  1. So? Your apologetic responses dont even have to do with the issue. The facts is that the maps in Thaipuan are outdated, incomplete and for a large point simply wrong. Therefor not good to use for a newbie who want to explore thai gay businesses. Im sure you can make up many excuses why this is the case but that doesnt change this.
  2. Yes of course Thaipuan is profitable. Or else it would close down just as those other examples you mention.
  3. You seem to lack publishing knowledge since this is totally different from one magazine to another. There are of course no 3-6 month rule. Concerning niche market that makes it especially important for a magazine to know about their niche.
  4. I am very sure that Thaipuan magazine is not a charity. It is a profitable business. Just like the boys in the bars I will not work for free. If Thaipuan want me to scout for them and inform them that Funny boys closed years ago and that there are bars named Toyboys and X-boys, they will have to pay.
  5. They don't even have a map of Sunee. Only Boyztown and Jomtien complex. It's like Sunee doesn't exist in the Thaipuan magazine.
  6. I came across the June 2018 issue of free gay thai magazine Thaipuan. I have always been amazed of how inaccurate their maps of gay businesses are, and it was no different this time either. In the past I thought the reason why they miss so many bars are because they only place bars or other businesses on their maps who pay them for adds. That is probably one reason but not all. But I think now it's more of that they simply don't want to do some research and work to visit and see what is open or not. In Pattaya Boyztown they claim that Funny boys agogo still exists... That says alot of how many years it was since their reporters seem to have visited Boyztown. Castro is wrong location on the map. In soi 13/3 and soi 13/4 there is only one boybar according to Thaipuan - 360 degree boy (which in fact has been closed since last year)... Toyboys doesn't exist on their map. I could do a long list of more examples but to summarize: don't use the maps of Thaipuan.
  7. I can't say that I ever enjoyed a visit to Dreamboys. Sure they sometimes have handsome boys but the place is really boring. No athmosphere at all. Boys standing on stage looking bored, not dancing, no party feeling what so ever. You just feel you want to leave as quickly as possible. And yes, the drink price at 220 baht is extremely overpriced for the experience you get in that bar. I used to like Kawaii boys though. Smiling and dancing boys, they were fun to look at.
  8. What is a normal short time tip for someone from the apps?
  9. No it's not. It is because the chinese who make up 99% of these bars visitors don't want to see too much skin. That would shock the chinese ladies too much. They are happy to just see the boys in jeans and shirts and to get a short glimpse of their bodies in the shows, so the bars adjust to this.
  10. What an odd question to ask in a gogobar... So the boys in this gogobar aren't already shirtless from the start? That is considered as an 'extra service'?
  11. Lip syncing ladyboys, outrageous drink prices, shower scene with boys in briefs. Sounds like they keep the modern Soi twilight spirit alive even if not located there. I think asiaguys.net had many good points in their recent article about the decline of Bangkoks gogobars, such as
  12. There is no Classic boys club. The only boy agogo bars remaining in soi 13/3 now are X-boys and Dreamboys. In soi 13/4 there is A-bomb. If I count from memory just 3-4 years ago there were 10 boy agogos in the Pattayaland area of theese two sois. Now there are only 3 left.
  13. Kawaii boys was open yesterday at 23:30 as a karaoke (I guess?) when I had a walk in the soi. From the outside I saw some boys fully dressed in jeans and shirts. I did not bother look inside and no one approached me. "Few customers? Get those boys to put on some clothes that will bring in the crowds!". I wish them good luck but I prefer gogobars with shirtless boys and is not interested in karaoke. In Dreamboys I recognized 4 boys as former gogoboys in Kawaii.
  14. Sad news. Agree with all above. Kawaii boys was a great bar but started going downhill with fewer boys and for the first time ever as far as I know started to have some pompoi boys on stage too. Otherwise before a bar known for strictly slim and cute twinks. But unlike some other bars closing down lately I think Kawaii agogo boys will be missed by many. I doubt it will attract farangs as a karaoke bar, but that probably is not the idea either.
