  1. Not really my type at all, but would suggest usualy some in most bars (excluding Tawan and probably Jupitor in Bangkok!) but your best bet is perhaps in Bangkok Classic Boys & Fresh Boys on Soi Twighlight and in Pattaya certainly some in all the Go Go bars, Toy Boys always a good mixture of boys, and I think for more twinks perhaps try Vassa Bar, any of them on Pattayaland Soi one, Nice Boys and Eros in Sunee (but check ID for age) In addition the beer bars in any of the three gay areas and for that you might also enjoy a wander arround the Jomtian complex where most of the hosts in the bars are more the twink type.
  2. Hi Captainmick I am always really nervous about any negitivity when I bring a boy back, since my first ever visit when I stayed at the Holiday Inn - Silom and it became a nightmare every night, trying to "dodge" security in the loby or being escourted to reception like some naughty school kid to pay from memory 500 Baht! So since then I always pick the Gay hotels and have often stayed at Baan Souy - which I like, Samsuk once but the rooms were not great, Cafe Royal and also Ambiance often but no pool. You mention you rate M Gallary - is there no issue at all in brining a boy back and do they check ID? Has anyone any other suggestions for decent hotels not too far from Boys town with a pool that whilst dont need be mainly "gay only" such as those I have mentioned but at least "gay friendly" with no issue in bringing a boy back and posibly haveing one staying with you for a while?
  3. Well so far as the dog in Pattaya was concerned, not certain if it was a guard dog or stray, it just lunged towards me and bit/dug its lovely teeth in - but shit happens! So just over half way through this holiday I was off to Bangkok, I went up with a friend that used to work at BBB he (did the fronting with the flag on the outside line up) and arrived at Tarntawan Place which whilst a bit dated and no pool I feel the friendliness still makes up for. I initially popped out to the Bangkok Christian Hospital for my next Rabies vaccination, only to find they didn't stock the same variety (mine was apparently new and made from Horse serum!) so eventually they advised me that Samitivej hospital did stock the same vaccine so a long motorbike taxi ride over there - where after lots of checks I eventually got my next injection - with subsequent daily visits over there for checks, dressing the wound and eventually injection. Hopefully no one reading this will need to use a hospital in Bangkok but I couldn't really fault the friendliness or apparent efficiency of Samitivej, just a shit location if your staying at Tarntawan Place! So after all that messing about first night in Bangkok was a few beers at Hotmale terrace with my friend from Pattaya, then the Balcony, game of pool nearby and dinner at Maxis - they currently have an offer of buy two bottles of wine for only a little more than the price of one bringing it nearer to UK prices which I agreed to, great meal and service - but just wondered with no receipt if my second bottle of wine would be available when I returned! My friend headed back to Pattaya on Monday morning, was sad to say goodbye but also felt a little bit free! An easy day so a trip to Samitivej hospital then some bars in the evening meeting a friend who used to work in Hotmale beer bar, a few drinks there and at the balcony and then dinner at an excellent German Restaurant on Soi 4, the owner has only just opened the place used to have a smaller restaurant on Phat pong 2 - it is the only German Restaurant on Soi 4on the RHS as you walk down and well worth a visit if you fancy and alternative to the Thai food, all be it they also do that which my friend appeared to enjoy! Tuesday I chose to avoid a return trio to Samitivej hospital and just had a wander down to Prince massage - this place is great in terms of a very good selection of boys and really comfortable more high end individual rooms, well worth a visit. In the evening I checked some bars for the first time on this trip in Bangkok, normally my first night so was eager.... Tawan Bar - well a great Jupiter - OK but the front row was monopolised by a tour group of Japanese women which was a bit off putting X Boys - a fair selection including a couple with fairly ripped bodies but the mamasan lady boy who has worked there for years and thinks we are best of friends was a little bit in my face! So I eventually returned to Tawan Bar and offed a great guy and enjoyed a very please evening. Wednesday - quick trip to Samitivej hospital for them to check and treat me and gain a few more Thai Bht's from me (or hopefully ultimately my insurance company!) then back on the Sky train to V Club 7 - at about 3pm only about 8 - 10 guys available but still a good selection and I was happy! headed back to hotel and then the bars. I had an early dinner at Dicks - then checked out Boys Bangkok, nothing exciting but probably about 30 boys, then fresh boys which had a limited selection and hotmale upstairs had a decent selection but nothing that appealed to me in hotmale but that was my choice - to be fair I always find the mamasan lady boy by there very helpful, friendly and not pushy. So back to Tawan and