When the "Breaking News" came in on MSNBC-- (the first time this morning), I thunderously applauded twice!!  Now the new Congress in 2021 must change the entire immigration situation as well as give all DACA recipients a true pathway to citizenship.

A few days back, I read what "daddy" had written regarding the protests and the murder of the young 27 year-old man in Atlanta.  After I read his slightly confusing yet disturbing take, I sat in front of my computer and said: "Well, he will NOT receive any donation from me now!"

I really can't imagine Trump's Klan campaign rally in Tulsa is going to be anything but a shitshow, possibly a bloodbath.  Especially the way they idiotically called attention to it by scheduling it on Juneteenth and then only moving it back a fucking day, if people want to protest both the history and current titular head of white supremacy, Tulsa this weekend seems like the ticket!

Completely agree. President Trump has moved so far right, he is unwilling to rename Fort Hood and Fort Benning, venerable locations named after Civil War legends of the Confederacy.
Reminds me of when radical conservative Francis Cardinal Spellman of New York was Chaplain of the United States military.
    Update:

The Republican controlled Senate Armed Services Committee disagrees with Trump. The committee favors renaming these forts. Fu*k, good move.

Top U.S Military Official, General Mark Milley, Apologizes for Role in Trump Photo-Op
Better late than never, I suppose. General Milley should not have agreed to go in the first place, especially dressed in combat fatigues. Given how much Trump hates apologies, this should be one more prick up his sorry ass.

84-year old Larry Kramer, a loud and constant presence in the fight against AIDS, has died at the age of 84. He was an author, a playwright, and a rabble rouser who did not suffer fools easily.
    RIP

To get this thread back on track, Fox News is Racist is trending on Twitter. Here is why:
Some asshole producer at Fox News actually assigned some underling with the task of pulling Stock Market records to show the gains just days after major events involving the deaths of Blacks. Here is that graphic:

And here is an article about this:
Fox News graphic that shows markets rising after black men, including George Floyd, were killed is 'disgusting' says Congressman
The Black Lives Matters movement is precisely about revealing the institutional racism that exists in American culture. Yo Daddy, this is prime example of institutional racism!

Thank you, William. (Un)Fortunately, the rumor is that tomorrow protest will be huge. I am concerned about getting infected, DC is one of current hot spots even if the city is re opening. I need to refocus on sex and porn. Politics fires me up, I need to go back to work for the boys in my network.
My friends are a very diverse crew, but mostly in their 20s and early 30s. Most of them are going to be participating and keeping me posted through FaceTime and WhatsApp. What a week.

Ironically, I received an email today from a favorite NYC Foundation I have supported for decades. This email shocked me. It shocked me because of its courage. It shocked me because of its honesty. The writing shocked me: it's extremely well written. The intent is profound and life-affirming. I am a very proud member.
This email reminded me of super smart business practice. If Daddy had a brain and a heart, he either would have stayed silent on the subject of BLM, never allowing his personal politics to interfere with his running an escort board, or he could have written a similar letter to the escort community and the gay men who love them.
I share this email with BoyToy members:

"We Stand With Black Lives Matter
Over the last week the James Beard Foundation has been quiet. In our silence we have been coming to terms with the enormity of the work we have to do as an organization.
The murder of George Floyd and the protests against the racialized police brutality and injustices Black people have faced in this country for centuries have galvanized our organization’s commitment to racial justice. We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.
We acknowledge that solidarity is not enough, and that we have more work to do in centering anti-racism in our messaging, our programs, and our own internal structure and staff. The James Beard Foundation has an all-White leadership team and an overwhelmingly White board of trustees. We know this must change and are committed to making the change.
For more than 30 years, the James Beard Foundation has stood for excellence in the restaurant industry. But we have never fully acknowledged that this industry was built upon a culture of oppression and privilege. A culture that oppresses the Black and Brown people who make up nearly 50 percent of America’s food and beverage workers, and one that perpetuates inequities from wage disparity to harassment to outright violence, cannot rightfully be considered excellent by any moral standard.
Although the concept of equity has been part of our mission for years—to make the world more equitable, sustainable, and delicious for everyone—we realize the limitations of our understanding of what equity really means.
It’s past time to acknowledge that the White privilege that keeps us safe is a weapon used against our Black colleagues and community. It is imperative for White people to face our privilege, to gather our White family members, friends, coworkers, and community members and fight for the rights, freedoms, and self-determination of Black people.
In a time of economic uncertainty and political division, facing a global pandemic, brave people around the country have risen. We join them and we commit to make real, substantive change in our organization and in our industry so that their efforts will not have been in vain.
We will be sharing updates over the coming weeks on the James Beard Foundation’s priorities, funding, and programs, as well as resources for our audience to join in the Black Lives Matter in an effort to dismantle systemic racism. Racial equity must be at the core of any and all of our efforts to build back a better industry, as humble, open partners."

The latest daily toll is 1100 dead. In one day. This figure in a country like Brazil would be a gross understatement. Truly appalling.

An interesting point. When Brazil was staging circuses like the World Cup and the Olympics I recall there was a major backlash with rational people arguing the money should have been spent on education and more importantly its apparently decrepit hospital system. With this system now stretched to its limit and beyond Brazil is not a country to get sick. Something to consider.

I think all of us are looking to 2021 for some semblance of normalcy to return to the world after undergoing the horrendous pandemic of COVID-19.  It truly bothers me; I know many others concur.  Unfortunately, everyone and everything is affected, some much more than others.  Escorts and clients would fall in the former category.
I have a friend/guide in Sao Paulo who had a high position in the travel industry; a few weeks ago he posted on Facebook that he'd lost his job and would begin seeking clients to whom he could teach English.  Another qualified guide in Salvador, (Bahia) Brazil has been side-lined for many a month, first from having heart problems and now from the pandemic.
Our lives have been changed unalterably overnight!
