  1. I really did enjoy the songkran parties and festival this year. I think big difference here is the number of gayboys flying into town for the event. some hotels you are not the minority! If you dont get into the water festival part, yes the town is very disjointed with lots of closures and you not wanted to go outside getting wet. And dont forget how HOT it is! NYE less party party.... and i would suggest the town is also much more chilled with many places closed for the holiday period, streets empty of traffic and fresh clean air at that time of year. Both times are my favourite times of year to visit.
  2. Ozmouse can you please give more info about this service. How to contact? Thanks For DMK i used https://www.limousine.in.th/fast-track-immigration.html for BKK is use https://www.bangkokflightservices.com/home/bfs-services/premium-airport-services/
  3. there is a paid expedited service thru don muang immigration. they meet you at the plane, and while you have to line up at the VIP area we had a 3 person wait, as opposed to 3 hour wait. while the cost of the service is more than the air asia flight from laos, it also saves more time than the air asia flight! so great value!!! wont not fly out of DMK without it Funny thing is, while you have 1 person meet you and escort you pretending it is all above board customer service, meanwhile we had 3! immigration/uniform dudes tailing us behind and in front. Taking our pictures on their phones the whole way including at the immigration counter, and getting in the car. Was the weirdest experience.
  4. thanks numazu for sharing inner thoughts and dramatic license. so enjoyed reading. loved monboy... miss monboy... erotic and emotional.... the best sort of love affair you can have. as others have mentioned, i too have had the opportunity for great lovers in BKK and your story stirs all the emotions you have expressed. thank you...
  5. i only use the vip meet and greet. have not used normal path in 10 years. they meet you at gate with a sign, walk you to immigration, use the diplomat/vip lanes. completely painless. some times wasted money... other times... $30 worth $100s/hour \\ most painful part of process is girl that meets you does not walk fast enough. so you can pay extra and get buggy! if i knew what gate they would land at i would book ever time. but i use the walk as a way of getting blood flowing after sitting on long flight. i use bangkok flight services

  7. We end up parking/setting up in one of the bars in soi4 for the street madness. Used it as the base for food, drinks, visiting, resting, toilets - just gave you some space in all the madness. Water fought on the balcony, went inside when you needed a break. Worked well for us, lasted from late afternoon to midnight. it was one of the first ones as you enter the soi... that same bar no longer there...... what other strategies does one have for street party? Cant last more than a couple hours crushed on the street? Maybe we could pick a bar as a meeting point? HAH! Never been to g-sircuit, so cant comment. The ONLY reason we picked bear party is because we are older, hairier and heavier than 99.9% of the beautiful boys that will be at the boy party. So there is a small chance we might actually fit in to this party. Buffed gayboy dance parties not really our scene... but create your own fun i say!
  8. To be honest... i go to thailand for the food before the boys! they are just the bonus. Love the food stalls on sala deang, sala deang soi 2 convent, soiphipat etc etc etc Only problem with songkran is all the food stalls/shops close!!
  9. Yes i will be in town 8-16th. By myself first few days, BF arriving on 13th. Heading to laos for 5 days after that as well. Will be getting up to my own fun first few days - completely free agent then! When BF arrives, we have tix to gsircuit parties, but i dont think he will be 100% committed to them, nor to the water fights in the street. So might be looking to hang with folks then.... in my mind, itinerary will be street party on 13th. gscircuit opening night party 14th. bear day pool party 15th. I was able to do songkran once before... with a fuckbuddy. we had a great time. We spent 1 afternoon/night at the silom street water fight, holed up in soi 4 bar till the wee hours of the morning. Next day i could hardly walk i was so stiff and sore. We headed back to street party next day, but it had lost it luster, and we just were too tired... We had more fun going to and from silom road from sathorn, where we had one of one skirmishes with locals. oh yeah did i say fuckbuddy... we spent the rest of the time in bed! so greatly looking forward to the break, being back in thailand, reliving the memories... but dont think it will be a good as the first time round....
  10. my lost story was songkran few years back..... my travel wallet with just cash for the night and credit card and photocopy of passport. lost it? (i thought stolen) within 1 hour of arrival at silom road water fight. was in bar in soi4 ... just in from corner.... she ran me an account for th evening!!!! came back next day and settle bar bill! 3 months later .... i get long distance call from tourism authority of thailand, saying they got my phone number from qantas, and they have my wallet and credit card, can you please confirm your address so we can send it to you! and they did. Card cancelled within 24 hours of loss. no cash. but i still have that wallet!
  11. And it too has a built in translator. Language was an issue for my hookups. Was surprises as we committed well on app!
  12. Added to the list of sightseeing during my trip in april. Has been there the last 15 years i have been coming to BKK and never stepped in the door. Certainly will change the neighbourhood... 1 tourist hotel replaced with a massive mixed use complex.
  13. not so much a fluid situation ... instead i suggest the stiatuation is that is when they wanted to hold it ... but the tourism board or whomever, said you cant shut down the one of the most visited countries in the world during the busiest week of the year for a funeral! it will save the economy millions by moving it to october.
  14. after the longest time holding off using viagra, after a couple of disappointing sexual encounters, i went to Dr to get script for them. Yes all the health warning are applicable - high blood pressure, but also NO popper use. Anyways... im a convert!! im only taking 1//4 -1/2 tabs and i am having great results. I have never topped so much in my life!! . For the random encounters where the chemistry just isnt there, or when condoms doing your hard-on in, or you have been drinking, or... or ...or, it just works. im a convert.
  15. WOW! Talk about a turn of events! Did not think the tale was going to turn that way...... but what a way to end it numazu.... with another sexy travel chapter that leaves us hanging for more. But also what might be a closing chapter on the story.... good on you... leave us wanting more .. well some of us! (now to my private message...)
  16. As mentioned above, a wet market is a food market (as opposed to a clothing, souvenirs, etc). The wet specifically referring to the market having butchers and fishmongers that require water/ice for trading. So indeed not all food markets are wet markets. Getting back to khloeng toei market... if you get into the heart of the meat and fish section... you will have more than water on your shoes.... Hence my description as biggest/baddest. While some people get squeamish at these sorts of markets, i just love the action, drama and it the end, the connection to our food chain.
  17. closer to silom/sathorn is khlong toei market. the biggest baddest wet market i have found in BKK It is an easy 1-2 mrt stops from silom. It is huge in size and everything you want to poke and prode the senses of an asian market https://www.travelfish.org/sight_profile/thailand/bangkok_and_surrounds/bangkok/bangkk/1755
  18. If going to chatuchak if taking MRT, at kamphaeng phet station instead of following signs to Chatuchak market go in opposite direction to Or Tor Kor market - one of BKK leading food markets. While a traditional wet market is it certainly upmarket... At one end is all the food court stalls... best eats. A must do for me. Only reason i go to chatuchak. http://www.bangkok.com/shopping-market/or-tor-kor-market.htm
  19. Yes we will have to reconsider as well. we usually end up in LOS during xmas week. maybe bangkok will be off the list this year. We were in the country when his sister was cremated. We were in Samui, and saw some of the ceremonies on tv that ran all day. It was a lights out, alcohol under the table night. Minor interruptions to us, but i suspect the kings ceremonies to be more of an impact far from the nations capital. Having said above, yes, went to see the cremation pyre though upon return to BKK. and yes very worth the sightseeing diversion.
  20. thanks for detailed reply. remains on the list then! sounds better than average.
  21. more info on maggie choo's would be appreciated. it has been on the list last 2 visits... .havent gotten there. specific night for specific entertainment/gay nights?
