If you are a follower of the Gay Thailand forum, you have probably read some of my posts about an upcoming trip to Cambodia in September. For those of you who have visited before, I have several questions: 1. Can you recommend a car service from the airport in Siem Reap that can be reserved in advance to take you into the city? Cam is planning to meet me in Siem Reap, but he will be on a motorbike and that just isn't practical for picking me up at the airport considering I will have two large suitcases. Our plan is to just meet at the Airbnb (condo) instead, so I need to arrange for translation from the airport to the condo. 2. I need to apply for the reti…

Hello. Am considering visiting PP. Aside from sightseeing, am looking to taste the local boys. Have looked at posts here, there seem to be several massage places: Ah Ram, Chanak, Boran, Aroma, Ganesh, Hatha. Was wondering if anyone can give more updated reviews of these places. Am looking more for penetrative action. Would that be something I could openly discuss with the establisments? And what's the going rates? Alternatively, are moneyboys from dating apps safe? Is grindr still the most popular app there? And again, what's the going rate? Appreciate any info!

Hi all. Currently planning for an upcoming trip to SR and browsing hotels. Viroth's Hotel seems to be favourably mentioned and I am also curious about Men's resort - does it have the same kind of vibe as Arthur and Paul in PP? Any other hotels I should check out? Cheers!

I have an upcoming 2 week trip to Cambodia at the end of July. I had planned to use my Wise card, but just found out that the USA issued wise card is not supported in Cambodia. May I ask what ways you all have handled the money issue when visiting. I was hoping not to travel with a lot of cash in my pocket as I will be traveling around the Philippines before heading to Cambodia. Thank you!

I lived there for the last 6 months. I’m exhausted from this gay crowd. Is it me or is it a little bit toxic? Fell for someone who then decided he was a money boy and needed quite a lot of cash. He owned a bar and a car and bought his parents house seemingly but only had $100 to his name suddenly. Anyway that didn’t work out but other guys I met didn’t want to be scene with a barang in public, only the gay bars, and no one there is interested in using condoms. Crazy. I wish these guys would be upfront about being money boys. I had a fling with a 40 year old guy, quite out of shape etc who then wanted money in the morning after the deed was done. All really off puttin…

After many years I went to Cambodia again in between two weeks Bangkok. Here are the links to the posts about Siem Reap and Phnom Penh in my trip report in the Thailand section of this forum : https://www.gayguides.com/topic/78603-march-2026-trip-thailand-cambodia/page/3/#findComment-503385

I stayed at a gay hotel - Arthur & Paul. A really boutique hotel with only 5 rooms. It's not "gay friendly"; it's gay: rooms have names of masculine pairs; decorative nudes; an immaculate gay sauna, including jaccuzzi and private cubicles; and 6 handsome youngsters doubling as staff and massuers. Indeed, the bellboy who led me to my room offered himself almost explicitly (too efiminate for my taste). I hadn't settled down yet, and a grindr msg appeared from another hotel massuer. He offered himself, explaining massage costs $20 (to hotel), and if there is any sexual activity - additional 20 to him. He also answered that he doesnt suck (my favorite HE). …

Looking into short side-trip next month when I booked to go to Bangkok. My holiday will be 3 weeks, starting and ending with about 5 days Bangkok. But for the week in between my Bangkok days I am looking to go somewhere else. Probably going to Kuala Lumpur and Malacca for few nights, and still have few nights (only 3) left in my itinerary. So... for these 3 nights... If you had to choose between spending them in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh? What would you choose and why? I've been to both places before, so I've visited the hotspots in both cities. In doubt about where to stay for the best vibe, availability of boys, etc etc for this short visit. Trip report of @roug…

Submissive Older White Travellers for Submissive Local Bottoms 😆 Came across this on Facebook and thought it was funny. Has this been the experience of those of you who stayed at A&P?

Brief. PP Day One: Checked in to my hotel. Opened Grindr and Hornet. Hornet had a few men but I realized most were visitors from Thailand. Grindr I didn't have the same response as I did last year. Much less interest. It's the same story as last year. Everyone is using fake photos. If you are interested and show it, you might be surprised to receive a photo of an older, out of shape man. Drug use has also skyrocketted? Why is everyone asking if I want to inject? I don't recall this from last year. Anyway, I take a gamble and invite a guy over. He's short, very thin, good size dick, uncut. He's a top. He comes over, the sex is okay, but what's nice is that he spends t…

