Look at the currently thriving bitch threads! They show why this site, and its contributors -- and its owner/moderator [if any member accuses me of kissing ass there, I will bite his ] -- are so great. Even when we bitch at one another, we do so with gusto, verve, interest & engagement; high wit pretty often here, levels of intelligence that are, more and more, almost never on display at the Other Site (a radical collapse from its glory days a decade-plus ago, under Different Management); and, I think above all, with personal authenticity from each of us, open -- and mutually appreciated -- display of Who We Really Are. There may be big displays of ego -- not, a…

I had written to a couple of guys on Tuesday (five days ago) in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. When I went to look today, the personals section (which disappeared in the US about 6 weeks ago) has been deleted. The story is the same in Rio, London, and every location I checked. I logged into a VPN that would change my location to different locations around the world, and I was not able to access the ads from any location, so it seems that this is a true change, not just IP/country blocking. They also deleted the "therapeutic services" section from the services menu, where you could often find guys advertising for massage. I think guys will still put up ads…

Excerpts from the Center for Aviation Thailand has six low cost airlines operating a combined fleet of 136 aircraft, according the CAPA Fleet Database. LCCs account for 45% of Thailand’s total commercial aircraft fleet and over 60% of the narrowbody fleet. Thailand’s LCC sector has grown rapidly since the first two LCCs, Nok Air and Thai AirAsia, launched in 2004. Growth has particularly accelerated over the past five years, driven partially by the late 2013 launch and rapid expansion of Thai Lion Air. Five years ago, in May-2013, there were only 42 LCC aircraft based in Thailand, including 28 at Thai AirAsia and 14 at Nok Air. Over the past five years the LC…

From Bangkok Post The opening of the 28th overseas Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) office in Toronto is set to spur visits from Canadians, who are some of the top spenders among international tourists. The TAT held the official opening of the office, its third in the Americas, last Monday, adding to the two existing offices in New York and Los Angeles. The new office is aimed at increasing Canadian visitors from 238,000 last year to 500,000 within the next few years. In 2017, Thailand welcomed more than a million visitors from the US for the first time. The TAT is confident that the number of visitors from the Americas will continue to rise, said gove…

50 years later, the Los Angeles Times today does a retrospective of the year 1968. What I remember is the assassinations, the police brutality at the Democratic Convention, the advent of hippies, and the last of the real idealists who supported McCarthy for President. But for Boytoy, why not remember the cute actors pictured in the Times piece? A big movie that year was Romeo and Juliet. Here we see very cute Leonard Whiting... Some might have liked Brahim Hagglag in The Battle of Algiers. Peter O'Toole in The Lion in Winter... Well, okay, there weren't likely any big Asian actors in 1968, but this guy would have won my heart! Manish D…

Rarely am I so disappointed in a place that serves food. But, this place was really bad and the food not edible. It was a night with lots of traffic and out of 4 of us, not one could finish our meal. The chicken was chewy and under cooked. I have eaten at Mega a hundred times but wanted to try a new place. Big mistake on trying this place.

Proponents hail it as progressive step towards legalisation of gay marriage. April 25, 2018 06:00 By The Nation AFTER YEARS of calls by sexual-diversity groups, a new law that would allow registered life partnership for same-sex couples is in the making – with supporters expecting it to be promulgated within the term of the present government. For proponents, the long-awaited legislation is viewed as the first i-mportant step towards legal same-sex marriage in Thailand in the future. Sexual diversity groups have long called for a law that guarantees partnerships between couples of the same sex, as the existing legislation only allows marriages between peo…

From NYTImes This is a story about love and betrayal. Andrea Barone was barely 18 months old when he first set out on the ice, his tiny legs shaking and pushing behind a chair along the cold surface. If, in Montreal, hockey is religion, then this was baptism by ritual, every morning practice, every unsteady drag of his skates drawing him closer to the game he was falling for. “We never had to wake him up in the morning,” Barone’s mother, Beba, said. “If the practice was at 7, he’d be up dressed and ready to go. He just fell in love.” Barone is 28 now, many years removed from those innocent skates under the eye of his father, Remo. Late last summer, du…

Since get-togethers among forum members are the topic ju jour, I was thinking what a hit Oz would have on his hands if he invited us all to Bangkok, where he lives, for a Bangkok Boytoy Weekend! We could all fly over there and pick up a date for the event. Oz could add to it by inviting all of the guys he has hired in Thailand to entertain us. The popular Bangkok street food would do for the eats part. But, you say- Bangkok is too far away! So why not a Brazilian Boytoy Weekend, where Oz would join us in Brazil with all of the garotos he has hired? Still too far away? Okay, in the interests of getting this thing off the ground, I suggest the Boise Boy…

Interesting article in today's Amazon-owned Washington Post on the dilemma facing Amazon as it chooses a new site.
