Jasper..i feel sorry for your "not very nice" experience with mr fluke...during offing him last month i not face any problem with him (while in my hotel rooms) but yes he made me wait almost 25 minutes to him 'get ready' and i almost feel same like you (humiliating)..isnt 25 minutes it too long for a guys to get ready?..
I used to offed mr mekhin (superman) and mr thong (former mr thailand) during my visit to tawan on 2016 but neither take 25 minutes to on the clothes...honestly i think they take around 5 minutes only..
 
But IMHO maybe its mr fluke own habbit...but overall i am happy with time spending with him and definately not thinking twice to make it again on my next visit..

Nothing to be scared about him, I found him very friendly and generous with smile.
 
As for ignorance part , since third party / mamasan /  was involved , and you did not tip him you will never know who did not like you, Fluke or that mamasan. It's why I usually by-pass them although at Moonlight I did exactly the same -asked mamasan to bring him over but gave him 100 baht so he can focus on the task. It worked.
 
I need to re-examine my priorities as Nicky seem to be second guy along with  Soda from Tawan offed by me who reminds you your aunt. LOL

I visited Moonlight on two Fridays in late October and early November.
 
The management hasn’t completely refurbished but minor changes from Boy66 or Jupiter2002. Seating, the stage, shower booth in the same place.
 
Both night the place was 70 % full, much better than I heard from the forum’s reviews. I deliberately chose Friday as I thought reviewing on quite weekdays may not be kind to the bar.
 
The first impression, the crowd is older than Jupiter’s.
The farang ratio perhaps slightly higher.
I am comparing to Jupiter since Moonlight and Jupiter are the only gogo bars I visited this time.
 
The shows are ok.
It seems the management has the obsession that every shows must end with revealing male genital organs.
 
There was SM themed fuck show with wip that the dominant used the sub mercilessly.
 
There were 3-4 customers with a bottle of whiskey opened so it seems the bar is gaining regular customers.
 
I have seen the much talked about models, Tam, Nicky, Sunny,Babe, York, Tae and Fluke.
 
It is a good idea that the models walk around off stage wai ing customers after introduction on stage so that we could have a better look at them. By observing their gestures, Sunny,
Nicky and Fluke were friendlier than other models.
 
 
On both nights there were only about 15 boys(non-model), slightly towards twink side than Jupiter’s and mostly next door type.
I would recruit more boys if I was managing the bar.
 
At the end of the show all the boys dance this little dance with Moonlight song that reminded me the awkward Jupiter 2002 dance of BoyzBoyzBoyz.
 
I found exJupiter mamasan and waiter.
The old mamasan hugged me enthusiastically “I am happy to see you” but I didn’t tip him.
 
Finally, let’s talk about Mr Fluke.
he looked exactly the same as seeing on SNS.
 
 
I thought watching his shower show was worth 400 entrance fee.
 
He moves quite provocatively yet his look and hair and his massive muscles let me imagine him being an exotic wild animal that trying to break the cage ( shower booth)and get away which left me somehow an uneasy feeling.
To tell you the truth I was little scared of him.
 
 
I also watched Nicky’s shower show that was totally non-sensual.
 
On the first day I visited Moonlight I was determined to get to know Mr Fluke so as soon as I entered I called a mamasan, showed Mr Fluke’s photo and asked to call him.
Mamasan was delighted when he asked “(boy)drink ok?” and I nodded. He was calculating a fat tip from me.
 
Well, actually I was ignored by Mr Fluke!
 
Mamasan was keep saying “ after show he come” I waited till 11:40 but he didn’t come.
While I was waiting for Mr Fluke, Nicky tried to
offer himself but I declined as he reminds me of my aunt. He seemed most eager of all models.
 
I was like a teenager stood up by the date.
Of course I was feeling humiliated!
Maybe he thought I looked hideous or had a bad day at the office that night.
My friend who knows Mr Fluke a little consoled me saying that he is not the type of guy.