I traveled here via Athens, Abu Dhabi then a few dsys near KL. in PP Im staying at Artgur and Paul (excellent choice, btw) and a guy at pool recommended a bar "Asia Cam Bar" about a mile away. The crowd was youngish, mixture of a few foreigners and a few 20 ish muscle types and some very, very 'me' twinks. I suspect some of the locals were looking for money, but it seemed non commercial. The music not so loud I chatted with a visiting Oz guy over a few Stoli martinis, made per instruction. A brought a slim, hopelessly cute twink back. He turned out to be a most enthusiastic, well equipped top. We parted company after a dreamy long cuddle …

Please be mindful of donating to gay bar owners for the current Cambodia and Thailand conflict. Some are very transparent with how the money is spent and some are very much the opposite. I won’t name names but just please be careful so that any money you do donate makes it to the people who need it. This is Phnom Penh based.

Hi, checked out Hatha Khmer massage last night. I've seen so-so reviews of the massages there, but another site's review suggested the type of guy there may be more to my liking. When the proprietor opened the curtain there about a dozen guys jumping around, but I only saw one. He had a beard, older and nice looking. The manager confirmed he's a top. What followed was one of the best experiences I can remember. That's not necessarily a big deal as my experiences have been limited. But still. This trip has been incredible. I chose the only guy with facial hair at the Banana spa in Bali, at Arena in BKK and now here in PP and they've all been wonderful. PS One learned less…

Massage Spots Ah Ram Massage Not much buzz about this place on this forum, but it delivers on the essentials. Solid selection of boys, mostly twunks with a touch of variety and decent massage skills. It’s clear, though, that the real emphasis is on extras. Rooms are large, private, and all en suite, which adds comfort to the overall experience. Quietly reliable. A&P (Arthur & Paul Hotel) Undisputed highlight. Located within the boutique Arthur & Paul hotel, this is where you go for an actual massage that also happens to be sensual and beautifully done. Fewer boys to choose from, mostly lean twunks, but all high calibre. Upscale, clean, and …

So, apologies in advance for the lack of sexy bits in this trip report. It’s more about my encounters with an upwardly mobile Cambodian extended family, and their incredible kindness towards me on my trip. ( I do finally get to visit SpaceHair at the end) So some background, I’m 60, been following the various thai forums off and on for 20 years and always dreamed about moving to thailand, but life got in the way, and this is my first trip to Asia. I live and work in an extremely multicultural area of Southern California and one of my colleagues is Nat, 43, straight guy from Cambodia who has become a good friend. Nat moved to the USA about 8 years ago, and subseq…

From Khmer Times Artist's impression courtesy of Ministry of Information Stretching 151.6 kilometers from the Bassac River near Phnom Penh to the coastal province of Kep, the canal will create a new inland waterway-maritime corridor capable of handling vessels up to 3,000 deadweight tons (DWT). The project will involve canal excavation, construction of ship locks and supporting navigation and logistics infrastructure. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/501671800/cambodia-china-sign-1-2-billion-deal-for-funan-techo-canal-project/

Recently completed my first trip to Cambodia. I absolutely loved it, so here are a few highlights, starting with 6 days in Siem Reap. I traveled over land from Bangkok by train to Aranya Prathet. The train is 3rd class only, so it was a warm and dusty affair, but really cheap. I forgot the exact price, but less than 100 baht for the train ticket. There are two trains a day - one early morning and one around 1 pm. Train departs from the old Bangkok Central Station and is scheduled to take 4,5 hours, but I was warned that there were often delays. I was on the afternoon train and it was only about an hour late, so I had time to cross the border at Poi Pet before …

From Phnom Penh Posr Cambodia is set to mark a significant milestone in its aviation sector with the launch of Techo International Airport (TIA) in July 2025. Designed as both a major passenger gateway and a strategic cargo hub, the airport is poised to enhance the country’s connectivity and economic growth. Located about 20 kilometers south of Phnom Penh in Kandal and Takeo provinces, the 2,600-hectare facility — developed through a $1.5 billion investment — aims to position Cambodia as a key logistics and aviation hub in Southeast Asia. Cambodia is set to mark a significant milestone in its aviation sector with the launch of Techo Interna…

From Associated Press BY SOPHENG CHEANG PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) — Archaeologists in Cambodia are celebrating an unexpected find at the country’s centuries-old Angkor temple complex: the torso of a statue of Buddha that matches a head found nearly a century ago at the same site. The torso, believed to be from the 12th or 13th century, was discovered during a dig by a team of Cambodian and Indian experts last month at Angkor’s Ta Prohm temple. It was found along with 29 fragments that appeared to be part of the same statue, archaeologist Neth Simon said this week. It stands at 1.16 meters (3 3/4 feet) tall and is in th…
