Sadly, the reports regarding Bobbi Kristina's health aren't any more encouraging. Whitney Houston's daughter was reportedly put into a medically induced coma, after she was found face down in a bathtub full of water on Saturday. She was put on a ventilator and was reportedly in stable condition. Despite that though, there are sources connected with the family saying that the doctors are now telling them Bobbi Kristina has "significantly diminished" brain function, and tests show that it's alarmingly low. Doctors are telling the family that things don't look good, but to keep on praying. As previously reported, the police found no evidence of drug or alcohol abuse in B…

This 54 minute video was recently found, taken in the pre aids era, at NYC's infamous Continental Baths. "In this stunning archival footage, we see what is thought to be Bettes actual farewell appearance at the Baths, the now-iconic relic of a pre-AIDS existence in the late 60s, early 70s. The Continental Baths opened their basement doors in 1968 at the Ansonia Hotel on New York Citys Upper West Side. Owner Steve Ostrow told Bettes acting teacher at the time that he was starting a nightclub in his basement. Bette had recently put together a solid 20 minutes of material, and booked the gig, later revealing that she was unaware at the time that many of the audience memb…

Ben Afflect and Matt Damon wrote a hot gay sex scene for themselves into the original script for Good Will Hunting. Now I don't know about yall but I would have paid double to see a young Ben and Matt getting all nekkid and sweaty with each other and probably gone back for a second and third viewing. Damn, I'm getting a stiffie just thinking about it. Alas it was not to be (but not for the reason you might think). Read all about it and how the male on male horniness got dropped from the final shooting script. "Matt, I know we agreed it would be just that once but..."

World shocked! I really enjoyed this when it first came out https://www.youtube.com/watch?x-yt-ts=1422411861&x-yt-cl=84924572&feature=player_detailpage&v=rkRIbUT6u7Q And this last clip always makes my eyes tear up. It did again tonight. When I was a young un and all wrapped up in Civil Rights and Anti-war stuff, my father told me that if I had grown up in Germany in the 1930's I would have been a Nazi. Took me years to understand what he was trying to tell me.

I hope we don't need to be PC here and can discuss this topic openly. I do a search in NYC on various hookup sites (non-pay) and it seems as if a disproportionate % of the guys who advertise themselves as tops are black or latino and a disproportionately low % is white. Given that blacks are only 12% of the US population at large, but they are well over half the guys who advertise themselves as tops in certain age ranges. I can see a number of explanations but curious to know if others here have noticed the same thing.

Cable news channels pulled out all the stops for their coverage of Monday night's supposedly historic blizzard. But it was clear by Tuesday morning that they'd gone overboard, and no single news personality was singled out for derision more than CNN's Don Lemon. Over the course of CNN's late-night coverage, weather experts repeatedly noted that New York City could be spared the worst of the storm and may see far less snow accumulation than the approximately two feet originally predicted. Still, Lemon rode through the largely deserted streets of the city in what the channel a "Blizzardmobile." He repeatedly noted that any non-emergency vehicle driving on the street in Ne…

January 24, 2015 -- Winston Churchill, who died 50 years ago today, once said, “For my part, I consider that it will be found much better by all parties to leave the past to history, especially as I propose to write that history myself.” Mission accomplished. 1. "I like pigs. Cats look down on you; dogs look up to you; but pigs treat you like an equal." —Recounted by Churchill’s former secretary Anthony Montague Browne. * 2. "We have not journeyed all this way across the centuries, across the oceans, across the mountains, across the prairies, because we are made of sugar candy." —To the Canadian House of Commons, December 30 1941 * 3. "History with its flickering lamp s…

12 Predictions for the Year 2000 from a 19th-Century German Chocolate Company Hannah Keyser Image credit: Wikimedia Commons Right around the same time that French postcards were predicting lots of aerial and aquatic activities in the year 2000 as part of the 1900 Paris World's Fair, a German chocolate company decided to get in on the future-telling business with a crafty marketing campaign. For a short time, Theodore Hildebrand and Son chocolate company slipped colorful cards depicting theoretical life in the year 2000 into boxes of their sweets. Altogether, 12 such cards were produced, predicting how a range of activities would get upgraded for the 21st Centu…

Where are all the good Christians here??? The former Atlanta fire chief, who was dismissed by the city’s mayor this month after writing a book in which he said homosexuality is “vile,” has filed a federal discrimination complaint against the city in a case that is testing the issue of religious expression in the workplace and mobilizing Christian conservatives to his defense. Kelvin Cochran, the ousted chief and a deacon of Elizabeth Baptist Church in southwest Atlanta, filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, accusing the city of violating Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which protects against religious discrimination. Cochran claims…
