1/ we got ripped off,  overpaying twice, ouch  !
2/ we got what we wanted for 1/5 of home value. Halleluiah !

Thai transgender beauty queen Kantong Passarapon attends the annual conscription event

The South China Morning Post noted that Kerayuphan and Passarapon, both 21, attended the annual conscription event, held from April 1-12 this year, with the necessary certificates to seek exemption from military service.
Their eye-catching presence at the recruitment center provoked a range of reactions online.
"It feels like a beauty pageant rather than a conscription lottery site," one Instagram user remarked.
"As a woman, I have a feeling of inferiority," another expressed.
A student at Sripatum University in Bangkok and a campus ambassador, Kerayuphan has over 115,000 followers on Instagram.
Endearingly referred to as the "Thai Bay Angel" by her admirers, Passarapon boasts an impressive record with approximately 100 pageant titles to her credit. She is currently studying at Suan Dusit University, as reported by Thaiger.
According to Thai legal regulations, all men aged 21 are obligated to serve in the military, with a possible two-year service term if selected by a lottery during the conscription period. To determine their service obligation, eligible individuals draw cards from an opaque box – a red card signifies enlistment, while a black card means exemption.
This year, the Thai army sought to enlist 40,000 of the 85,000 soldiers needed through this lottery system.
Transgender women are eligible to request an exemption from military service by presenting a certificate of gender reassignment surgery, although they must still appear on the draft day.

I woke up with a bit of a panic attack, realizing that the reason I initially opted for a short time is that I have an online work meeting scheduled for that morning. I sprinted out of bed, made my best effort to look human, pumped caffeine into my system, and managed to be in front of my laptop with a few minutes to spare.
Everything was smooth sailing, with the only exception being that I kept getting distracted by the view of a gorgeous man lying on my bed, partially wrapped in a blanket. For a moment, Tan woke up, tried to get up, but when he saw what I was doing, he looked at me, smiled, and decided to continue his slumber. This is just so surreal for me.
After that mad morning dash, I was ready to relax and retire back to bed. Tan, thinking I was waking him up, wrapped his arms around me, requesting a few more minutes, which I was happy to oblige. I think we slept for a good hour, as when we managed to go get breakfast, the buffet looked sad and deserted, so we decided to venture out.
I think overall, hiring Tan was a good choice. Aside from his good looks and engaging personality, his English is reasonably okay, allowing us to have a conversation. While having coffee, I was already shuddering at the thought of climbing down and was wondering how such structures could be granted consent - a question I answered myself: this is Thailand!
After basically rappelling down the stairs, I was finally off to my rendezvous with Singha. Mr. S (the boss) also sent me a Line message, telling me to send him a message if I'm dissatisfied or if the masseur asked for more tip. I found this very reassuring, although I hoped the handsome Mr. S himself would do the massage!
Upon entering, everything flowed like clockwork: drawing the privacy curtain, getting tea served, Singha removing my shoes and replacing them with indoor sandals. While I was enjoying my tea, he returned with a selection of oils and asked me to choose which one I preferred. While I didn't really care about oils, etc., I thought of going with the flow and sampled a couple before making my choice.

A few minutes later, I could see why; his strokes were really good and robust, the type that you know will leave you sore (in a good way) the next day. As requested, he focused on my back and glutes, and it was heavenly.
Then he climbed onto the massage bed and started doing a body-to-body massage. He then asked me to lie on my back and continued massaging with him on top of me. He kissed very passionately, and I got flustered every time he made eye contact, flashing his mischievous smile. I managed to work my way out, and with me on top, I took time to run my hands and enjoy his gorgeous body. We took turns, careful not to fall from the massage bed. when come  to noise level Jupiter along with Sol and XBoyx Pattaya are three worst bars and also they have tendency to put AC too low so there's taste of arctic in soi 4. Esthetics of admiring handsome boys in big part compensates for those deficiencies.
You correctly noticed Jupiter way - boys seem to be disinterested but as soon as you invite them to seat with you all of the sudden that become , so to speak, normal and friendly.

300 baht fee  will end up in general revenue and will not deter too many from coming.
But that surge in arrivals was sudden and met country unprepared here and there seems to be real. Few people reported that they may be 2-3 hours wait for next bus to Pattaya from Swampy, It was rarely a case pre-covid. 

Not really on topic, but I am in New York,  and yellow cabs are significantly cheaper  than Uber. Odd, I thought.

Weird, I have nothing but great experiences booking with LINE. I usually message around noon and they get back to me shortly, reservations are quick and seamless. But I don’t ask many questions, simply say “I would like to book <service> with <masseur name> on <day and time>, is this available?”