had a very pleasant eventing for the second night with a boy from there including a bit of dinner at Maxis and despite any fears I may have had as soon as I sat down the bottle of wine previously purchased was served and couldn't fault it. Thursday - well my next injection at Samitivej then on too Hero which is not that far away, as par my earlier post probably about 30 + boys at say 4pm in the afternoon, most are on the more muscular side and whilst the rooms are a bit more basic still a great value option and well worth a visit if you like the more muscular type! In the evening I checked out Screw Boys which whilst a good selection including a few more ripped/muscular boys had nothing for me, X Boys again but to be honest I am probably getting a little cantankerous in my old age but between the mature Thai "Captain" who was clearly pissed and kept pushing me to select a boy whilst obstructing my view of their selection and my lady boy mamasan "friend" the place is starting to do my head in so one drink in there and of again - shame because they have a decent selection of boys! Friday morning was time to head home - I probably focus on air line loyalty a little because it can bring great Perks, following recent trips with Eva I have now elevated to their silver tear so in addition to the benefits of flying in their "Elite" Premium economy cabin with its various benefits I could now also enjoy their excellent lounge at the airport, a good way to conclude my little break!
  4. I am not sure but the link to Thai Massage boy appears to have been moved from my previous post - if you google it you will find the site, if I have done someting wrong by including that I am really sorry - just let me know as not intentional? However as above whilst the rooms are a bit basic at Hero compared to V Club 7 and certainly the Prince - last week the cold tap on the shower didn't function but my guy quickly found an alternate room the choice is vast, any boy I have met has been really friendly and would put Hero pretty well at the top of my list with Prince and V Club 7 just behind.
  5. I completely agree with DivineMadman and Vinapu those three are my favourite in Bangkok and best message places to always find a good choice of well built muscular guys - I visited each of them last week in Bangkok and was certainly not disappointed. You can get an idea of their boys if you visit With the Bars you will also find some muscular guys in Jupiter some are very friendly, but a few tend to think they are very special, the guys in Tawan are always most friendly!
  6. I am bad for sometimes just asking questions or replying to the odd question posted by other members so thought I should again post my own little trip report as it has been a while since I did so...... Well the first part of this holiday started with an Eva air flight from LHR to BKK and whilst the first meal on the flight wasn't so great I cant otherwise fault EVA, my frequency of trips with them to Thailand has now elevated me to their "Silver" FF status and the benefits of using their Air Canada Lounge at Heathrow are well worth the loyalty in my opinion (and saved me a fortune against a few pints in the Young's bar in terminal two!). This time I stayed at the Ambiance - Pattaya for my first 8 nights in a "Balcony Penthouse Suite", whilst effectively the "Balcony" is also the access corridor route and the definition of "Suite" for the room is questionable - more a fairly spacious room it was comfortable, clean and I would consider returning, the staff were very friendly and the one night I had dinner in their Lounge restaurant on the terrace was much better than I would have expected. Obviously for the night life the location is perfect and saves to hassel of travling in and back again from the less central gay hotels, al, be it I missed the pool of some other options but explained below wasn't that relevant for me any way this time! So far as the Pattaya bars were concerned, bearing in mind my preference is for the more muscular ripped boys ... A Bomb - appeared to have a fair number of boys, mainly more masculine but whilst I like this bar, the guys are often more my type and they are friendly the really slow turn around of boys on the stage is infuriating, one guy leaves and is replaced every music track change, and their tracks appear to last longer than the typical CD so at best it will take ages to understand the full selection potently available ! X Boys - met with a previous friend from their who joined me as soon as I entered, but otherwise probably about 20 boys a mix of slimmer and some more well built, friendly and welcoming, so far as their show goes reasonably planned and entertaining. Dream Boys - probably about 20 boys but mainly think types and nothing for me A Cupied - about 20 boys but very slim/twinkly so defiantly not my type Funny Boys - a fair mix of about 20 boys but none really to my taste, however very friendly and welcoming Toy Boys - very good, probably 30 boys and a good mix, very friendly helpful mamas an, was only spoilt (but was entertaining) by an extremely drunk foreign guest! Boyz Boyz boyz - well I still think the best in Pattaya, probably 40 - 50 boys a lot with very good