The female part I believe it's because most of the farang female came to Thailand for tourist. And some of the gay men (Like me) come to Thailand with a major purpose of going to bars or offing some boys. And the aesthetic standard in Asia is more about skinny and twinky. I don't see many of the westerner females are interested in tiny body boys. I would say that's why we have a lot more Asian females customers in Thai gogobars.

Is Bali expensive? Do you have other thoughts on the living(travelling) quality there?

I was joking, but thanks for the recommendation. And you got the x-boys part right. The tall skinny old mamasan there wasn't my fav. Constantly asking for tips and that annoys me a lot. I just so hope that bars will be reopened already in new area when I arrive. otherwise it's gonna be a bad trip since my plan is staying there for too weeks

I thought x-boys is one of the biggest in soi twilight. What are your recommendations on other bars? Since I've only been in jupiter and x-boys for my last 4 days bangkok visit. It was too short for me to discover more bar. Though I'm not sure if soi twilight will remain open in my May visit but still wanna hear some recommendations.

I tried to defend our people then realized yea some of the Chinese do tip way too much and it's making the market worse, but I think some of the jupiter guys are picky because they are mostly straight and we all know Jupiter isn't lack of female customers. They could be picky on guys.

Thanks for the info Jason, but do you know when in April? Early or late April? Are some of them moving to soi 4 or just gone. I'm going to bangkok in Early May so I'm really nervous about half of the bars are closed before I get there. I did hear some news about new business in soi 4 (next to jupiter) so I'm a bit hopeful about that.

As I mentioned in my another thread, I'm a chinese. And I'm planning to travel to bangkok and pattaya in May for two weeks. Which made me scanning all Thailand forums I know for more info. So I have heard and found threads in some chinese forums talking about jupiter and whatever bars I haven't heard of, are increasing the long term tip for the boys dramatically. I think they said short time for 2500 and long time for 5000 or something. I went to bangkok last July myself and the pricing was short for 2000 and long for 3000 which I believe it is how it used to be and should be. I'm curious if any forum members have recently traveled to bangkok and offed some boys may inform me about the pricing right now in Thailand. I'm not sure the prices in the chinese thread I found was because that member is a newbie to Thailand and got tricked or something. Since we all know some mamasans are from hell and evil lol.

that is so good to hear. I personally wanted to be a nice friend of an informative mamasan too. So I can have a nice experience in the bar and also maybe have some contacts info of some boys who I'm interested in. Then maybe I can off them without going to bar and paying the bar lol. Since I can't afford to buy drinks to every single boy that I'm interested in to just have a little chat.

that is so true. A good honest mamasan is really helpful for newbies or even old customer for knowing the new boys

As a Chinese forum member, This forum has been really helpful and informative for me. And there's one thing I'm really curious about if anyone have experienced while in Thailand. Since in Chinese culture, some people have been somewhat racist to our own kind lol. Most of last gen would worship a westerner for no reason, and so some of the Asian countries. But last time when I was in bangkok. Every gogobar I went, the mamasans and the boys (gay ones) have been somewhat focusing on me a lot. I don't know if that's because my young age or because of they are used to other chinese tourist who would tip a lot. I personally didn't understand why. And the scene which made me wanna post this thread is that. I was chatting with a mamasan in a bar, and I pointed to a boy on stage and told the mamasan I would love to chat with that boy. then before the mamasan called that boy over. Another table of some westerner foreigners called the boy over and started to chat with the boy I wanted. I told the mamasan that it was fine and I will wait til their table finishes their talk. But the mamasan WAS NOT HAVING IT. He waited like 10 seconds and went to that table and told the boy to rush up and come over to my table. I was so embarrassed because it was kind of rude taking someone out while they were having a talk. And as I expected, that whole table of people were NOT happy. They looked like they would come over and choke me to death if it was legal lol. It was stressful and funny at the same time. And the first thought came over my mind was that this would never happen in China, The waiters would not give a dam about local and would go serve the westerners. So I'm really curious if any other Thai places have given attitude to any forum members and serving somewhat better to other chinese(or other ethnicity) groups.

The skinny tall mamasan who works in x-boys bangkok is so bad and pushy. I called 2 boys over and have bought them drinks and was having fun with them. The Mamasan did not help about all this but then came over and asked for tip. I gave him 50 so I could enjoy my time and he gave me a s--t face. LIke WHY are you mad about taking 50 tip when you did nothing helpful. Tho that was a bad experience. I have to admit that some mamasans could be really helpful and fun to interact with. I had met a mamasan in jupiter2018 and he was funny and helpful. He came of my table while I was sitting really far back and enjoying the show. I think he kind of realized that I was a newbie to all thai gay area. And he was introducing each boy on the stage tome and told me that he could tell them to come over and chat with me. I went to Jupiter a few times because I liked that mamasan really much and he NEVER asked for tips which I actually gave him every time I left because he was nice the whole time.

Did I understand it right? Sex is cheaper in Brazil than in Thailand?