We went to Moonlight two weekends ago.  Fluke and Tam were there, Babe wasn't.  They were all short (I'm 175 cm tall and they were all shorter than me, despite being in boots).  Show was so-so; they kept it brief which was good.  Fluke gave the sexiest shower show that I had ever seen; I hadn't seen that many but his was pretty sensuous and had a rhythm to it.  What I like about Fluke and Tam is that they bothered to build up their lower bodies so as not to look ridiculous in trunks or shorts.  Neither particularly appealed to me but if you asked me to pick I would pick Fluke - more interesting face and seemed to have a lively personality.  Tam had a chunky China girl (I say China, not Chinese) wrapped around him.  Fluke didn't have a customer and was actually sitting outside next to the ticket counter when we arrived. We should have invited him over for a drink come to think of it.  Bar wasn't that busy.  You had to buy a 400Bt ticket at the door which gets you one drink.  Second drink is 300Bt if I'm not mistaken.  Service was good; servers were polite and the compere greeted us as we entered.  The older ladyboy mamasan with the long hair came over a few times asking us to "off" a boy or get one to sit with us but a simple "yang" (not yet) and she left us alone.  By no means was she pushy.  I liked this bar but the selection of boys could have been better but maybe they had all been "offed" earlier as we went at 11-ish.

I'd not call him extremely short, it may make dwarfy impression on readers. Hopefully you managed to replace him with Fluke !
 
You underscored point I always make - go and see for yourself, don't go by the pictures nor by reviews as either one has only limited use even if made in best of faith

The most disappointing thing about visiting Moonlight was seeing Babe in real life. Unfortunately for me, he is extremely short and smaller than I would have expected him to be by watching Instagram photos that he is out of my offable range. Lucky for my wallet. lol
 
When I visited Moonlight last Friday, Babe was sitting with an Asian woman and she was all over him, kissing and hugging.

Rumours will that Mr Babe is in Macau/Hong Kong now.

I had been at bangkok for 3 days for holiday. A relief from my stress working life.
 
I arrived at bangkok at late night. 9pm, about that time. My AirAsia flight land at Don Mueng airport.
 
At immigration, i noticed less tourists check in the immigration counter. I feel weird, why the thailand immigration dedicated to put 6 or 8 booths, for china tourist. For me, ASEAN booths only two.
No hassle in immigration booth. Then, i feel free to enter thailand.
 
Pick up my luggage. Go get some simcard, cost 299b for promotion. As usual, i get taxi cab from the airport, straight to Silom area. A little bit costly for night taxi ride. There, i stay at Tarntawan Surawong hotel. My favourite spot to stay. It costs me about 3,000b for 3D2N, 2 person. I went alone, the other person is my special for my one night stand guest.
 
I just realised that, the day before i arrived here, Thailand celebrated Chulalongkorn Day. Therefore, all the visiting places look colourful. I went to Wat Pho, Wat Arun, Chatuchak Market. Everything look happenings. Only Patpong market slows down, as i seen. Probaly they just get ready, if any raid attack by police, which happens a few weeks ago.
 
For taxi travel in bangkok, some of those drivers are money demanding. I use my Grab app to estimate the expense to go such destinations. After i know, then i can confidently argue with taxi driver for the pay. Grab service is less  popular at Bangkok. It might be so many taxi services, and bike taxi services.
 
The weather during my trips always changing much. From hot blazing weather to cold stormy weather. I feel headache when walk around.
 
I never had idea to go any massaging center. I usually go to Arena. However, i may not thinking to go there for this trip. I just enjoy visiting the must place to visit in bangkok. I just realise the BTS train service quite expensive for trip to another stations.
 
Since its rainy days, i cant go other bar far away from my hotel. I walk to nearby bar, well, its my old favourite hang out place,  Tawan bar. 100 meter walk from my hotel. I assume.

Only one thing that i feel 'hate' to off him, he is too demanding. sigh, too bad.
 
As show goes on, start around 11pm. I remember their shows order. boys cat walk, orgy in the dark, bdsm with whipping and hot candle pour on body, police and guilty guy, pharaoh or thai orgy dancing session, ends with boys masturbate and ejaculate on stage. I notice the shows become too short. It ends about 12 pm.
 
My night is lonely. I off one of the men. I only off big muscular man. I don't know his number on stage, as he ready sit beside me throughout the show.
 
He's nice, speak a bit english. I only speak simple english, so that he can understand. I brought him to my hotel room. We had good time one night stand. That all I can share for my trip. Sorry, it may look short trip. It may worth for me. However, I can come again next year to bangkok for another trip.

as long as those guys tell up front what they are or aren't up to this is no problem. Moonlight,  like others are boy bars not gay bars.
 