physiques! their external BBB show at 9pm sharp is still fun to watch, but be aware many of their boys don't turn up in time or even if they do they don't participate, the selection in the bar is much better and for me their first of two shows on an evening at about 10.30 with some lovely sometimes not over muscled boys flexing is worth seeing! The mamassan /service team at BBB are also the most friendly, but also for me it is a pleasure to leave the actual internal show and enjoy a few drinks on their terrace where often several other boys will, if invited join you and a more "real" environment than in the go-go bar setup - all be it we should always remember where we are and the commercial side! My trip coincided with part of the preliminary heats for Mr Thailand at the Royal Garden shopping mall, a couple of boys from BBB were competing so was great fun to join them to support at the competition, all be it unfortunately neither got through (judges error in my humble opinion!) One afternoon I (with hindsight stupidly) took walk beyond walking street through the boat yard area to the little light house on the headland, on my return a less than friendly dog decided to attack and bite me, initially a visit to a pharmacy who just provided some plasters and cream but on reading up on line further I realised a dog bite from a possibly wild dog in Thailand needs little more attention! I visited Pattaya City Hospital and was immediately advised to commence a series of Rabies vaccinations, the initial shot being the worst as from a very big needle and direct into the wound area! This may be common sense to many on the forum and perhaps in the UK we are now a bit protected but please be aware of the potential severity of ignoring such an incident, when I suggested to the doctor that I perhaps wait to see if I develop any Rabies symptoms before starting a course of five vaccinations his response to me was extremely simple "you develop symptoms - then you will very soon after die!" - Needless to say I started the vaccination process & subsequently continued in Bangkok and will get my last two now I am back home in the UK. Also worth mentioning if your unfortunate enough to experience this the Speeda vaccination which is apparently new and made from horse serum I received in Pattaya is not so readily available in Bangkok and they recommend at least for the first 3 of 5 injections you stay with the same product. Perhaps Just to avoid unfriendly dogs is probably our best bet! Well after 8 days in Pattaya - and a great time - all be it a lot less speed boat hire for my envisaged trips to Kho Larn and snorkelling ( so at least a little financial saving I guess !) it was time to head up to Bangkok for a further 6 days -so if of interest I will update on my views on the bars, massage venues and other aspects in the next few days!
  7. I have visited Phuket on three occasions, stayed once at Aquarius which is close to the fairly small compared to Pattaya but Ok gay area and twice in Club one seven about 20 mins walk from the gay area. This compares to about twenty visits to Thailand over the last ten years always with some time in Bangkok and normally Pattaya unless in Phuket. Whilst Patong Beach in Phuket has about 4 GoGo bars in the Paradise complex and a couple of more club bars especially the excellent Boat Bar where non Thais often mix more, my view is it is much better if you head down their with an already established Thai friend from a previous visit, meeting my friend about a year ago in Bangkok then heading out to the airport and seeing his pleasure in that short first time flight to Phuket (not to mention the entire journey finding its way on to Facebook gave me pleasure in just that!) The gay scene in the paradise complex is probably more appealing to slightly younger clients than Pattaya, more like but smaller than say the Yumbo in Gran Canaria, so a lot more gay non Thai couples from Australia the US and Europe. That said visiting last time with my Thai friend we still had a great time between the Paradise complex and also Banglar street, very similar to Walking street but heads inland from the beach towards the paradise complex and probably more up to date as a lot of it was re built after the Tsunami. The beaches are far better than either Pattaya or Kho Larn, a taxi from the south end of Patong Beach down the coast to say nearby Freedom or Paradise Beach is a nice drive, great scenery and if you and your friend enjoy snorkelling then trying some great Thai seafood in the beach side restaurant simply amazing! I have found that Club one seven is a great place to stay, their exec rooms by the small pool are pretty comfortable, the pool and garden is almost private, with a great adjacent gym (for my friend rather than me!) and most of all the Manager and team at Club one seven are really friendly and welcoming and importantly for me made my Thai friend just as welcome as me, instead of being the Thai boy with the Farang! - couldn't recommend the place enough! Well I am returning to Thailand later today so a bit of sleep then off to Heathrow to board my currently favourite airline EVA and off to see what this holiday brings in Pattaya and Bangkok - so cant wait!