  15. Apparently they have given up completely now. The bar has been closed since a few days.
  16. Now a lady massage place there instead. It is the same shop that is located opposite that has expanded. I can't imagine why because I've never seen a customer there when walking by, but obviously they are hoping to attract the arab crowd in soi vc.
  17. You are so 100% spot on with that Vessey. That is exactly why so many boybars have failed - the bar owners didn't understood the importance of their bars to be FUN. If people just want to find a boy the apps are very competative. But many people go to bars to enjoy themselves and they are ready to pay to be entertained. That is why fun bars like Winnerboys and Nice boys in Sunee are sucessful. And bars who are/where not fun and thought customers wanted to hear "What number!? You take boy! Can sit with you! You tell me number!" constantly by a 150 kilo ladyboy, are not popular and are closing down.
  18. Few boys and few customers? Sounds like the soi Twilight bars need to charge more for their drinks? A 1000 baht per drink should do it? Hey hey thai logic
  19. I was there a month or so ago. Very friendly and helpful manager. Doesn't bother you if you want to sit alone but greets you and is available for questions or give you information like who can bottom (there actually sometimes are a few bottomboys there). Most times about 10 boys in the bar. Most straight tops, fit and muscular. Very friendly, flexing on stage for you and trying to get you to pick them. Alcohol drink for customer 220 baht. Boydrink 250 baht. Off fee 400 and expected short time tip 1500. Those were the prices last time I inquired. Only negative is that rotation on stage is extremely slow so it takes some time before all of the boys have been up on stage because they are only 6 of them on stage at the same time.
  20. Sounds like a nice evening. You guys didn't miss anything in Sunee. It was unbelievably quiet Thursday evening. Eros even closed for unknown reason. I went for the 23:30 show in X-boys. Shower scene with two boys for that show. Show good as usual but no 'special show', guess that is only in the 22:00-show.
  21. I should go see the show again then. Maybe worth a try. Just to clarify I only commented about the show, not how the boys were looking. I've always thought BBB have plenty of handsome boys and that don't seem to have changed even after the show changed to a more tame version, and in the past I've offed several from there :-) Paying drinks 280+450(?), off fee 800 and tip 2000 in a bar with boys in jeans and shirts is however not for me, but whatever makes people happy and good that this bar can cater for some people that enjoy what is on offer :-)
  22. Any cocks on display? Last time I saw the show a year or so ago the show was far from its old glory and rather pathetic imho since it was an imitation of the acts they used to performe before but keeping their underwear or jeans on. They actually had a 'big cock show' without showing the cocks, just showing the bulges in the underwear. And the blanket with the holes in that they used to put their cocks in, now only was used to pull up and down displaying underwear. Boring and not worth 280 baht in my opinion and the fully dressed boys on stage I've seen when I had a quick look inside there sometimes after made me not stay for show again since. But the show maybe was more entertaining now? The show in X-boys however is still good and worth a visit.
  23. Two boys who used to work in Kawaii boys agogo have started a tiny hole-in-the-wall shop for sexy underwear. It is located near the entrance/exit of Boyztown at Second road. If you face Boyztown entrance at Second road you have a Familymart on your left side and a 7-Eleven on your right side. The shop is a little bit to the right side just where the 7-Eleven ends. Worth a visit.
  24. I was just waiting for someone to point out the obvious... Why would anyone (except maybe for a poor myanmar boy coming to work illegally) stay in a dormitary in Pattaya where hotels and guesthouses are so cheap? Is it only for purposes like mentioned above, to see other men naked?

I think it will be interesting to see if their location is an advantage or disadvantage for them. They are more visible for many people walking by or going by bahtbus on Thappraya road than inside the complex. On the other hand people that are bar hopping in the complex main soi might miss that this bar exist or just dont bother. The bars in the complex that arent in the main soi dont seem to be doing as well as those who are, and this bar is even a little bit further away.
