not my top place of interest, but I look forward to loggin in here a couple times a week to see what I find TMax 1 Quote
