Recently i attended the new Isaan club located on third road near the Sophon market. If you live at My View condo on Soi 17 you probably can hear it from your room. The signage is all in Thai script so i asked about the name of the club and was told "Superstar Esan" and another translation was "Artists of the east". The shed type building is huge and had good air-conditioning although as usual smoking is allowed. I arrived with a large group of mostly Jomtiem Complex bar boys about 100am and left when it closed at 530am. From Gulf Times DOHA - Qatar Airways will launch direct flights to Pattaya, its fifth route to Thailand, due to increasing customer demand, it was announced. The new four times a week service, which starts on January 28, 2018, is in addition to the airline’s existing flights to Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket and soon to be launched, Chiang Mai. Sanitation chief Wasinpat Chimtin on Sept. 15 informed about 50 Jomtien and Pattaya beach chair vendors of the no-alcohol rules during a briefing on the slew of new regulations put in place by the army this summer. In addition to not being able to sell booze, vendors all must wear aprons, must operate their single plot of chairs themselves, cannot sublease to others and must bid for their plot annually in a drawing. From Pattayaone At 3:00am on August 27th, Pattaya police continued the bar raids in Pattaya, this time it was the turn of Oskar Karaoke Bar. Police had earlier received reports from locals in the area who had been having problems with the bar playing loud music well into the early hours from some time now, causing loss of sleep as well as other issues. The man's body (name withheld) was found in the car park by a security guard at View Talay Condominium 5 in tambon Nong Prue of Bang Lamung district. In past trips I've sometimes gotten onto a baht bus and taken the ride down to the Jomtien area for breakfast, even if I'm not staying there. The morning walk along the beach used to be a nice one, although it looks like it's going to be a mess for a while. Tui's and the now-closed Bondi used to be spots I liked to sit, have coffee and breakfast, read the paper and people watch. The Poseidon used to have a nice breakfast, too, but I haven't been there in a long while. Tui's is, I suppose still a going concern. Where do you go for breakfast in the Jomtien area, and why? Pattaya City Council Chairman Anan Ankanawisan and other board members informed the unhappy umbrella dealers of the final rules promulgated on military orders June 1.