  8. I think this has been well covered here, but from my perspective whilst I would rather not buy the boy a drink at such an inflated price for a simple soda and as many other posters have rightly pointed out your paying a fortune for a dash of soda, however when I first meet a boy in Tawan or wherever in any bar chances are I am enjoying a drink myself so if I buy the boy a drink the few minutes then spent in conversation and sussing out if this is someone I want to spend a lot longer with is surely worth a few hundred Bhat. If however I then decide he is not for me, which is much better then than having offed him, I simply thank him, small token tip for conversation and continue my search, this is surely better so perhaps money very well spent and worth the small price of the drink? If I know the guy from a previous visit then I simply confirm the "off" with the boy immediately and the mamasan and there is no pressure to buy any drink! Simple suggestion but if your in Boyz Boyz Boyx in Pattaya and you think you have found the boy of your dreams, invite him to join you for a drink outside the bar, let the waiter know and he will happily move your tab outside, drinks on the terrace are a lot cheaper, chances are the boy will probably select a beer instead of a dash of soda and gives you a much better chance to get to know him and often great fun with some of the other guys!
  9. As very correctly pointed out before me you need to provide a little more information and a lot of answers to your questions can be found searching this forum, however some of your questions relate to my initial interest and concerns when first visiting Thailand so I will try and help you further... Length of stay in Bangkok - yes five days should be fine, but really depends on how far you are traveling to reach Bangkok, if long haul depending on how used to the time changes you are remember you might need a bit of time to adjust, I would also then suggest you need longer in Thailand, perhaps consider about 5 days Bangkok and then head down to Pattaya - a lot of what you want, ( though perhaps not so much on the more muscular massage front), but plenty of muscular boys in the Boys Town GoGo Bars can also be enjoyed there? Hotel choice in Bangkok - if your first time be careful of hotels that perhaps wont be that welcoming to any guys you bring back, Tarntawan Place is only a minuets walk maximum from Tawan Bar and very convenient for all the other gay bars and whilst a bit dated depending on what you want a very decent 3 to 4 star standard especially in their superior "Surrawong Rooms" extremely welcoming and I always feel an excellent choice. The Rose Hotel very nearby has smaller rooms, is cheaper but has the benefit of a pool & excellent Restaurant again no issue in brining guys back - you will find loads of other suggestions on this forum. Just be conscious of distance and getting back late at night if not in the "Gay Bar area" all be it half the boys have a motorbike to hand and motorbike or normal taxis are plentiful. Also importantly for me consider how welcoming your hotel will be with your new friend, unless your happy to be pulled to one side and forced to pay a "Joiners" fee! Also be aware that most hotels will want to ensure (for your own protection) that your friend is at least 18 years of age and then hold "your friends" ID card until his departure, the boys are familiar with that and its for your own protection, but bear that in mind when you "off them" and double check if they look very young! Bars with more muscular boys - there is no doubt that Tawan Bar is the specialist on the more muscular side, the bar is very friendly, normally loads of guys, really welcoming, not in anyway pushy but depending on what you are looking for a lot of the guys are pretty mature and perhaps not always in their former most ripped condition (to be polite!) though often still a few great muscular/bodybuilder types and very much depends on what you are looking for, you will find younger but also well built/muscular boys at Jupiter and then just try all the main bars as each at some time will offer what ever turns you on. Perhaps during the day take a wander through Lumpini Park, have a look at the outside gym and you will find a few of the guys who work in Tawan Bar training there, smile and watch them and then - well who knows.... Massage - Hero is excellent, you can get there easily on the Sky Train from the above hotels, just work out your journey first and I would suggest be clear on the final directions or have a decent map to hand, also worth trying is The Prince and also V Club 7 as with many others they also have a good selection of more muscular boys if you have a look at this site Hope my contribution is of help to you and enjoy the many pleasures of my favourite city!