But my advice for myself and everybody else would be talk to the boy in question directly and find out from him.

I am not retired yet.
 
I just turned 50, which is the milestone I had earlier set for myself to retire. I have just also become debt-free after paying up the last of my mortgages, so that will make the decision-making easier.
 
I am working in Singapore, and now that I have hit my 50-milestone, the process of deciding when I should actually take the retirement plunge begins in earnest.
 
I plan to retire in Johor Bahru just next door to Singapore across the straits, where I have a condo which I had bought off the shelf a couple years back as a retirement home. It is in a nice gated development with a riverine and coastal boardwalk and pocket parks, courtesy of its Australian builders.
 
When I do retire, I plan to live off rental income from an investment property and spend a couple of months in my Johor home, alternating with a couple of weeks in Singapore where my partner has a home (he has no plans yet to retire), with short trips to Bangkok and other places in SE-Asia in between. My partner and I are both from this part of the world and hence comfortable with the climate and lifestyle.
 
I have thought about retirement in Thailand as the eligibility criteria for retirement visa is fairly achievable. However, I guess my partner and I would need to spend longer periods in Thailand to be able to decide whether it is a viable option for us. For now, Malaysia seems a good place for affordability and amenities. The gay environment is not a pre-requisite as we are not active in the scene except when in Bkk when we visit the Silom bars for partying at most.
 
It would be nice to hear from any of you who retired early in your 50s or even 40s about how you made your decision and how you manage their finances.

Last day and final notes
 
My flight was at noon so just to be sure I asked reception to wake me up at 8 , just in case. They did but I was already awake and almost packed which is not big task for me as I like to travel lightly.
 
All I bought in Thailand to take  with me was shirt, shorts and bar of soap ( I like tamarind soap from 7/11 and when use it , say 6 month later,  all of the sudden Thai  memories are piling up. Amazing how our memory works )
 
Breakfast in the lobby on the familiar , at one time in the past , clean tablecloth and shortly dash to BTS  and I’m on my way.
 
Exchanged some leftover baht to my currency and last 10 baht given to passing by cleaner. Smooth flight , fast connection , smooth arrival at home and in exactly 23 hours , 53 minutes from moment of closing hotel room door I opened my own.  Second fastest return from Thailand ever for me .
 
Of course my ATM card , all both of them were on my desk in full view. Oh well, all  finished without any problems than to my friend and if he was not there , back up solution was at hand. There are good people everywhere. Since it was past 10 p.m. it was best arrival time possible.
 
Finally some strong leaf tea longed for during all those days and I went to bed during my normal time. Almost no jet lag as result.  
There are lessons from every trip so few final reflections.
 
Forgetting card was stupid but thanks to my habit of dealing in cash if did not derail anything. Worst case scenario would be curbing my activities and this is why my first day and night were so intensive.
 
I prefer intensity  followed by idle time than things diluted in passing time i.e  2 boys followed by none than 1 a day. But that’s me.
 
Booking two nights  in two hotels at the same time did not cost much , extra 40 odd $ and it was kind of fun. Cheapest standard rooms was  comfortable enough and only enforced my long held view that splurging on accommodation, while nice and self-esteem boosting is not quite necessary  as time spent alone and awake in the room was really minimal.
 
I already mentioned, test of having short  , just weeklong trip was passed. Like ggobkk before me noticed, on short trip we are more focused. Jet lag  was not worse, sure cost of flight weighted heavier but if I want cheap trip  I can just walk to my kitchen to make another  tea.
I may be tempted to repeat that in future in connection with long weekend at home for example.
 
As always it was great pleasure to meet forum members –paulsf,  anddy,  ChristianPFC, williewillie, aussie_ and  DivineMadman ,thank you for your time gentlemen.
 
Before every trip we have anticipation to do that and to see our favorite or dreamed for guys and again it proved futile exercise.  Senso  closed due to accident so M and Jack weren’t accessible. Art from Nakarat , shining star of my last trip appeared luckily on my last evening and I still managed probably to blew chance of hosting him longer, who knows?  Another shining star from Jun, also Art from Boyz BoyzBoyz was missing in action and appeared only on my last Pattaya night without a chance of me even seeing him as I learned about that too late.  He was supposed to start at Big Boys but now when they are gone perhaps he will return to BBB , one can hope?.
 
