Looking forward to your daily update and hopefully you are not going to write the episodes only after you return to your home country. Looking for updates on bars, massage joints in particular.
I am booked up to go to Bangkok in two weeks time but I might not eventually be going - can always reschedule.

There are still limitations in the Taiwanese law. Dont assume you can just go to Taiwan and get married there.

If you don't wish to stand in line for a Baht Bus, just walk a bit further down the line and ask one of the empty baht bus drivers to take you to Jomtien. Cost is 200 Baht for the bus. Or take a motorbike taxi for 80 Baht/person.
Fully agree. You can just walk to the mouth of the soi and ask for an empty bus for 200 B. That was what I did when I stayed in Jomtien. I do not take motorcycles since a while ago; an accident after some drinks seems to be a very likely scenario nowadays so wont risk any more.

Interesting experience by a447. But I thought generally tips are not expected in Hong Kong.
Granted bellboys do expect small tips but certainly not in restaurants, (proper) bars, am I wrong?
Of course nobody would be offended if you offer a tip.

Agree the boys there are handsome. But not pretty enough for me (hence my preference for twinks). A lot of them can appear on front page of porn magazines. I just do not have enough 'feel' for them therefore my patronage has been limited.

Btw, ill be arriving in bkk at night around 10pm or so and thinking to head to the bars, i guess my only chance for a show would be screwboys? But its on a Wednesday night, so the 1am show might not happen right? Any other options? Is new screwboys is the same screwboys everyone here is talking about?
Nowadays I am not really uptodate with Soi Twilight activities; but thought X-size had a show at midnight (hotmale as well)? You might be able to catch the show if your flight arrives on time. Never quite liked the show at Screwboys - but that's just me.

Wanted to add that I have travelled to Thailand in all the seasons / months (well over a few dozens over the last 15 years or so) and only learned that you ve better avoid Thailand religious days (as some bars are closed ... officially anyway) plus Songkran for me.

I was (and still am) in a similar situation and never bumped into anyone I know that makes difference (not that I am aware of anyway). I suppose people around me probably figure it out already by now (but I am not giving them the confirmation).Now I am used to it.

Thought Nice Boys deserves its own thread. Maybe this is a repeat.
Whenever I come to Pattaya I like to visit Nice Boys perhaps around 9.30 pm each night for an hour or so.
I like the naked flesh and 'cocks on display' part of the joint.
Occasionally some punters would offer a prize for whoever jacks off and comes first, which can be fun to watch (but not too much) and I typically do not contribute to the funds.

Pattaya - Toyboys is usually my favourite but I found them listless. went to cupidol and the lads were much more engaging. took a beautiful boy who turned out to be a superstar to me. had him 3 days and nights. Also took him Nab with excess whiskey drunk but great fun. 4.30am finish is damn late for me.
Excellent report. Do you still remember the number/name of the superstar?

If you are looking for 5 star hotel in Silom area, both Le Meridien Bangkok on Surawong and Crowne Plaza are well known for joiner free.
Did you mean no joiner fee?
Crown Plaza is kind of a hassle, one needs to 'make a transit' on floor 23(?) which could be problematic for the shy. Not sure CP is considered 5 star; certainly the property on Rama 4 is tired.

I looking for a proper hotel that I can go with straight friends.
Understand the need for a 'proper' hotel. Try Holiday Inn brands, there are quite a few around town, not expensive generally.
A few Marriots as well but have no personal experience bringing in guests. LeMeridien at Surawong is also a good, newish hotel; did not check the price this time of the year though.

2002 was about my first vacation trip to Pattaya (and Bangkok) as a sex tourist (as they say).
Still could remember that I paid a tip of 1500 bht in a massage shop (Narcissus?). So not really different from today's rate.
800 bht was excessive for LT ? I am surprised.
These arguments have been going on for many years before Internet forums in fact. I remember during my first trip to Pattaya in 2002 being chastised when in a Sunee host bar when asked how much I was paying a boy for a long time off. When I replied 800 he said that it was far too much and that I was spoiling the boys. This was when I was getting about 70 baht for a £ !.

Well - following the popular request - I am not really tuned to writing trip reports

Arrived 9th August for my second trip to Thailand this year. Liked the fact that masks are no longer mandated (almost) everywhere. Many people are wearing them anyway; nearly 100% (minus me) wear masks on BTS.
I read the forum posts and thought I could use Senso and report back whether it is indeed open for business.
Went to Senso 4.30 pm ish. There were 3 or 4 masseurs available. In fact none of them appealed a great deal to me lol (I knew our tastes vary). I ended up choosing someone anyway who led me to a room on 4th (?) storey (why they need to arrange a room so high up; not that I have a problem climbing up those stairs).
The room and bed was spacious as I remembered from the pre-covid days. The boy didn't really know much of a massage but was eager to please and having a proper attitude in my words.
One hour massage: 1100 b for the house and 1200 b min tip for the boy.