  10. I have visited the Tawan Bar countless times over the last ten or so years and offed many boys some on a more regular basis and have never really been disappointed. The guys may not appeal to everyone that is personal taste (but then I wouldn't rate the bulk of the skinny kids on offer in the Pattaya Sunee area!) however there is normally a mixture of larger and I accept more mature older guys, some who are currently perhaps more heavy than real bodybuilder or past their peak of training but with a fair percentage of much more defined and often younger guys down to some times boys in their early twenty's just getting into a bit of bodybuilding/fitness who love to show of their ripped and developing physiques. The staff at Tawan are however always the most helpful and friendly of any of the Bangkok bars, with no element of the usual pushy "you want to off boy..." the "boys" are also probably the least pushy but engage as appropriate and recognise you. So in my view unless you are really into the more skinny/fem type boy that you will not find in Tawan well worth a look in the place! Only my point of view but I will certainly be heading back on my next trip to Bangkok in March!
  11. Hi Mate I don't dispute anything that has been posted on this trail but do consider your options as there are quite a few........ Boystown hotels (le Café Royal which I have enjoyed many times, though before their more recent changes, Ambiance once and Copa which is new since I last stayed in that area have a great location on an evening, handy if you want to take a "new friend" back and I think despite some potential noise issues offer a lot but otherwise limited facilities. Slightly further away though still in walking distance but with very limited facilities other than good quality spacious rooms if you take the larger suites and friendly efficient service though cleaning etc is extra consider Mosaic Apartments, they are good value, the size and quality of the room excellent especially if you take a suite with balcony but still very affordable - especial compared to Boystown hotels! Move a little further away, on my last few visits I stayed at Baan Souy, whilst a bit far to walk from Boys town you will have no difficulty with a motorbike taxi or Bhat bus, though the benefit in the day to me is it is also nearer to Jomtian beach, for a little more expense than a similar room in Boys town they offer excellent spacious rooms and the benefit of a fabulous pool area and a great team of staff! I stayed at Baan Souy several times over the last couple of years and would recommend it however I guess I fell out a little bit as it wound me up when they were clearly advertising their rates as tax inclusive which when the confirmation came through was not the case, eventually they accepted their error and their website was corrected but left a nasty taste with me! I am trying the new Samsuk Guest house by the sauna on my next visit and happy to update following that but check out their website looks worth consideration? Hope that helps!
  12. If your traveling alone take your time on the first couple of evenings to suss out the bars and find a boy that works for you, silly as it seems no harm in taking a little note pad and pen to remind yourself which bars and which boy (number) you like as certainly for me can become a bit of a blur the following day after a few drinks. Once you find a guy you like don't be mean, consider a trip to Kho Larne, if you negotiate you can probably get a private speed boat for the day for about 2,500 BHT or a little less from Jomtian Beach (turn left not right when you first hit the sea front!) your new friend will love it and the beach food and swimming are fantastic and a great way to get to know him!
  13. I first discovered Thailand in 2006 after many relatively boring holidays in Gran Canaria which is handy for us Brits. Since then I became "addicted" and I think with the exception on one year when I only made it once, I have visited twice a year and I am looking forward to my next trip in October, probably depressing if you look at what it has all cost over the years, but I have enjoyed so many exciting holidays (not to mention the benefits of the frequent flyer status if you use the airlines carefully !) that I couldn't really care! For me it is still my holiday heaven!
  14. I would probably suggest Patong Beach in Phuket as an alternative, it is about an hours flight from Bangkok, much nicer scenery, the beaches are clean, snorkelling which I love is fantastic very near to the main resort area, effectively Pattong is a little bit like a mini but much cleaner version of Pattaya. I think if you still want some go go bars other then Chiang Mai this is probably your only option. The Paradise Complex in the centre of the resort has a small selection of Go go bars, and some other nice bars and a couple of clubs, I would strongly recommend Club one seven as a place to stay, not far from the Paradise Complex and extremely friendly and comfortable!