I’m glad Kao  was working at Copa as he is one of 4 Pattaya boys I liked to see .
 
But also as always there are nice surprises – Fiber  at Prince and whole Nice Boys experience , who would think? Me having luck at Prince and being fan of Sunee? Wow !
 
Those who are reading my report  perhaps noticed, no Arena and no Tawan this time. First in time immemorial.  Perhaps a case of overexposure  ?
 
And of course there’s issue of Moonlight models, well discussed in respective thread and above. I was coming with firm resolution of trying at least one of trinity : Fluke , Sunny and Nicky and was prepared to pay whatever it takes. It took even more as I finished with three , not just one off. Like with all other luxury items one needs to answer few questions: is that really luxury ? is it worth it’s money? Do I really need that luxury? And then is a sense of adventure- how such model of certain fame will turn out up close? Not only attitude but look itself – often , at least for me,  boys on the stage look bit different than   up close and partially , even skimpy dressed   are always bit different than in their own skin only.
 
My experience with Jupiter boys in the past was not good, not good at all but it was in the past.
 
And I know how it works , sometimes even night after night are different with the same guy.
 
So for me it was curiosity much more than everything else and it worked obviously if I went for it again and again.
 
Yes,  for me they  look  much better than average  and more important – they are exactly types I like, muscly but not overbuilt. Sure one can spot similar specimens elsewhere – Fiber, Keow and Art , all three would fit nicely on that stage but here at Moonlight they are in mass so to speak, nit 1 or 2 but 6 or 8.
 
So for me it worked, luxurios, worth my outlay and I need that experience  because of twins-their looks and my curiosity.
Would I recommend ? Yes if somebody is looking for the same experience I was looking.
 
Will I repeat ? I only hope  I will be able to. But one of sign of luxury is rarity, LOL
 
Best part of whole endeavor with those boys was not  their looks- it may not appeal to everybody although certainly appealed to me. It was very pleasant surprise of absolute lack of any bad attitude, they went along with  they thought I like and they finish sessions when they feel they can.  Very important for me but how did they knew? I did not tell them so obviously both were good in reading my signals.
 
So yes, fortune was spent , what’s  worse somebody else’s money partially but I did not bring myself to ruin and as always I say I rather pay twice for something I like than have something I don’t  for 1/3 of price.

When the models came out, I sat up straight with my eyes peeled as this was the subject of our extended conversations. Sure enough they didn’t disappoint yet again. This was the first time I was seeing Babe in the flesh. He is cute, very cute in fact. Unlike the other models who look better in person, Babe is just as appealing on and off camera...which likely accounts for his modelling success. He definitely had the girls in the front row gasping each time he flashed them a grin.
 
There are two new models added (you can see them in most recent FB videos), neither of whom I find attractive nor to the standard of the others. Also somewhat lacking in personality and stage presence. As vinapu has noted, there are other boys in the rotation who are more worthy of being ‘upgraded’ to model status. I wondered if they were permanent or brought on for the night to make up for some absences. According to mamamsan , Nicky has been on extended vacation for some days. I smiled to myself when I heard that, thinking his relaxing time off may have been partially enabled by the good heart of our Vinapu! Tam was present but almost incognito in street clothes seated in the audience. When the models paraded down to wai the customers, a few paused to give him multiple exaggerated wais with great sarcasm. He returned the favour by heckling loudly from the audience when the models had to present themselves again, leading to Fluke and Tae cracking their icy demeanour with beautiful grins on stage. Very good to see this camaraderie among the models and Fluke in particular has a smile which can rivals Babe’s, it totally transforms his stern looks.
 
As always, Sunny awed with his dancing and also did a competent solo of Careless Whisper. Babe is probably the next best dancer, a natural mover with great charisma. I was not planning to off due to limited time and no hotel, but was hopeful of inviting Sunny for a drink to coax a smile, conversation and finally solving the mystery of whether he could be offed by customers. Sadly for me, he was once again seated with a solo Chinese lady as soon as he left the stage and didn’t go near other customers.
 
After finishing my post-show drink, I went for a walk to reacquaint with Twilight which was surprisingly quiet. Peeked into a couple of other bars but nothing of great interest. Then home for a quick nap and transferred onwards to the airport again. A very enjoyable and unlooked for night in the middle of a busy work schedule.
