Saudi Journalist Sentenced to 60 Lashes From Mohammed Jamjoom, CNN October 24, 2009 (CNN) -- A Saudi court sentenced a female journalist Saturday to 60 lashes for her work on a controversial Arabic-language TV show that aired an episode in which a man bragged about his sex life, two sources told CNN. The court in Jeddah also imposed a two-year travel ban on Rosanna Al-Yami, according to a Saudi Information Ministry official, who could not be named because he is not authorized to speak to the media. The ban prevents her from traveling outside Saudi Arabia. This official identified Al-Yami as a fixer, who helps journalists obtain stories, and a coordinat…

Much of the news last week involved the untimely death at the age of 33 of Boyzone singer and openly gay Stephen Gately. Passions in Britain have been inflamed by an article in a tabloid national newspaper, The Daily Mail. Under the heading "Why there was nothing 'natural' about Stephen Gately's death" journalist Jan Moir suggests that his death was not a result of natural causes, as found by the coroner, but more by his leading a gay lifestyle. Referring to the fact that Gately and his long-time partner has been clubbing before returning home with a young Bulgarian on the night he died, she hits out at the idea that gay civil partnerships have the commitment gay activist…

TV Funny Man Soupy Sales Dies at 83 October 23, 2009 (CNN) -- Soupy Sales, a comedian from the golden era of television, died Thursday. He was 83. The funny man seen many times on popular game shows died at a New York hospice, said Paul Dver, Sales' longtime friend and manager. "We have lost a comedy American icon," Dver said. "I feel the personal loss, and I also feel the magic that he had around him being gone. That's a much more severe loss than a loss of a friend." Sales was known for his long-running children's show "Lunch With Soupy Sales," which started in 1953 and began his trademark slapstick pie-throwing antics. The comedy show featured…

So, is this what it is coming to in America? Even for youth. Read on, and thank your lucky stars that you are in paradise. Any advice for this young loser? In summary, the police arrested Patrick Lawrence, 22 year old white male, in a pumpkin patch 11:38 p.m. on Friday night. On Monday, at the Gwinnett County (GA) courthouse, Lawrence was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, public indecency, and public intoxication. The suspect explained that as he was passing a pumpkin patch on his way home from a drinking session when he decided to stop, 'You know how a pumpkin is soft and squishy inside, and there was no one around for miles or at least I …

Just relaxing this evening and thinking about mainstream television commercials. When I was young everybody was all white and culture perfect if you are Hitler. Then blacks were slowly accepted in mainstream commercials. After a long battle we now see commercials that actually target the black consumers. Next up Latinos. Same path as blacks ... started off slow now commercials target the Latin culture. To a lessor extent we can see the same for Asians. However, not gays. I cannot think of a single commercial that featured a gay character that was also aimed at the gay population on mainstream tv. Our outh culture hass been coming out in huge numbers our celebritie…

How is your mental health? Do you get depressed, how do you cope with this? Do some of you live alone in a country outside Thailand, how do you cope with this,do you get lonely or do you keep busy? Importantly as physical health is your mental health and how you view life, sure, everyone has their down days, its only if it gets to be a normal occurance then it becomes depression, and,i saw a lot of expats in Pattaya who had symptoms of depression. Well i did start to get a little depressed even when i was in Thailand, for reasons i couldnt understand, even my own Dr thought it would be better on medication ,just for a while he said,i decided not to take it. i sta…

A new AIDS vaccine tested on more than 16,000 volunteers in Thailand has protected a significant minority against infection, the first time any vaccine against the disease has even partly succeeded in a clinical trial. Scientists said they were delighted but puzzled by the result. The vaccine — a combination of two genetically engineered vaccines, neither of which had worked before in humans — protected too few people to be declared an unqualified success. And the researchers do not know why it worked. “I don’t want to use a word like ‘breakthrough,’ but I don’t think there’s any doubt that this is a very important result,â€ said Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, d…

After a one day closure, Daddy has reopened the message center at his website. Additionally, he apologized to purplekow, explained himself on the Tommy deLuca thread, extended an olive branch to Epigonos, and responded to my commentary by clarifying his policy on showing dick. For me, that's some progress. I was allowed to make my point that I didn't like the closure, and hopefully it will be the last one. I do not expect perfection, but I do admire progress. Both this site and his exist because a sufficient number of us admire escorts. Hopefully, we can now focus on that topic.