  15. Hi Mate I may has misunderstood your initial question or concern but I find the site to be pretty active, all be it most of the suggested "new boys" are just updates at best on existing, if I haven't misunderstood are you using the correct link, this one works fine for me? www.thaimassageboy.com
  16. Hi Guys Thank you for all your great advise on this question.... In addition to fair value for money and no issue with joiners, guess I also fancied a change, I emailed the Pinnacle ref joiners and their response was to the effect if I booked a double and my guest arrived and checked in/registered at the same time with me then fine, otherwise THB 550 - It is not so much the cost (all be it does influence me!) more the agro and embarrassment so I declined to make a reservation. I am going to try the Malaysia and have booked a Premium room with balcony in their new wing at THB 1,700 - similar to what I can pay at the Rose, for I expect a much larger room and with balcony and a fair bit less than Tarntawan, Place. I will let you know how I get on!
  17. I am thinking about a change of hotel on my next visit to Bangkok, I have often used the Rose which is fine but the rooms are a bit small and basic, I also like Tarntawan but expensive for what it is. I am thinking about the Pinnacle or Malaysia hotels, the Malaysia looks to have some nicer rooms in a newer block, does anyone have any recent experience of them and is there any issue if I book a double brining the odd friend back on an evening?
  18. To be honest my two visits to Baan Souy so far were in Nov and March, plan to return this November, so yes I accept a bit cooler than the middle of summer, but to wander to the beach is almost down hill all the way and a hell of a lot of very pleasant Russian eye caddy to enjoy on route!
  19. You could do a lot worst than trying Baan Souy, initially I was concerned ref the location, but it is a fairly pleasant walk to Jomtien beach via the water park place during the day and motor bike taxis make it easy to get in to boys town and back. The rooms are a decent size, with a good bathroom, the pool area fantastic to relax and all the staff are great, it is also pretty well 100% gay! I have tried the Ambiance, Café Royal and Mosiak in the past, no real problem with any of them, but for me now the pool, room quality and staff, means Baan Souy is now my firm favourite!
  20. Hi Mate If your thinking of meeting and taking a few Thai guys back to your hotel, I suggest you take this in to account when selecting a place to stay, my first time in Bangkok some time ago I stayed at the Holiday Inn - Silon, after the taxi journey back from the main gay areas it was a nightmare "smuggling" a friend in or paying the joiner fee when ever we were caught! I would suggest you consider a more "gay friendly" hotel such as Tartawan Place or the Rose hotel, both are excelent, depending on what you want, I use the Rose Hotel more now as whilst the rooms are a bit smaller, it is cheaper and I love their pool! Both hotels are a couple of minuites walk from the main gay bar areas at night and you will have no problens taking any new "Thai friend" back, providing he has ID and is over 18, which makes sense. During the day from either hotel easy to walk over to Lumpini Park and relax (& if you like more muscular guys see them working out in the open air gym!) or simple to get arround Bangkok as the nearest Sky train at station at Sala Daeng or the underground is only a short walk. I would also suggest during the day to try the tourist river boat, only a couple of sky train stops away, amazing value and a great way to see the city and stop off at some of the main tourist attractions from the river. It is also only about a 40 min gentle walk up the the main big shopping areas you mentioned, or easy by Sky train. Hope this is of help and have a great visit!
  21. I am thinking of trying out Baan Souy on my visit to Thailand next month for a change, has anyone stayed there recently and if so would love to hear any feedback..... In particular ...... Are the balcony rooms any larger or better than the pool side rooms, or are you just paying a bit more for the balcony? Is the inclusive breakfast OK and and can you enjoy it well in to the day (don't tend to surface that early whilst on holiday!) How easy is it to get back late at night from Boys Town area as normally been within an OK walking distance? Is it pretty well only gay - dont really fancy a load of "hetro Couples" sunbathing arround the pool if I am relaxing with some new found Thai boy! Any other feedback really appreciated
