I'd buy SOXL instead.  It's an ETF with NVDA, AVGO, all the tech powerhouses.  
My nephew was recently up close to 10x on the $7 shares he bought in Fall 2022.  I made the mistake of listening to the doom and gloom recession mongers in late 2022 and waited until Fall 2023 to jump into SOXL.  But as Jim Roppel said recently, the "real money" started to be made starting Fall 2023.  And he thinks about half of the money made on this bull will be in AI/tech related investments like SOXL and FNGU.
Doesn't it shock you, @EmmetK, that real smart and rich traders and investors are not screaming, "Buy Trump!  Buy DJT!"
Anyhoo, SOXL just had the inevitable freefall correction from $58 to about $30.  I actually sold half of mine in the 40's, at like a 100 % profit, thinking there would be a correction and I'd take some profits and buy back later.  And now I will.  A LOT.  I think by the end of May it may be the $20's.  As will DJT.  Again.

If you bought Trump stock two weeks ago (when it bottomed out at $22 on April 17) - and shame on you if you didn't - you more than doubled your money as it is now over $48...

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report) – In a twist that surprised even the most hardened trial watchers, Donald J. Trump’s hush money trial came to a sudden conclusion on Wednesday after the defendant issued a full confession while soundly asleep.
Trump, who had been snoring vigorously all morning, began mumbling shortly after 10 a.m. despite Judge Juan M. Merchan’s admonishment that he quiet down.
His eyes still closed, the indicted businessman blurted, “I had sexual relationships with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, then orchestrated an elaborate hush money conspiracy to corrupt the 2016 election.”
The courtroom was dumbfounded to hear Trump issue not only a complete confession but also a complete sentence, witnesses said.
As Trump’s head bobbed forward and he resumed snoring, his lawyers gathered their papers with an air of resignation and quietly filed out of the courtroom.
His lead attorney, Todd Blanche, was philosophical about the trial ending so prematurely, telling reporters, “We probably weren’t going to get paid anyway.”

So it looks like he hit his bogey yesterday, keeping the stock price above $17.50 for twenty days, and he's been awarded another 36 million shares.  If my math is right, that brings his total holdings to 115 million shares.
 
As if on cue, yesterday Devin Nunes asked Congress to investigate the potential "unlawful manipulation of DJT stock."  Now that Trump has pocketed his 'earnout' bonus, my prediction was - and is - that he'll start bellyaching that he's once again being 'treated unfairly'.
It would be nice if, just this once, he'd step up and say, "I'm running this business, my name is on the door, and it's up to me to make it a success and deliver value to our shareholders.  I, Donald J. Trump, will make sure my investors and supporters are not left holding the bag."
If he can make America great again, why can't he make Trump Media great again?

plunged Monday after the social media app company closely tied to former President Donald Trump reported a net loss of $58.2 million on revenue of just $4.1 million in 2023.
Trump Media & Technology Group shares were trading down by more than 25% around 1:08 p.m. ET.
The losses last year by Trump Media — the owner of the Truth Social app routinely used by the former president — could continue for some time, according to the company.
“TMTG expects to incur operating losses for the foreseeable future,” says the filing, which came a week after the company began trading under the ticker DJT on the Nasdaq.
The filing also warns shareholders that Trump’s involvement in the company could put it at greater risk than other social media companies.
TMTG also disclosed to regulators that the company had identified “material weaknesses in its internal control over financial reporting” when it prepared a previous financial statement for the first three quarters of 2023.
As of Monday, Trump Media said these “identified material weaknesses continue to exist.”

I'm up about 150 % on SOXL and FNGU since last Fall.  My nephew, who is nerdy smart, is now a millionaire thanks to the shares he bought in Fall 2022 and just kept buying.  He's up like 500 %.  So I'm fine.  But thanks for your concern.  Good luck on the investing.
Most of my net worth is in real estate.  For some strange reason, I don't go bankrupt.  Or get near bankrupt again, and decide to "share the wealth" with genocidal Russian leaders with rich pals who bail me out, with strings always attached.  I guess I'm just weird that way.
I'd be careful, though.  From 1996 to 2000 I organized two statewide coalitions in Oregon that stopped Enron from fucking up the state the way they did California.  My job was to convince regulators and politicians it was a scam.  We stopped Enron, completely, and won everything we wanted.  So I know a little bit about scammers.  You've just got to be careful out there, buddy.
 

 
Of course, the whole thing with Enron was to make the corruption so complicated no one could understand it.  DJT is not that smart.  It's a meme stock.  Not well put together, just like his crappy stuff made in China.  And he knew if he could use Genocide Money to get it listed his cult would buy, buy, buy.  It's a simple concept.  Pyramid scheme sort of thing.  Might not make a good long term investment.  But enjoy the ride.