A little History first! It was early 2001 and I was looking for a gay friendly place to go on vacation with my BF at the time. we had gotten into taking each other on trips for our birthdays and Xmas and had done Hawaii, Mexico, London, etc, and so I googled Gay Brazil. One of the links that came up was Trilingual's original sauna review post on Hooboy's site about Brazil. At that point I had never even known there were escort sites or review sites and sure as hell didn't know about rentboy saunas! We got to Rio and couple of hours later stumbled on Roger's sauna, no mapquest back than...and being a fast learner...the rest is history! lol I started posting late 2…

Stayed at the Marriott Marquis for 5 nights. While staying in Times Square is fun and convenient for attending shows I do not think I would do it again as it is just a little too crazy. Saw Royal Family(great old fashioned comedy done perfectly),HAIR(amazing-I think the best thing I saw),Wishful Drinking(really enjoyable but don't pay full price),Finnian…

Saw in the Bangkok Post today that Les Ballets Trocadero de Monte Carlo (commonly known as 'The Trocks') will be returning to Bangkok for 2 performances on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October. For those who have not seen them, they have nothing to do with Monte Carlo. They are mostly Americans based in New York. But the all-male ensemble are all top-notch ballet dancers who take the mickey out of the great classics. Their programmes offer wonderful entertainment. Performances are at the Thailand Cultural Centre at 7:30 pm. Tickets from around Bt. 1,000 to Bt. 2,500 go on sale at Thaiticketmajor from Wednesday 1st July. Believe me, they'll sell out fast! Also notic…

LOS ANGELES — There are more marijuana stores here than public schools. Signs emblazoned with cannabis plants or green crosses sit next to dry cleaners, gas stations and restaurants. The dispensaries range from Hollywood-day-spa fabulous to shoddy-looking storefronts with hand-painted billboards. Absolute Herbal Pain Solutions, Grateful Meds, Farmacopeia Organica. Cannabis advocates claim that more than 800 dispensaries have sprouted here since 2002; some law enforcement officials say it is closer to 1,000. Whatever the real number, everyone agrees it is too high. And so this, too, is taken for granted: Crackdowns on cannabis clubs will soon come in this city, which ha…

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- An all-male college in Atlanta, Georgia, has banned the wearing of women's clothes, makeup, high heels and purses as part of a new crackdown on what the institution calls inappropriate attire. William Bynum says he discussed the new dress-wearing ban policy with Morehouse's campus gay organization. No dress-wearing is part of a larger dress code launched this week that Morehouse College is calling its "Appropriate Attire Policy." The policy also bans wearing hats in buildings, pajamas in public, do-rags, sagging pants, sunglasses in class and walking barefoot on campus. However, it is the ban on cross-dressing that has brought national attent…

We found spots offering good health care, culture and affordability. Forbes cannot promise retirees "paradise on $30 a day." Quite the opposite. We promise seniors wishing to move out of the U.S. that they will not find paradise anywhere. Each country is unique--with assets and liabilities--and the key to successful retirement as an ex-pat is carefully matching your own personal priorities and finances to the country that has caught your eye. To help matters along, Forbes has compiled its own list of the 10 best retirement havens, based on a wide variety of criteria ranging from safety to retiree-friendly visa requirements to decent medical care. The countries on our hi…

Personal gossip is fun but has no place in an escort forum where reputations and business careers can be unfairly damanged. Fundamental to the escort business are the precepts of confidentiality and personal privacy for both clients and escorts. We strive protect those precepts. We won't lend this site as a forum for anyone with an agenda against individuals whether the facts are based on truth or falsehood. The thread regarding alleged personal problems of an escort member has been taken down because the thread violated site privacy policy by linking to alledged personal identification information. In addition, the alleged problem pertains to personal issues, not bus…
